I love the new one way better! She looks all content and charming, rather than have the old one all up in your face and larger, if you know what I mean. I would go and adopt this creature if this is the one you are going to use!!!! Terrific job!

well the art is WAY better but there are so many awkward things on it, like it's hind end, it's back is way to short, it's back legs look longer then it's front and the snout doesn't look horse/zebra like at all more like .... monkey @-@ but the art/shading is awesome. I've also noticed that his pet as been hell to revamp. isn't this like the 3rd or 4th revamp attempt ? keep it up. I'm sure eventually we'll get a kick ass revamp ... this isn't kick ass for me

I think the tail could be more elegant, or streamlined. Thinner, like how the old one is. Besides that it's spectacular, I absolutely love it!

I don't see anything wrong with either version, but I have to admit this one looks better in my eyes because of the shading and colors used, and it's also very detailed. I am no big fan of this species so I'll leave the voting to the ones that love Hikei, 'cause I don't plan on ever adopting one so it's not my place ^__^

I think it's pretty, but there are a few things that don't seem quite...correct. The right ear looks flat at the top, the mane flops to the side instead of sticking straight up like I think it is meant to do, the body is too short (he either has no ribs or no guts), and the curve of his rump looks too sharp. For a cute pony-like body the rump should be more round. The eyes are pretty and the muzzle is lovely. And I like the tail. Overall...I think it's okay but with a few touch-ups it'd be a very pretty pet. And of course kudos to the artist for all the time and effort they put into it.

Good job, I am all for the revamps. I have noticed with almost every revamp the pet has finer lines or more skilled lines.

Better body, but the head is at a strange angle and much too small. It would also be nice if it were doing something other than being curled up on itself... rearing up or something...

i like this revamp much better than any of the others, but i still think the original was cutest. there was something charming about his pose and slightly melancholy expression.

Woah, another revamp of the Hikei? I guess there were a lot of people unhappy with it. I'm not a big fan of the animal, myself, but I did like the last revamp better than the first and this one better than the last.

I like the revamp a lot, he looks very cute, but for some reason, he seems out of proportion, as if his body is just a bit too short. It gives a 'scrunched up' appearance to him from my view point.

', 'User Information');</script>, I think the face looks too small on this one. I usually love the revamps but I think I prefer the way the old one looks so cute, reminds me of a My Little Pony lol. I don't think this one looks as cute. The body looks better though.

I like this much better than any of the previous proposed revamps, although I still miss the elegance and composure of the old pose. I think all and all I'd prefer a more Paralix-style revamp (new art but stay close to the old pose) or at least to have the head facing forward.

The art is good, it's just that I miss the old pose.

I do think the muzzle might be a little small and I also find the tuft of hair on the rump annoying. (Makes it look pointy to me.)

I really like the markings on this one, but is there anyway the fading from dark to light could be made a bit more smooth? You can see where the shades change.

It's really cool the new Hikei! I'd suggest to change the shape of the ears. Make them more like in a drop-shape not too pointed.

I agree with BunnyWuffles, and voted old. While talent wise it's great, style wise it isn't doing it for me. The body is alright, but there's something about the head/face and mane that just doesn't seem right to me. I think maybe it's too small for the body?

Liken the new look.Lines are more crisp and defined.More mature art work less hurried and cuties then the old.Do agree with some of the comments about ear,cheek and tail.Over all I like the new revamp.Just needs tweaked a tad. Great job

There was just a certain personality to the pose and face of the old one that I think is lost in the new one. The art for the new one is beautiful, but I just can't quite warm to it.

I really like this revamp. The mane is shade beautifully, and for some reason, I really like how the tails were drawn. I think its absoultely adorable. C:

I like it, but a few things need a little tweeking (Nothing really important, just things that make me sort of iffy about it) First off, the way the right ear is cocked seems a little strange to me (facing too far up, maybe?). The left cheek also looks puffy, like xxMadxHatterxx pointed out. Lastly, and this is just something I would like, I think the tails should be a little bit bigger. They look fine at the base, but when they start to curl aroung the orbs they look too skinny. But other than that, I think this is a really great pet!

Agreed with whoever said that. I love the new style much better, and it would actually make me consider getting one. My only criticism is that the nose looks a bit narrow, even for a zebra-type creature. I think that's where a lot of the face criticism is coming from. What I think people liked in the old one (as far as I can see, too) is that it was "cute," and this revamp takes some of the My Little Pony-esque aspect out of the equation.

Personally, I like it. Much better overall job. Although, I must also agree with the thought that the body seems just a bit too short. Still, wonderful job.

I really rather like this, but two major things bother me: The neck is almost non-existent. Perhaps define it a bit more, or make it a tad bit longer? And those back feet. The seem to flat. Not shading wise, but form wise.

I'm going to have to agree that I do like the youngness of the old one - I think it's just that the eyes are bigger, and I do kind of like the old smaller tail orbs, but overall this new one is amazing! Truthfully I love it both ways.

It's excellent art. Great shading and great detail. I voted for the old one though because I like the younger look in the face and the smaller tail orbs. If the face were a bit younger and the orbs smaller I definitely would have voted for the new one.

While I appreciate the attempt made on the new Hikei, I think the old one is a lot cuter.

The old Hikei has a sort of cute that the new one doesn't have, and I think the reason some people liked the old one was because it was so cute.

I think its rather cute, its just something about the nose seems a little off. Its almost like the left half of the face is a side profile then the right seems added on as opposed to continue the face. x: Sorry i can't describe it better. XD

I prefer the other one, just because it looks more cutesy. The eyes on this one are a lot better though. =)
