No, because that's unfair if CW releasers can make the items available for sP and they can use the sP to their liking but the person who buys the item is stuck with it on their account? I don't think this makes any sense.
As for the CS flash sale thing... not sure. It would be nice because then if someone genuinely wants an item and isn't going to resell it immediately for profit, this makes sense, however people's style and opinions change so I'm not really sure I like the idea of keeping an item I may have wanted months ago and spent sP on it but not actually ever use it. So I think I veto this option too.
Like I said, the only time I might actually be okay with an item bound to my account is achievement prizes.

Echoing everyone else who dislikes the idea here. The one thing I love about subeta is that you can buy /anything/ if you can afford it and if you can find a seller. I had too many things that I wanted but could never get on a certain other website beginning with an n. cough Having items that you can't buy or remove from your wardrobe/account? Just, please, no thank you. It's not fair to me if I don't like said item and can't sell it to earn points for stuff I /do/ want, and it's not fair to other people who want to buy items they might not have been here for and now have no opportunity to get. Plus, I love putting stuff in my pets treasure if I feel like an item would belong better there than in my wardrobe.
As for the CS flash sale for sP? I have mixed feelings about this. I like the idea of giving people the opportunity to buy things directly for sP, but at the same time however, I can't tell you the number of times I've bought something from the CS that I ended up not being able to use how I wanted to/not liking it as much as I thought I would, and I like having the option to get my CSC/sP back for it, even though sometimes I sell it for less than I originally bought it for.
[edit] A small edit to clarify, I meant buy anything as in item wise, not the hairstyles from the counselors cruise as those are a bit different and weren't directly items.

With the addendum that it wouldn't be used for new items/prizes and only stuff you choose to buy I'm totally cool with this actually. It sounds like a great sP sink.
Hoarding is different when you had 22,000 useless items in your shop, collecting for an achievement or 53248957349857234 items in your vault for... whatever reason it is that people do that.

Either way I think that might be bad for the economy, because it means lots of items that would be later sold off to newer players would be stuck in wardrobes. And if a player decides do quit they won't be able to give it away/sell it either.
But you specifically said on the CSC inflated thread that you didn't like releasing more CSC as a response to inflation because people just hoard it and the system isn't affected - so I'm having trouble understanding why you think locking items so they literally can't move even if someone wanted them to would help inflation?

Then we could reintroduce them down the line and new players would pay sP/whatever for these items and we'd actually be doing the economy good by removing the sP instead of just passing it around :)
sP sinks are what the economy needs the most right now as the inflation of sP goes off the charts. Unfortunately sP sinks aren't as successful when people can just sell the items they spent the sP on down the road, just moving sP around instead of it being removed from the system.

Because people can't hoard it here? It isn't sitting in their vault waiting to be used in the future, this is something that locks the item away and the user who bought it wanted it enough to buy it.
It's not the same as us putting CSC or gold accounts in the MC and people buying them up to sell back to users a few days later after they are out of the MC. Also, like I said earlier, this wouldn't actually bring down the price of CSC. The thing is, people sitting on huge piles of sP wouldn't be making an investment by buying these items because they could never sell them, which is the problem with just putting things in the MC :)

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of "one item, two prices" depending on what you want to do with it. Also, the account-bound items would have to be a minority -- but otherwise, I could be ok with it on the situations I mentioned on my first post n_n
ok now I understand perfectly, so for example the Pirate plot shop, I can now buy a wearable for let's say 2m, it goes directly to my wardrobe and that's it. sounds fine for me.
But, (sorry for the ping) what about collection items? those are the most problematic than wears, and the INSANE prices, what will be the range? what to expect?
Also, it could nice if this feature will be also connected to not active accounts with unavailable items in their galleries, for example, if an account is not active for 1.5 years, the gallery becomes a shop and the items there will be on sell with the same rules of this feature.

Want an sP sink?

I don't like this at all. If I pay for an item I feel like I should be able to do whatever I please with them.
After skimming through the first four pages, that's what I understood - which is far from what everyone is imagining the idea to be. (Im not agreeing or disagreeing, just trying to figure out what's the idea here!)
Situation: Item is purchasable via different methods (csc, sp, event prizes)
Option one: you buy it with the currency of your choice, which becomes an item you can use/trade/sell/put in tc Option two: you buy it at a discounted sp price for wardrobe purposes, and it becomes locked so that the discount doesn't turn into a profit a week later
The purpose of locking items would be to create a sp sink that allows users to purchase various items at discounted price if they were going to serve as wardrobe purposes anyway, while still allowing them to purchase the items via other means.

The problem is that this works really well in a lot of games for a really good reason. I want to use it in a way that makes it possible for us to put items up for sP that aren't typically for sP, that can't be turned around and sold a week later bringing up further the price of CSC (as the current primary currency on the site) between users.
We can really only do that if the items are locked in some way. I wish that we could make items account bound (move between treasure / wardrobe / etc) but that isn't really possible :(

If you want to deflate the worth of sP a bit I can see where you might have CS released bases, but basically only bases or other base customizations like tattoos or hair coupons and such that would be locked to your account if you chose to buy it. That might be okay, but in terms of other kinds of wearables, I say nay.
Um I love all of these suggestions. ESPECIALLY THE TC ONE.
I really don't think such an extreme sP sink is needed, and wish this idea would stop cropping up again in different forms. I will always be against locked items.
