My biggest complaint is the snout. It just looks so off that I can't look at it. Other than that, I pretty much love it...Well, maybe I could do without the breast-like chest fluff. XD

It's cute... but too, well, dopey-looking. I always adored the old one because of the tilt of the head, which let it keep the adorability but also look intelligent. And the green eyes were nicer, too, even if the blue is pretty. I love it, but I'm going to have to say that I love the old one a little more... maybe you could just make the pose a bit more similar?

Aside from that, I'd like to suggest again that if you don't want to make the eyes green, perhaps you could make them a similar color to the wings. Maybe also, if others agree, you could put some kind of green in the eyes and wings as highlights for the purple?

And again, thank you for the time and effort you put into this. I appreciated, and I'm sure there are others who do as well. =)

I like the tail and the wings it's just the paw, eyes and snout that creep me out a bit. In my opinion the head is a bit big. It's still sorta cute though

The old one looked more like a "ruff sketch" compaired to the new one. I personaly think the wings are a bit small though. But other than that the new one is alot better (in my opinion)

I'd like it more if the snout was bigger and the eyes were smaller. Maybe if it was more quad like too?

I love the eyes and wings, but I just don't really like the feet. Plus, I feel like it's back is too straight.

I agree that the newer version looks too human-like. I like the more cartoon-ish look to the old one, but I also like the higher quality artwork of the newer version.

I've been thinking a while, and I have some further critique. I'm probably going to repeat myself though. ^^" I like the idea of the muzzle in Nat's edit.

I also like the legs(not the feet, the legs) in Silverpaws' edit.

Though I agree that the Torrey needed redone, I'm not sure I like it. Though mouth seems a little oddly shaped (in my opinion), and all of the fur on the paws reminds me of the Grinch. O---o

awwws my comment was deleted when a new news thing had to be made 'cause of all the mean comments on the last one...anyway i wanted to say again how much i loves the new look of the Torrey...the wing color pick is perfect in my opinion and everything is well put together in size...i am in awe of the subeta artists talents on here...it is hard to do artwork which alot of people on here may not realize how much work it takes to do it all...keep up the good work, subeta artists and staff

I like this revamp very much! The only thing I would prefer is to see some teeth. That would up the charisma factor for me--A beautiful sweet teethy smile. Great colorization on the wings!

Can we model him more like the Galactic Torrey? C: It's fabulous, and paired with Jag-art, I think Torreys would be absolutely irresistable. ( But I love Torreys anyway, and I'm so glad it's getting a revamp. )

I love it! My only complaint is the change of eye colour 'cause I love the green. Also it kind of looks like one of the wings is just kind of floating. Either way I love it. Especially the wing detail.

Mainly the (our) right foot was bothering me. I turned it a little more towards us.

I thickened the arms, made the eye smaller, thickened and lengthened the muzzle a little, made the nose a little bigger, and also thickened the neck. I believe I also fiddled with the wing a little.

:/ I'm sorry if this sort of critique isn't permitted. It was the best way I could think of to express what I wanted to get across.

Sorry if I may have offended anyone with my comments. I may have sounded pretty biting, but it doesn't do anyone any good if I sugar-coat my feelings. Anyway, regarding the old torreys... assuming I can get my staff members right, Jag also did the reborn torrey, did she not? I think she should base the revamp fully off of that one. She's a fantastic artist, no doubt about that, but I have full faith in the fact that she can do so much better than this revamp.

As I said before in my previous post, the proposed revamp is a nice piece of art, very nicely colored...but I'm not fond of it because it doesn't feel like a Torrey.

First of all, the muzzle is too thin and the nose too small. The neck could also use some thickening. Also, the upper arms and the hind legs are too thin as well and don't look quite right with the thickness of the paws. Also, I agree with those who say that the tummy is not substantial enough. It's very flat and lacks the fluffiness of the current version. And, yes, you've read this a bajillion times, but the eyes were much better green. All in all, character design-wise, this version is much more like a cute squirrel than the foxish creature that the Torrey currently is.

Now, to the pose. It's stiff and much too erect. The current Torrey's pose is sort of a relaxed slouch, a "C" shape, with the head cocked to the side ever so slightly. The proposed revamp's pose is ramrod straight and very stiff. Less relaxed and cool and more like...a cute squirrel begging for nuts. This change in posture also has an impact on how the Torrey looks, just as much as the anatomy and the coloration.

So, in conclusion, it's a very well done piece of art and as a stand-alone piece unattached to anything preexisting, it's fine and dandy, but in my eyes it just doesn't work as a Torrey revamp in my opinion. It would be nice if it leaned more toward the anatomy of the Galactic Torrey, which is very close to the current version but the quality is updated.

To me, it looks a little bit unproportional. The Eyes and Tail are great but in my opinion the nose is too small and the shoulders aren't broad enough.

I love it! There's just one hing that bugs me...

The left side (from our view of it) seems a bit bigger than the right. It's supposed to be the other way around, isn't it? You know, so the left side looks further away?

Good work either way! I can't even do half as good as that.

I'd either make the muzzle slightly larger or the eyes slightly smaller. Am a fan of the wing's color change though. I'd give a more detailed concrit, but others have expressed my shared opinions in much more eloquent ways than I possibly could.

I loveee the wings, and the big tail, and the overall new fluffiness of the entireeeee thing, it's adorable. The only things I have kind of a problem with are the feet--if they had more of a paw look, like a little more detail, they'd be perfect.

I like the new one...earlier I wasn't so sure but it's grown on me. I just think it should smile less.......the amount it's smiling looks a bit creepy...maybe a little smile? That would be more cute. ^.^

The artwork is very good though; in particular the eyes. I also like the wings.

But yeah, for something constructive, it's defininately the smile thing goin' on. :p

The revamp is great, but the body seems way to small to support it's errrr...rather large head. I feel as though it needs more fluff in certain places, like it's stomach and legs. The blue eyes and wings are an awesome addition to the pet though.

I love the detail that was lacking in the old one. The colours are very nice, especially the wings. I think the muzzle (and body too somewhat) is a little thin, though. But overall this is a huge improvement over the old, forgettable Torrey look. I hated the old eyes, and these ones are much more expressive and endearing. ^^

My suggestion: Make the tail a bit smaller and change the muzzle so it looks more like the Galactic's. But either way, I'd SO get this pet. XD Loving it more and more over time.

I have to agree that the coloring and such is really awesome and up to date. =D Jag did a nice job with that.

But I think that the upper arms should be... maybe thicker or furrier. I still like the way the mouth looks. XD

I'm not sure about the color change to the eyes.

And about the face, I know Jag drew it a while ago, but it could probably look better if it was like the Galactic, or the Reborn. The Galactic Torrey is my favorite pet~ <3 I think that type of face would suit the Torrey for all time~

I see a lot of comments saying the snout is too small. To me, it looks longer than the current version. I would agree that a longer snout might be better, though. Eye color change doesn't bother me (might if I had one!)...but I think the wings should be lighter. I like the color that was used, but it doesn't really coordinate with the pet.

Very nice. The pose and face are especially well done. One thing I should add though is the couple colour changes that were not really nessicary, such as the wing and eye colour changes. Beyound that superficial note, it's lovely, great work. ^^

Not completely feeling the love on this revamp. If the head is to stay the same size, then the body looks too skinny to support it; I appreciate the extra fluff the old torrey has. I agree also with those who say the feet and the muzzle need a bit of tweaking. The placement of the feet makes the new torrey look bowlegged to me; I'd prefer some digits, as well, to be consistent with the forepaws. And as for the muzzle, I'd widen it at the base, as people have said, and maybe even elongate it a bit more. I always thought of the torrey as more vulpine, less like a squirrel (which is how the face makes it seem now).

That said, there are things I do like about it. The new wing color is very nice--stands out but still fits the color scheme--and I like how the tail looks oh-so-fluffy. Wing placement is good, too ('cause I'm assuming it does connect at the shoulder and there's a bit of wing anatomy we can't see), and the bangs are much better. The pads of the right forepaw are a nice touch, as are the more defined digits, in my opinion. I do hope these things are kept when the revamp finally goes through.

Overall, it's not a bad revamp, per se. The attention to detail puts the artwork up to standard with the rest of the revamps, but I like the old torrey better overall, so that's how I voted. I really do like the dreamy expression the old one has... always imagined it looking up at someone as if to say, "I'm a good boy, ya?" even if it has gotten in trouble.

I'd give the feet/hands a little more defination, as well as make the neck a little thicker. Maybe change the wing color? It's not my favourite pet, but I think this version is better, just needs a little editing. ^^

All in all, looks very good, though~

I think the reason I don't like it is because of the eyes and the wings. I like the eyes green. And the wings have a dark purple and I don't like it. Other than that it is great.

I'd rather have the old one right now than this new one, but that doesn't mean the old one is perfect or the new one isn't good. I think if the new one had a wider snout and if the wings were more like the old torrey I'd like it more. Other than what I mentioned, I think it's quite gorgeous. ;3 I was looking forward to the torrey revamp, now all we need is one for the charlie... wink wink nudge nudge

I like the newer one because there are more details in the fur than the older one. The eyes and wings also have good details in them. I also think the wings should be a lighter color or the fur, to give nice contrast.

Those eyes are Beautiful! The tail is gorgeous. One thing I must say, the paws look kinda blobbish. Just add a few lines to give a sense of more of a digit. not entirely like a finger but a bit more separated you know.

The muzzle does seem a bit short, but that doesn't really bother me. I liked the green eyes and cream colored wings better than the blue eyes and purplish wings. On the whole it looks cute, but I liked the lighter colors of the original more.
