Ah, I recall the last revamp--the artist made great improvement. =D I definitely like how it was updated this time around--the other revamp had been a bit chubby. xD I particularly like the tails and feet on this one. Kudos to the artist~

MUCH much better. The old Hikei is way too childish-looking for me, it made me think of a rubber toy and not a pet. I guess that's why someone said the head on this revamp is to small -they're used to the disproportionate head on the old one. For me, this body STILL looks a bit short, and the front legs are kind of... chubby for an equine, but it's a GREAT improvement from the old one. I also don't see anything wrong with the mane, it's supposed to be like that, reminds me of a mohawk And the fur on it's butt is cute, better than just a round butt, that would be strange. To someone who said "Horses don't have hair going in opposite directions there, it just hangs downward." -That's why the Hikei is part cat-like?

Bleh, I like the old one better. The face looks too wide and fat. If they slimmed the face down or had the head curled so that it was a side view, I might like it. I also liked the kind of 'cocky' expression on the old one's face.

Okay I realized how broad that sounded - let me try again. The highlighting looks really gradianted. Subeta does cell-shading, doesn't it? So the gradiant style highlights look really out of place. It might actually be my monitor since I just got a 349203492 better computer and graphics card. While it seems cell shaded, to me it really looks like a gradiant. It doesn't flow well at all. It's almost like the a gradiant tool was used for each blue shade and then not blended together. Which I guess works if you're cell shading, but not in such broad highlights. It makes it look strange. The shadows aren't flowing well either. Especially under the back hindleg that's facing us. There's a tiny patch of white just above the darker shadow. I'm sure it was meant to be a highlight but it seems out of place, especially considering the physical structure of the animal.

Everything else looks great though, and even still my critiques are minor and probably a matter of stylistic preference so feel free to ignore them. The coloring on the orbs and hair particularly is really good.

It's a fantastic job, though I probably prefer the stance on the old version, and I feel like there should be some tufts on the back legs too, but otherwise, it's just wonderful

Over the entire course of this Hikei revamp process, I definitely like this one the best. The head is my favorite part. The expression is great!

It looks great. THe only thing that kinda baffles me is the shading/highlighting along it. Something about it just...doesn't look quite right. But still, overall a huge improvement. Kudos to the artist!

oooh. This is the toughest one ever for me. I like the orbs on the new one, but the feet on the old one. I like the old one's pose and the new one's mane. hmmmmmmm

Adorable- I just think the regular version is too cutesy, borders too close to the chibi version. Perhaps a longer/ more mature face & more muscle definition in the body would be a consideration.

I voted for the new one because overall it's a vast improvement. The only thing I'd like to see tweaked on the revamped version is the hind legs. because of how short the leg is from toe to heel, they look very much like bulky bear's legs rather than the feline legs I always imagined Hikeis having. The hindquarters just look a little ungraceful to me.

I love the tail on it. I wish the mane on the head was longer with a flow that complemented the curves of the tail.Still a great job.

I like it a lot. It seems so have a lot more personality then the old one. I love the short face, it's kinda like a mix between equine and whatever the pawed hind part is. XD My only thing about it is how the stripes seem more like they are faded by the light source rather then light by light. If that makes sense.

Sorry, but I voted for the old one. Maybe the art is a little outdated, but something about this one is a bit off. I really liked big 'cat like' paws and the head on the older one, while trunk and back legs of this Hikei looks like borrowed from the polar bear...and mane looks stiff. Sure, art is pretty, but...

I totally agree with Kyphoscoliosis about the head. The rest is great, though.

MidnightShadow, the tuft below the butt, I think, is supposed to show the shape of the leg. I think it'd look weird without it, but that's just me. I think it's a nice touch. ^^ (Just trying to maybe help shed some light on why the tuft might be there. lol)

This is definitely my favorite of all the revamps! I havent commented on any of the previous ones, because they were not really my cup of tea, but I really like this one, and will definitely be voting 'new' this time

This is a wonderful art job!! The definition, the shading...dark and light, the expression in the eyes. Only because I love Clydesdales, I would have liked more and longer tufts on the front legs...but that's just my personal preference. I give it a 10!!

I like it except for maybe the mane. It looks a little "moehawk-ish" to me. It could be a bit thicker/wider, but I'm hard to please. ^^ Overall, I think it's a nice re-draw.

Oh wow I love it! The only two things I don't like is the little tuft of leg fur; I think it could be a tad more defined. And I wish the balls on the tail were a little more cyan than that dusty blue. Ah well, that is being just being a nitpick. This revamp is absolutely wonderful and I don't think I've ever been so impressed!

I like this one a lot more! Great improvements. The only thing that bothers me a little bit would be the back stripes. They are very light and might be better a bit darker. Otherwise nice work!

Like Danni, I don't like the little tuff of hair on the leg. It seems out of place when the rest of the pet's fur looks relatively smooth. The stripes along the back also seem to fade a little too much at the top, to the point where they blend in with the base fur (although maybe this was the intention?). I think this is a vast improvement over the current pet, though.

It is a pretty good job, but the head seems wrong, perhaps it's too small. The back paws are also a bit off, the back left paw especially seems misproportioned to me, also maybe a bit too small. Still, a very nice job.

Oh my God x3 it's so cute. Much better then the old one . . . it actually makes me wanna adopt a hikei. It looks less like a horse now but somehow looks more real then the last one.

Overall, I like the new one better. I love the new pose and the shading is perfect. The things that stick out to me the most are the fact that the little balls in it's tail are really huge...I liked the look of the smaller balls better, with the curlier tail. I agree the mane looks stiff but, I think that's how a donkey's mane looks. The head is really...off, maybe too small? As well as the muzzle. The final thing is that little tuft of hair on it's butt...It's very odd looking. Like I said, overall I love the new revamp and the artist did an amazing job.
