Battle grinding is pretty common anywhere. It would be nice if there were a few more features but raising the cap would be nice. Doesn't affect me yet but I haven't really done a lot of battling to sit and figure it all out.

While my drawings may be just a tiny bit less sophisticated, I could supply you a years worth of weekly release art. By the end of the weekend.

Consider opening a battle challenger art contest? Get people to draw subeta-quality art for a challenger, some items too? I know a lot of people in the battle community can draw and would probably be more than willing to attempt something? Or have a subeta artist draw the challenger and then have a contest for their items?

Considering as in had Ryan and I spent time coming up with a giant list of NPCs around the site, made loot ideas for them and then wrote up how, why or something like a micro plot of each NPC wanting to fight. One the many things things that got heart, stars and rainbows of praise but didn't happen. I think I still have the smail of what I sent someone in creative for the loot ideas LOL.

Wouldn't mind seeing them do that if that meant more to do around here.

Broken image challengers that get added soonish or just text that says their bame are fine by me. As long as I can kill new stuff. We just need a reason to kill stuff. I've said before, every week or so, some random challenger should have wins reset and have new 5th win loot or aomething. A weekly chalenger doesn't need a new chalenger. Maybe a friendly competition for 10k exp to see who can get the most wins, or 10k exp to everyone who can get a certain amount of wins, like 50-100 or fewer of the chalenger is harder. There are ways to go a out this without introducing new art and new challengers.

Could always host a contest and have users draw up battle challengers and their loot? I'm sure tons of users would be happy to help with that and it would only require the BAs to actual code weapons and all that stuff and save the artists a great deal of time. :P

There are a TON of old challengers from the way-back-whens, and I'm sure and alone could make lists of items that need to be added back into circulation that could pass as relevant loot. I mean hell, Saggi's special loot is: which makes absolutely NO sense because it has nothing to do with him...

What I'm saying is, sometimes just bringing fresh things on the table, is enough to encourage people to stick with something. There's plenty of old Legendarys laying around that aren't honestly worth their current cost.. but they're pretty! And circumstancially they can be useful.

Extremly Hard throwback Water Monster = Riptide, do the same for the other elements. Not year round, just throw them out there for fresh meat!

I definitely don't think it has to be every week, the site can hardly handle battling in mass-- but once a month or every other month I think isn't that bad of an idea. I've never understood why challengers had to be one and done, especially when they're the bulk of the work. New loot items (that aren't weapons, which obviously require art + balance) don't require THAT much work-- most just get 1-2 items. But something new, and something fresh to keep old battlers amused and get new battlers dedicated (because man if there's going to be stuff like this EVERY month + potential plot battles + morostide + maybe make battle week happen yearly... then I better keep up with training because this is going to get real expensive).

I mean like, plots keep people online in mass because there is no later. If you don't participate in a plot while it's going on you're going to have to buy all of the stuff secondhand and for a lot more later. With like standard and cash shop challengers.. why rush? I'll do it later, or I'll wait for people with 15 tier 12 pets to win 15 copies and sell 14 of them and I'll buy it for cheap in a few months! With now or never battling... there is no later. LAter just costs 5 times more because that challenger is gone y'know? Or they have to wait 5 years for the challenger to reappear in a battle week and hope it's loot is the same, which it probably won't be.

I also don't think battling NPCs would be a bad idea, it's worked for Chase and Saggi and Pete and Recycle Beast... and Jacques haha. Oh, and Drills and okay the list goes on. A lot of NPCs are really well suited for battling! Euclid, The old Wizard-- you know he'd be so much harder than you'd think, Reischen, Blake and his smug little face, Merana? Hell, the Ikumoradeekanox?? YOU HIT IT AND ALL THE FRUIT HAVE DIFFERENT ATTACKS AND YOU CAN'T FREEZE TREES.. OR CURSE THEM... the harder you hit it the more damage you do to yourself.. idk!

I know we shouldn't be able to defeat gods but Melaria's been hoarding weapons for 9ever... and she just screams (redo the way boss battles work first, and then make her into a) boss battle!

I think having a user challenger drawing contest would be a good idea too. As long as it doesn't have a prize pool/judging that costs more work than drawing the challenger drawing would have XD.

Hahaha xD! I have a very mentally taxing job dealing with a massive amount of tedious information (not to mention the math! ff) so on the weekend after a round or two of coffee my brain's ready to think about shit like it usually does... so since I don't have any work to do (because hell if I'ma think about pipelines when I'm not getting paid to do so) I think about (amount other things) subeta instead :P

Also, y'know.. coffee. Shit's magic.

Or just add "Evil" in front of every challenger name and bam, we get twice as many challengers :D Just add devil horns to each one of their images. Who doesn't want to fight evil? ;)

Anyhow, how much longer is it going to take to raise the stat cap? If Keith isn't doing it, and Cranberry or Purge isn't either, can we get his pet Raise to do it for us? :P
