Personally, I like the lineart for the old one a lot better. I think it would be better if the old lines were just fine tuned and shaded in the newer style.

Personally, the old one looks more... horse-y. The muzzle on the new one seems a bit short.

I really love the new body and all of the detail, but for me the head ruins it. and by that i mean i think it just looks off, i would prefer if the head were to the side like in the original. all in all it is really lovely though.

I love it! The only problem I have is the small bit of hair that is sticking out at the back.

Some of the things on the new one I like such as the fur overflowing on the front hoove's and the way the tail looks. The main on looks pretty nice too. I would take those features and add them to the old version. the old version is a lot better, just spruce it up a bit.

i like this one the best out of all the ones we've seen, i'll agree that the tails do look a little like they were pasted on though.

I like the latest update. A lot of the problems from the last one are fixed in this version. The cheeks now look proportional. The front hooves, while still large like a draft horse, aren't monstrously huge. The roll under the neck gives more depth and makes it more like the neck is turned causing the skin and muscle to bunch up. Detail wise I like the eyes, mane and tails. Only think I don't like is the bit on the butt where the hair meets from going in different directions. Horses don't have hair going in opposite directions there, it just hangs downward. But that's a small thing. Nice work over all.

I prefer the old one. Although I love the detail on the new one, I see a few problems with it; the back legs, the angle they're in, look shorter in comparison with the front legs: the hair is too stiff to be realistic, I think, it doesn't really suit the rest of the body: I can't quite pinpoint it, but something looks strange in the facial features: the body doesn't seem very shapely, it's like the artist drew a rectangle with rounded edges and used that for that body: lastly, the tuft of fur on the hindquarters is rather annoying. I know the artist works hard, I truely understand that, but I believe this one of the few that could have been much better.

Ooh, I absolutely adore the head and mane on this one, so kudos on that! I think the pink on the nose goes up a little too high, and makes too much of the Hikei's face flesh-toned, which is slightly creepy. I like the addition of the pointed tuft of hair on the top of the hind legs, and the tails are lovely. My only real complaint is that the legs, especially the forelegs, look too big for its body. You can especially tell when looking at the foreleg furthest from the viewer - the shoulder muscle on that side should be the bulkiest part, but the leg appears just as wide, if not wider than that muscle. I hope that made sense. Maybe try moving the far foreleg farther to our right so that it doesn't appear so large? Overall though, I like this one a lot.

This is definitely my favorite of the hikei revamp polls we've had. I still have a few issues though.

I agree that the face looks a bit pointed, especially right on the nose - it feels like it should be rounded off a bit more.

Also, the position of the tails is weird. Instead of looking like they are an extension of the tailbone, they just kind of look pasted on. At least they don't look like they're coming out of the poor thing's butt! But they still look almost like an afterthought attached to the pet (although I'm sure it wasn't!) rather than an actual part of the Hikei's anatomy.

I like the new ones eyes, ears, chest and front hooves but I like the old ones tail, mane and pose better. I had to vote for the old one.

This version looks a lot more "manly," which is the complete opposite way I personally think a Heiki should be. The only one really shows that, and the new one seems a tad chunkier. >_<

I much prefer the new version. The shading and detail are excellent. Also, the older one feels like the "chibi" version compared to the new one, which might clash with the actual "chibi" version of the Hikei. The only thing I really prefer about the old one is the dainter, more delicate tail feathers and orbs. Overall, though, an excellent revamp. I really need to start saving up for that Mystical Montre plushie!

Tail's adorable, that's my favorite part of the hikei.

The near foreleg, though, seems a bit stunted or too short compared to the near hind, like they don't match up. That's my only issue.

Gorgeous! but to me the ears seem to pointed i think they would look better round and a little less pointy. I also think the frame of the hikie is a little to big. bit smaller and its perfect! but plz don't change to much of the face i think its adorable!

Mmm, I love the shading on the neck. Overall it's a pretty nice revamp.

The only things I'd like to see changed are making the eyes a little rounder like in the last revamp (maybe a happy medium of the two?) and thickening the lineart up in a few places, like long the back and the front legs/chest area.. it seems to get a little thin in some spots and it makes it look like there's color bleeding.

Definitely the best Hikei yet! I love the mane and face on this one. .o. And nice improvising with the highlights - since people bitched endlessly about the last one's body being gray rather than white, that's a good alternative. ^^

Good job on the revamp! It's less cartoony looking. The only thing I don't like as well is the tail. I wish it looked more like horsehair.

I'm torn. The new one is absolutely awesome. I like that it emphasizes the half horse half... cat? bit about it. But at the same time, I think it makes it too masculine. The old one is so cutesy and girly, and I like that.

The hind legs are bothering me, but I can't quite work out why. The paws don't seem in proportion somehow? Everything else looks wonderful, though.

I voted for the old. No matter what revamp comes out for the Hikei, I never like it. The head is better in this version, but the thing overall still needs a lot of tweaking I think; especially with the back half. And I still greatly dislike the pose. It's so boring. The back feet look quickly drawn, as does the tail, and I think the body needs more detail. The back legs also look kind off odd to me.

I voted for the new one, I do like it. There are some features I prefer from the old one too though, the tail and general cuteness on the old one are nicer in my opinion, but the mane and legs are nicer on the new one!

All in all though, I think the new one will win through - good job to the artists

The hooves look placed just a hair too high compared to the back legs, but that could just be me. That random tuft on the rear looks odd at first glance; more random fur tuft or getting rid of it altogether would look better, methinks.

Other than that, though, I like it. c: Good job, whoever the artist is!

I am very impressed with this one. It still seems to keep the same spirit of the old Hikei while updating not only the art quality but the pose as well. That can't have been easy to do, so cheers for the artist. Job very well done, in my opinion..

I like how the shading on the mane is done too. Also the eyes look better. I also like how the pose makes it easier to see that the Hikei has hooves and paws. I've voted for the new one

The only thing I really don't like on the new one is the tail; I liked the tail on the old one better... it needs the thinner tail.

hmm...i like the new one a lot better. quality of shading, anatomy, etc is awesome as always. i like that the artist really did combine horse and..uh..cat/furrybeing/whatever together. the little butt fur really shows that to me. the only complaint is that the snout has always seemed a little too short/small to me, but otherwise it's awesome
