i like the old one better because it has a cuter face with the big smile and the big green eyes. The new one is great because it has more defined lines and the colour is better too, but the expression of the old one i like better

I find it pitiful that people have to be reminded not to be so rude. :| But I'll post exactly what I did earlier: I think the tail should be set higher up and the feet look strange... I'm not sure what to do with the feet, but they deffinatly need t ochange... but, everything from the knees upwards is perfection

I love the new style. The only thing I would change would be the stance and the tail. I can't exactly place why, but there is something a little odd about it. As for the tail, I think it needs to be more bushy. It seems to go thin then bushy, but there isn't that gradual flow going from thin to bushy. The artists did a great job on it tho.

i like the old one alot better. this one looks like one of the bernstein bears. the snout and wings needs to be worked on and please keep the green eyes!

I love the dark color and detail of the wings, and the ears make me VERY happy, but I think a little tweaking of the snout area would make it even better.

I think this looks really good. I love the detail and the overall design, but to me the wings look a bit off. Maybe it's just the color, but i like the design of the wings.

To me, it's not a bad redraw. But if it were me, I would do something with the bottom jaw, to me it looks too small for the size of it. The eyes are alright, keep them. The nose is too small, it's not a mouse. The fur on the head, I would go more with what the original one has, more of a spiky look to it, instead of the toupee look. The wings, I agree with Saphira. How they are now, the small gap between the arm and the body should have color to it to show the wings attachment to the body not the arm. The color, not so out there, go with more of a mellow color than one that distracts from the full picture. Other than that, it's not bad. Just a minor tweak here and there.

In my opinion, the facial proportions look really off and the smile is slightly creepy. The way the fur on the paws is drawn makes this species look like it's something out of a Dr. Sues book. Also, it looks like a furry. I have to say I disapprove of this revamp.

I must give kudos to the artist for the shading, but that's all I like here.

Lovely shading but I must say that I'm not very fond of the feet or the mouth/nose area. The rest is pretty good. I love the eyes. :3

The only real issue I have with it is the pose - it looks really stiff and unnatural, like it's been stuffed and mounted, or has been posing for the artist way too long, or something. I'd rather it look more relaxed and casual, which'd fit the species much better imo.

I acutally like the purple wings, though if they were a bit lighter it'd be easier to see the details in them :3

I love the new wings and tail, but I think that the nose is too narrow for its face and the old Torrey's pose, to me, was perfect. I also miss how the mood was portrayed in the old Torrey's face as opposed to the cartoon-y stare it has now.

Overall, I think that the art is very well done, but I also think that some slight changes would make it perfect. ^^

Woow! What an improvement ^^ I like. My only concern is that the legs look off, I think its because they're both going in different directions XD Oh and the neck, it probably needs widened just a little bit

But overall, great improvement, I love the detail on the eyes and tail.

I think it's a major improvement. They only problem I have with it (which I had with the older version too) Is the fact that it's paws and feet look....too Dr. Suess like....That pretty much is my only problem. But the art is much better, I like the new details, the wings are fab, and over all : It's a great revamp.

It's paws are simply adorible as well as the tail. The wings are nice as well. I belive it was the face that may be the point where it lost my vote Sorry. Good on most other things though

Hooray, thank you for updating the rules on this. Now I feel like I can post here in peace, without wading through a sea of stupidity!

That being said, I'm not really that fond of this, but I think it has awesome potential. The shading on it is absolutely beautiful, especially on the tail.

The pet itself looks awkward to me though, especially the shape of the face, particularly around the muzzle. I feel like this came out extremely cartoonish, almost silly, and it really doesn't seem to match Subeta's overall art style to me. I understand the torrey has huge eyes, but they seem way over exaggerated here. I'm also someone who was a fan of the old green eye color, but that's just personal preference, I suppose! I also feel that if the torrey is supposed to be a goblin-fox, it's coming across too much as a squirrel-type creature here instead. The wings could perhaps stand to be moved into a different position: here, they appear to be coming out of the arm rather than the back.

Also, as another personal opinion, I (and it seems several others!) am extremely fond of both the Reborn and the Galactic Torrey, both of which I think have wonderful art and truly represent a lovely pet. I would love to see a Torrey revamp take on some of the ideas of those two redraws, instead of going an entirely different direction. I hope this helps!

I love the amount of detail put into this. The shading really does at a lot of depth. In comparison, the purple wings seem out of place with the rest of the woodsy coloring.

The color of the new one is much richer, the tail is fantastic...and the face adorable...the ears are perfect with the little fur in them...I can even say I like the blue eyes...but the legs are kinda too thin, the wings color looks a shade or two too dark. Just my opinion though. Over all the art work is awesome !!!

i dont like how teh hair covers up the the eye, it makes the one look smaller, adn i belive it may use a little more 'cutness' XD, but other than that, it is great!

The other eye is smaller because the Torrey's face is turned slightly 3/4...

If it's supposed to be a goblin-type, then why does it look so very much like a squirrel? (too many squirrels on-site of late!) I also dislike it's taller/lankier look...the old one had more meat on his bones. Eyes, please be green like the original in common color. And the wings are too Purpley/Burgundy(cool/blue) to fit even with the new blue eyes. The original had all earthy based colors that were in the similar tone/hue factor, so there being warms and cools together throws it right off. It's head seems a little too big for the thinner body thus leading toward a Chibi appearance in it's common form. Snout seems a little too thin and pointy, but that may be to my affection for the former Torrey face that wasn't as defined.

It's good to see the little guy redrawn though. I've been waiting on more/new colors on him for about 3 years now.

K I'll post it again. I'm probably one of the few but I LOVE the thick lower arm/paw look. I realize it's very stylized and not for everyone but please keep it. It definitely gives the torrey a semblance of uniqueness.

On the subject of eyes, when I was comparing the new and old together I thought that the blue eyes contrasted better than the old green eyes.

The only things that bother me are the lack of Chubbiness and the weird way the hair goes over the eye. It makes the eye look smaller then the other and there is something else I can put my finger on. Any who. The art is a great improvement! Very very very great job!

I really like it because of the coloring and the detail, but I'd REALLY like it if the eyes would remain green like the original. As I stated in the past post for this, 11 pets have blue eyes. Don't make it 12, please? ;-;

Plus bright green eyes are just so beautiful and rare. And I think it makes it stand out more.

I'm not a huge fan of the feet, to be honest. They make em think of the Grinch. Not that that's really bad or anything, I just think you should maybe give it a hint of toes in there. Like they're buried in fur rather than looking like it's like one big blob. I don't know how to explain that without it sounding offensive. I'm sorry. :c

I also liked the pose of the old one better. The Torrey strikes me as a small and cuddly creature. And the old pose gave it that friendly look. Like it's looking up at you all cute and cuddly.

Idk. That's my two cents.

I love the new design, it looks alot less like a cartoon and more like a pet now. ^^ I think the wings are beautiful, and the colours are alot warmer, great job!

As I said before, this revamp is great. The shading is fantastic and the torrey looks a lot better than the old one. I adore the new wings and the little devil horn wisps of fur are SO CUTE.

Notice: Very minor. All it needs is a slight widening of the nose, movement of the eyes, and slackening of the smile. It all comes together!
