I actually kind of like it. I like it better than the last revamp. I think it's cute, the only things I would change would be a bit rounder muzzle and the eyes and bit more round vs. slanted.

But it's hard for me to judge, since I am admittedly not much of a hikei fan to start with...

I love the revamp, the artist did a great job. The only thing that stood out as odd to me were the eyes. The slanted eyes seem to take away from the Subeta-estique.

Unrelated, but I've gotta bring it up because the person in the comments here isn't the first person I've heard say this. When something "falls through," it means that it fails, not that it succeeds. The same way when you say, "I could care less," you're implying that you DO care because there is still room for your to care less than you are, so the correct term should be, "I couldn't care less."

Yay for English lessons.

Anyways. Despite it's flaws, it's still leaps and bounds above the old one. ANYTHING is leaps and bounds above the old one.

I just voted in the poll and was horrified by the results! Despite numerous "It's great but -insert part here- looks funny and needs to be fixed" comments, most people have voted FOR this revamp.

As an owner of numerous Hikeis, this revamp still leaves way too much to be desired. The last revamp we voted on and this one are practically identical. The tail balls are bigger, the mane is bigger, the eyes don't look "zombie-fied", and the stripes are bigger, but the body and face, which received a lot of concerned comments haven't even been touched.

The art may be more modern than the Hikei right now, but the position is uninspired. The creature's chest is non-existent, which makes the front leg's connection to the body awkward and weak. The back leg's forward bend happens too far from the barrel giving the Hikei an "I'm getting ready to squat" look. Of course, if you're going for cat or dog back legs, the squat-look problem would easily be fixed by rounding the top line and back of the haunches, in other words, giving the poor thing more of a round butt - animals have butts, it's allowed. The muzzle is too sharp, it needs to be more rounded and the far-side cheek needs to be taken in so it doesn't look like it's "chewing gum".

I really hope the comments from those of us who own Hikeis make more of an impression than the poll numbers - I'm terrified that this is going to become the new look for my pets.

New fav pet, if this falls through. I voted YES for the revamp deffinatley. I loove the body, but the eyes and face just look a little odd. The eyes look too slanty and far apart i guess.

The Graveyard Hikei needs a revamp for sure though

I think the new pose is refreshing but it has no life to it in its eyes or face. Give it some personality please! the old one is so cute and I really like it not to mention it did have personality. I myself like both but the old one had more life to it. ^^

(It was revamped before? I must've missed the post due to testing. e.e) I have to say, I like how it looks. The shading and pose are nice and the lines are nice and clean. I never really noticed that the Hikei had paws and hooves. O_o (It's awesome IMO) I understand how people feel like revamps lose that 'old personality'. In my opinion, all of the revamps have a much improved style, which are awesome, but some do lose their personality. I don't know how you could add more personality though, that thought just nags the back of my mind....

I'm not a master at anatomy, so I'm not sure what to say... To me, nothing looks too out of proportion.

Anyway, I don't think that this needs anymore major changes, maybe a few small line changes here and there as requested by some of the other users before me here. It looks pretty good right now. :3 Nice job artist. ♥

While it's absolutely better than the last attempt, it suffers from what most revamped pets have - complete loss of personality. It's very pretty, but it has the most empty stare I've ever seen. That, and the eyes strike me as oddly shaped - I liked the big cute cartoony eyes of the old one. It lost all of the shy little look the old one had, and the tails seem a bit too thick. While this last bit may just be me being picky, it also seems a tad bit... bland. Maybe don't make the body stark white, just so there can be more shading in there? I don't know. But otherwise, it's alright. An improvement anatomy-wise, just that the eyes need to be opened more. As for me, I'm still voting old.

It looks loads better now~

Only thing I have a problem with is the ear (Maybe make it a little rounder tipped?) and the front legs. Just an itty bitty bit too stubby. :/

But good job otherwise!

it definitely looks A LOT better. i didnt like the way it looked back then, it looked a little weird to be honest! but with the ears it looks a little weird because of how it just covers the pink but ill get over it! haha! otherwise nothing that really bugs me its really cute!

I might actually consider adopting one of these now- the old pose I didn't look because it looked fat and mushed together. This one has slimmed down a lot and looks less... baby?

I must say the back legs don't look right. I feel that the top bone needs to be a little higher and then I think it would be perfect.

The face is awkward. The cheek farthest away needs to be smaller and the dark black line separating muzzle from face should be lighter and not so drastic. You should show there's a difference without heavy black lines. The ear is also awkward, and probably just needs a different shape, and the front legs are a bit too fat. But the Hieki's legs have always been a little too stumpy and fat for my tastes. I dunno, I don't really like the way the hind legs look either, but I recognize that it's probably just the design of the pet to look squat.

Other than that, I like it. Much much better than the old one, I must say, but still needs a little work!

While I like the new artwork (very well done), the Hikei seems to have lost a bit of its personality from the old pose. I like that the previous version of the Hikei seemed a bit shy and coy at the same time. The new version just doesn't have that to it.

Overall, it's very good, and I like it. But I think the neck is a bit too think, or it's positioned awkwardly.

I do like this revamp because it goes well with all the other revamped pets but I think there shouldn't be any stripes on the back legs like in the original. I just think it would make it look a little more balanced, you know?

The front half looks great! This looks much better than the other revamp, but the only thing that really bothers me are the back legs. The knee is set down way too low. Other than that, it's an improvement, but only not quite there yet... I may make a redline later to better illustrate what I mean.

I actually like this revamp. :3 I can tell you guys are working really hard to please everyone, so kudos. So the fading of the stripes is pretty neat, but I don't really like the way the head is turned. It's cute, but I think the Hikei looked better with its head off to the side and ears slightly down. Plus the hind legs look too much like a dog's...sorry, but the contrast between them and the hooves irks me. Other than that, great job!

This is a much nicer revamp!! I like it better than the old Hikei, as long as you DON'T TOUCH the Chibi! There are a few little things that bug me about it, though. I like the idea of slimming the cheek down, as has been illustrated. The muzzle seems a tad small. The mane tapers off at a weird angle, like it ends on the side of the neck. The pointy butt-fluff is a little distracting. But mostly those ears, I still don't like the weird angle they're set, almost like there's indecision about having them set like a horse's or a deer's. I'd like to see the ears more upright and forward.

I really love how this one turned out! I never really liked the Hikei because of the awkward pose/line art. It always looked like it was bout to fall over to me. I also love how the attitude of the old Hikei was kept in the new version with the facial expression an pose. I also love the fluffiness of the mane. I do agree with xxMadxHatterxx though.
