I'm not always super active on Goodreads, but I always always read, so at least we can talk about books! Only about 20% of the books I read are things my friends are interested in.

According to Goodreads, we have 62% of book tastes in common :p I like to read a little bit of everything, but I don't read much romance. I love dystopia (adult and YA), I like literary books when I'm in the right mood for them, I really enjoy crime and thrillers, and I love fantasy. I also love when genres cross over, so that you get some romance in my fantasy books, or some crime in my dystopia, or romance and history in my fantasy. My favourite when a book makes me think and feel but is also super entertaining.

I wanted to start 2018's challenge with a clean slate, so even though I finished a book on 29th December, I didn't pick up a new one in case I didn't finish it in two days! Not sure what I'll read first though. Maybe I should put all my books on my Goodreads 'to read' and we can see if we have any in common.

- Sounds like we are very similar on tastes then. I love when books are genre-bending. I'll admit that I really love a book when it's got a healthy romance in it. Patrick Rothfuss's Name of the Wind series has been one of my all-time favorites for it's ability to describe music and magic.

There are a few I saw already that you read and are on my "to read" pile. I added a couple more from your list because they sounded really good.

i havent gotten a single item yet from the free shop every time i'm going there it's empty XD but I also keep forgetting about it so...... lol i will try and stay on it today and visit very often! what have you managed to snag from there?

Oh man! It's great! I've found they restock every 5-20 minutes. I got a 100 CSC card which was helpful to get closer to my shop til saver goal! Also I got two Box of Magical Misfits which when used gives out a super old plushie! Very exciting!

I just went through and added about 300 more onto my 'to read' and discovered that lots of them were in series without realising it ><

Oh yeah, you gotta keep after it! I've gotten a lot of random stuff not worth much too. Ohhhh I got a midnight cocoa gift on the first draw and I was so excited!! I've wanted one for so long. I actually kind of want to put it on right now.

Hahaha, I think there was a lot of really good stuff right at the beginning, ad now it's more sparse with less good stuff mixed in.

ah yes currently reading a newly released sequel (back just in September, I just had to play catch up by reading the first book called Moon Chosen) it's called Sun Warrior. written by P.C. Cast. I read most of a previous series called House of Night (about vampyres best concept i've ever read of them!!! even over Twilight[yes I read that series too lol]) that she had written with her daughter Kirstin Cast. P.C. Cast has other series. one series I've seen is about goddesses. Apparently she loves writing about fantasies lol fine with me i love reading them!
