Not a fan of the idea of locking items in our wardrobe, however if they are from those sales where we buy csc for sp then I'm totally in for it.

No thanks. We have enough hard to get/impossible items on site to add another "you'll never get this" set to the site. And that's coming from someone who never takes anything out of her wardrobe. I have no problem with keeping things in there, but I hate the idea of items that could never make it into shops.

I like the idea but I'd rather have the item in inventory and decide whether to put it permanently in wardrobe or keep for other uses, some clothes have more than one function and people may want them for treasure chests or things like that...

It's an interesting idea, but I'm definitely not a fan. Unless I'm misunderstanding, you'd have the ability to buy a bunch of things... that you could never remove from your wardrobe or sell/give away if you get sick of having them/don't want them anymore. I've never really been a fan of bound items in games or on sites.

(And I like the idea of being able to get items even if I wasn't on the winning side for an event or didn't get the higher up prizes.)

for players who arrived after a certain contest, who may really want the item, but never be able to get it. kinda like the items from the alexander page hunt, that are almost impossible to get now, but you can&;t take part in any more

^^ And this is exactly why.

Let the people who want to profit off it do that and the people who want the items get it.

I didn't even think of that. That's a brilliant point. Not everyone is all about the wardrobe cough cough

Yea i don't really like this for a few reasons.

Nothing on this side besides private cw's have the chance of being 100% off limits to us users. Its always been that way and i like it that way. We already have cw's which are almost impossible to get, in some cases are impossible why add regular site regulated items to that mix as well. There are already a TON of collections we don't need another one. This seems like a way to just get csc to inflate even more/ find a way to get csc less circulated so you can't buy them with sp, not a way to make users happy.

This reminds me so much of "Bind on Pickup" in MMORPGs. I've never been a fan of bound items, because it's frustrating if you miss them and also frustrating if you don't need the item(s) (and they keep crossing your way in your wardrobe), but I would definitely give it a try on Subeta ;)

My only fear is: Am I online often enough to get all the bound items that I want in the future? It also depends how difficult it is to gain those items. There should be items with an easy access for everyone and raritys that need lots of participation in events.

I dunno...I think that there would be an uproar either way. For old items there are going to always be people upset that they had to purchase their items for CSC or, in the case of event items, had to work hard to get those items and now they are just being handed out. Then those who pay the obscene amount are going to be upset that they paid that but cannot move it, or if they don't want it anymore, to sell it. This is different than skins because you really didn't pay for those...at least not to this point.

For new items, I just think attaching something to the wardrobe is going to irk people. Again, if it is something you earn, like a skin or salon style in the case of the shore style, then that is fine but clothing just seems a bit much... And then you have the thing of people missing these sales and getting mad cause they cannot borrow it from a friend or buy it afterwards.

Or people upset because they want something for their TC and can't move it.

Kind of interesting idea but I'm not sure. I'd rather an item be like the Hair Coupons and you would have the option to redeem the item for it to be locked into your wardrobe.

If you wanted to do this to say, bring back old zombie skins which were recently unlockable only if you still had them, then sure that makes sense - it would give people a chance to get something they once had or always wanted but that was always basically locked on an account anyhow (a lot of us have been discussing how nice it would be to be able to get achievements that unlock old zombie/event skins).

If you're talking about making super rare wears that you can only get through an event locked into the wardrobe...not so much.

I agree with what said, one of the best things about event prizes or event shop buyables is that if you miss the event or have to make a hard choice to use your points elsewhere, you still have the opportunity to get the item(s) from other users at some point. It would also end up screwing TC collectors who would need the item but have no way to move it from their wardrobe into a pet TC.

As long as there will be few opportunities to get them and the items are not 1 chance only - why not? sounds great! it's like an achievement. But the problem will come if those items will be 1 chance only, and a new user will not have this opportunity to get those items or even an old user that couldn't participate in an event for some reason.

This feature needs to be done very carefully, there are already MANY items in the site that are almost unavailable anymore - which is something that needs to be fixed as soon as possible - so I don't think we need more items that will be unavailable in the future.

Everyone, old users and new, needs to have the chance to get every item.

I don't personally like the idea of not being able to remove items from my wardrobe, especially the achievement items. I have a gallery for achievements and I would like to continue to be able to move them around, as well as all other wearable items. ~ :) ~

No. If I earned something it's mine to use it as I please.

Why I wouldn't like it (there are more reasons though):

  1. I love achievements, I collect them like nuts, so while some people might work for an achievement for the reward attached to it, i'm usually just going for it for the +1. If I work my ass of for an achievement that rewards a wearable, I want to be able to sell that wearable because it's unlikely that I care for the wearable more than for the money that it's worth. Unless it's 500sp, then i'm probably going to put it in my wardrobe.

  2. I love pets and biiiiig tc's. I constantly lust for beautiful & useful ci's for in tc's. By locking stuff in the wardrobe: what about my pets? What about my tc? If I earned the item, I want to move it where I want it. This is a pet site, you don't go around locking items in wardrobes? I mean: MY PETS KEITH, THINK OF MY PETS. I got 38 of them and the baby's want items in their tc's.

[edit] The only thing I support is the csc/sp thing, if you go buy stuff from the cash shop using sP yeah okey. As long as those items aren't only available this way.

Also: my bff is planning to move to a place where she doesn't have constant internet access. I want to be able to collect event stuff for two people. Directly tossing it in my wardrobe would prevent me from hoarding for two.

Eh... Really not keen on this. I suppose it's okay if it's handled right, but I don't like the possibility of getting stuck with unwanted wearables in my wardrobe. It would probably put me off taking part in anything that has such items as a reward.

The other side of the coin is obviously, if you give this prize out to someone who has no interest in wardrobe normally they can sell it for a tidy profit and still feel they've won something (In this case, millions!) but if you do this those who don't use the wardrobe will have gotten NOTHING that they can use and then they won't participate in the next event/plot because why bother if they don't really get anything that is of use to them.

I Don't think I really like the idea much either. I Don't mind having some locked items you can't remove, or even have the option available to each person. Could possibly even have achievements for people who do lock them, like you do for the collections. But I do think it takes away from user experience on the site, because being able to have freedom with your items, I admit is really nice. shrugs

I was actually thinking the opposite case, of being able to sell items for sP that would usually be CSC, but make it so that they immediately go into your wardrobe (and stay there) instead of you being able to sell them for CSC down the road. Which would actually increase the value of sP and probably not decrease the value of CSC but at least make it a little more stable.

So, 'no trade/resell' items? Hmm...I don't know. These items would have to be purely wearable, instead of being in two categories, like weapon/wearable, correct?

I'm not a fan of this because while I understand selling right after for profit what about the people who want to share items, put them in their tc, etc.
