Another thought that occurred to me - what incentive is there for anyone to buy anything from another user if this gets added to wardrobes and/or collections?

I'm all for finding ways to make collection items more achievable, but this would devalue any other copies of an item.

Demand on any item alternately released as a straight to wardrobe or straight to collection would decrease drastically. Yes some people would want a gallery or TC copy, but the large number of users hunting the item would drop, which means that the value of the items will drop. Anyone engaged in selling for a profit to earn their sP would be now be facing huge losses as the items they're trying to sell drop to a fraction of their current value.

We need solutions that put more items into circulation without completely tanking the economy. Unless that's the goal, in which case do away with user shops and make CSC buyable at a set X sP per 100 CSC price somewhere and watch everyone spending real money here walk away.

I don't like the sound of it. It seems like it would create too many issues. Also, as nice as it is to have new features, I think it would be nicer if the ones in progress were completed first. =/

I don't like this. I mean I love to collect wardrobe items and I love to hoard them but I like being able to save up for them and keep or sell them at my own pleasure. I don't want to spend a ton of sP for a cash shop item that I can't sell back at some point later. I want to earn that item and have that item to do what I want with it, not have it be unremovable in my wardrobe. If that were the case I would just save up to buy the item to keep anyway.

Plus I think doing that would deflate the value of those items. If everyone has access to them by spending sP, then who is going to want to go for that item anymore?

As a wardrobe collector, I don't mind it at all (as long as the items are still accounted in achievements, that is; if they do, to me, it wouldn't make any difference, as I pretty much never remove stuff from my Wardrobe anyways)

This too. if people can obtain the items this way, why would they buy them from the users that have them for sale? Sounds like people who want to sell items they earned and own are going to be at a disadvantage if this comes to pass. If I pay 10 mil for an item, then it gets released in this new form, I'm most definitely not going to earn my 10 mil back later on because people would have that item without having paid what I paid.

I think it is a great idea, it would even out the SP and CSC demand and actually allow those of us who can't get a lot of CSC or CWs a chance to get CWs! Which I am in love with!! :)

Suggestion:: If this is suggested already or if I'm supposed to put this somewhere else I do apologize! Something I have always wanted to see in the Wardrobe is for items that can transform. Instead of having to take the item out, transform it and put it back into the wardrobe I would love to see something put together where you could transform it right there in the wardrobe. It would make things so much easier!

I don't really like the idea of locked items unless they are account locked and I feel that those should be very rare rewards. I am, however, in favor of the awesome ideas that have come out of this thread, such as having an sp-sink within the wardrobe itself for hairstyles. Could we also do that in the Tanning Parlor? It would be awesome if we could add more than crazy colors, more like having a flash-art catalogue of bases we could purchase/use.

I don't think this is a good idea as it will still devalue items. price is supply and demand, and if people are buying something for cheaper there's not going to be as much demand which inevitably decreases price. aside from that, while I do love sp/currency sinks I think that having a system that specifically circumvents player to player interactions and the flow of currency between players is not in the best interest of the site and its economy.

I really really hope I'm misunderstanding this part-- but why on earth would CWs be included in this idea? I'm hoping that's something that a user said and not staff because holy wow no, noooo. That is SUCH a horribly bad idea I can't even words for that.

Unless, and the only unless I can fathom for that is, the only thing considered is CWs that've been rotting in the Pawn Shop for over a year (no less than 365 days).

I don't feel like this is the best idea in the world (again, my biggest concern would be the sP to csc ratio becoming a problem, or the price of previously existing items being devalued) unless it pertained to new stock which encase that has a lot of potential for sP sinks and wear only achievement things and so on. But holy no to the CW idea, that will soo not end well when it comes to income for subeta. I would seriously never touch another CW and would sell/pawn all of mine in mass were that to happen, and I know I'm not a mega!cw buyer and I still know how much money I drop on subeta due to CWs.... I don't think that would be a good move for the site financially .

Okay hahah I was taking a moment to read through the other pages and I kept seeing "CWs" and "a great way to get them" and I started to get paranoid like no.. no that's not where this is going right? Oh but I've spent so much money hng no let's not do that, that would not be good for subeta's money and it's (CW purchasing)users sanity |DD;

Unless it was in relation to the pawn shop items, I know some of those have been in there at least a year.

- Keith did say CWs, which is where my very concerned argument against that came from. He didn't say anything about Pawn shop rejects that have been sitting there forever - he specifically mentioned our shop CWs, which clears out 90% of the reason for people to spend CSC buying the actual CWs:

Also: The event items was just an example. More toward what we&;re thinking is CW creators being able to offer items in their shops for sP - but it go directly into the wardrobe so it doesn&;t devalue the item. Or we can offer CS items on discount for sP but they go directly into the wardrobe, etc.

I&;ll edit the original post with this because I think I&;m getting a lot of feedback on the new items thing which I didn&;t actually mean to be anything other than a quick example, and not how we&;re actually thinking of using a system like this.

As someone who hoards wardrobe items with the intention to — 99% of the time — keep them permanently, I mostly like this idea. I like being able to have access to wearables that are insanely hard to buy, but that I only want to own for the sake have having a ridiculously massive wardrobe. I also tend to use some really, really weird item combinations in my HAs and don't love paying tens of millions of sp for items that are layered in such a way that you can only see five of the pixels... but I really want those five pixels, so I do it. XD

So yeah, in that way, I like it.

However, seeing as how this seems to be aimed at serious wardrobe junkies/hoarders, my only real problem with the idea from that perspective is that I like being able to lend items to friends. Yes, it might decrease the need to lend, but it wouldn't get rid of it entirely. I don't mind not being able to resell an item I own (seeing as how I almost never resell anyhow), but I do want to be able to use it however I'd like — which includes helping out friends when I can. It's kind of become a social aspect of the site, tbh, and is one of the things that makes making avatars fun.

Despite increasing buying access, if it limits lending access this could actually make creating HAs more difficult for a lot of people, which seems backwards to the intention. That would be a big thumbs down.

In regards to the locked wardrobe items, I'm not for it. Personally, I'm all for saving sP or CSC whenever I can, but it seems a little weird to, I guess, pay a little more in order to move/gift items. [That, to me, seems like how some users try to restrict customers on how to use Private CWs - where the item can't be traded, gifted or sold unless it's sold back to the user. (Though I could be wrong with that viewpoint.)]

I guess it'd be easier to decide for sure when more information comes up with how the system will pan out. o u o

I would hope that, if such a thing happened, it would be entirely up to the CW creators to do that-- and I sincerely doubt that's something anyone would do. I mean I guess on one hand that's a bypass for literally forcing people to having a private forever via sP but hahaha I just, don't see many people doing that and I don't see how that'd really work, in general.

I mean submitting a CW is $5, sP is basically fake money with no financial backing so is pulling x sP from the system really worth the financial loss of users selling CWs for sP instead of the site's $5 cut? I don't like that.

Now, CWs that've been hanging out longterm in the pawnshop, I could support that as long as it's been a while and it's pretty obvious no one's going to buy them anytime soon.

Yeah - I'm hoping that he looks at the myriad other suggestions for sP sinks that seem to be supported by people who are uncomfortable with this whole idea.

If he includes CWs, I would hope too that its at our discretion, but even then if I spent 700 for something from a user and they turn around and its now 15m in their shop to be perma-linked...I'll be pissed. I'm out real money for something I could've gotten for a fraction. I just...I think they should be left out entirely unless its items that have been in the pawn shop for at least 1 year unbought.

To be honest, I wish this was linked to a news post so more people on the site could weigh in - I feel like the vast majority of the userbase would be against this for all of the valid reasons listed and as a whole we can come up with some great sP sinks that don't ruin large chunks of the economy.
