I think this would be an interesting idea, however, I do not like the idea of items being locked to the wardrobe. As others have stated, not every item is destined to be stuff in the wardrobe.

I like the idea but only for items that are available by other means, like the CS sale idea. I'm a person who likes to collect stuff. Nothing turns me off of a site more than stuff you can just completely miss the boat on. Especially if it's a holiday event item, since those are also the times the site is hardest to use. I don't like that about the zombie skins and whatnot either, but I'm also not interested in those.

seems like a good idea and cs flash sale is great! csc price has inflated so much and likely will continue to inflate bc of cws/cash items.

achievement items it depends. if it's bases or hairstyle, then lock to wardrobe as usual but i think the other achievement items should still be buyable for those people who only want the item for their collection.

Not a fan.
Sometimes I&;m not around to participate in events which means there will be items I&;ll never be able to get ahold of if they&;re locked in the inventory and not available to be sold.
I feel like it leaves out players who don&;t always have the time to be here.

I feel the same. I've always liked that this site allows reward items to be sold so that just because someone wasn't around to participate in an event they might still have a chance to fill collections/wardrobes/galleries with items they like. Taking that away would severely limit creativity for pets galleries and other things. I hate the idea that just because someone missed a few weeks here or there because of their real life responsibilities they'll be denied some awesome reward item. I don't like to exclude people.

Also, just because someone doesn't 'work' to go through a plot or repetitively play a game to get these rewards doesn't mean that they didn't work to earn the sp or CSC they use to purchase said prizes after the fact. And they don't get the achievements. It might be nice if getting the achievements was made more desirable rather than concentrating on punishing people who weren't around for a particular event/RS or whatever.

On further thought, I love this idea for zombie skins and stuff and possibly CW items if artists are willing, but not as fond of it for CS wearables. I'm also not sure it would be great for the site, as there would be less emphasis on people buying CSC.

I'm not a fan of this idea either. If I really want an item/prize, it's 99% because I need it in a TC, not in the wardrobe. This suggestion could actually be very discouraging to the pet people or item collectors, and in turn, decrease the event participation rate. Is it possible now to keep an item in your account, but it can be moved within your account (I know this is still not possible for loyalty boxes)?

We don't think of it as punishing people, on our end. It's that we're giving out prizes and achievements for participating in an event, and people who aren't around didn't participate. It sucks but that's how events/games work. I like that you can come back two weeks later and get some of the items handed out, but it's also important to remember that we need page views / users / people online during events.

This has been asked before and I'm still 100% against it. Just because you earned an item doesn't mean you neccessarily want to keep it forever. What about people who want to buy items as gifts etc? If you have such a problem with people making sP off items then make it against the rules to artificially inflate items. It also means that these items would be closed off to newer members which isn't cool.

What if you had to pay a CSC fee to remove NEW wardrobe locked items (not rereleased)

I mean, it would suck. But at least, you could actually go and do as you wish with it. For a fee. Because I'm not sure I'd give lots of pageviews if I knew I couldn't put my pretties in my gallery. But, if I had to pay 2.50$ to get it out, but have the freedom to at least put it in a gallery, well, it would be a little better. Or, in a treasure chest.

Treasure chests are probably one of the site's best features, imo

I mean, keep them no sale/no trade. Just. Don't make them wardrobe bound.

Maybe, but I definitely wouldn't agree to it if that means that "private" CWs would be like that, because I already don't like the idea of private CWs let alone having to pay for them and then having them locked to an account. I know you haven't said anything officially like that, but I'm gonna assume you're alluding to it, and I personally just don't like privates let alone privates that are literally no sell/trade/lend. But in terms of group items that would be okay assuming you don't have to pay for them. The only reason I don't think that should be allowed with private CWs is because if I'm spending my real money on CSC to buy an item I'm expecting to be able to resell it back to the person who released the private should I ever not want the item anymore.

It sounds great for site-hosted competition prizes on things that way if someone wins something like for instance from peka-boo they actually keep it rather than resell it for profit.

Also I agree with everyone else here, even though I personally don't do TC things I do wardrobe things, but I would prefer an item locked to my account and have the option of where it goes (TC or wardrobe, or hoard/collection but not be allowed to be priced if put in a "shop/gallery").

Edit: Also, I'm okay with this being an option for achievement prizes as anyone can get it this way and then it makes it an actual achievement since you wouldn't be able to get it any other way (buying it from shop or whatnot). But this is probably the only thing I would be okay with being locked to an account.

Also: The event items was just an example. More toward what we're thinking is CW creators being able to offer items in their shops for sP - but it go directly into the wardrobe so it doesn't devalue the item. Or we can offer CS items on discount for sP but they go directly into the wardrobe, etc.

I'll edit the original post with this because I think I'm getting a lot of feedback on the new items thing which I didn't actually mean to be anything other than a quick example, and not how we're actually thinking of using a system like this.

No. While I have no problem trying to earn my event prizes, I do have a problem with the way some events have been handled where I did need to buy prizes. I wouldn't want to lose that option, and I really wouldn't want to have items stuck in my wardrobe that I could never get rid of.

I think it depends on how it is used.. some things I can't find until later once everyone is done getting them. I wouldn't like this for events and general quests.

For strictly CS items with flash sale though I would like very much usually unable to afford the pretty ones some artists do and never wishing to sell what I manage to get anyway. :)

RE: Needing to have people online for events, I totally get that, but... doesn't someone have to have been online to have gotten the item the late-comer is buying? If a few people getting a bunch of event items, thus decreasing overall users online during an event is a problem, maybe it'd be better do less event shop items and more stuff you just get one of, like the Jaxon Skelly plot prizes.

So you'd pretty much like it better if you had no opportunity to remove them at all?

Because I don't use my wardrobe. If it was removed from the site, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even notice.

Of course, I don't want items locked into accounts, but if it happens, and I feel it's going to happen eventually, I'd rather have an escape clause than have useless items that I will never use.
