I'm old enough to buy my own, but broke enough that I can't, haha. I need to get on disability, but it takes an age and a half to get that sorted out.
There is a series of books that have me hooked: The Elenium & The Tamuli written by David Eddings. Luckily I have a tendency to forget much of what I've read so re-reading is a joy.
I'll read anything...I just really like books

The Harry Potter series!!!

Just popping in to recommend Ursula K. LeGuin's The Left Hand of Darkness. One of the first (possibly the first?) feminist sci-fi novels that way more people need to read than actually have. If anyone's read it, let's discuss!
Haha yeah, I know that feel! I was lucky enough to have some savings put away by my nan before she died, and now I'm working retail (so not the best, but hey it's work and I can do it)
I'm about to read the Outlander series because I love that show
well I tend to focus on the new achievements when they are released or focus on holiday ones as the holiday is around. like for luminaire i pretty much just need the snowball one but i'm sooooooooooooooo far behind rofl it's just so much effort to go and buy one snowball every 30secs at a time lol XD
other than that one achievement i still have in mind is owning one of each potion kind of pet :) long endevour but it's still in my mind that I need to work towards that lol
That's smart! I just checked and apparently I have thrown 26 snowballs ever soooo not in good shape hahahaha! There are also so many achievements that there are so many I don't even know about! I collected all of the mage amulets and then turned them in without realizing that putting them in my wardrobe would give me an achievement! I didn't know about owning all of the potions for each pet!!
Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier
Every year I reread Oceano Mare and Novecento un monologo by Alessandro Baricco and Diario di un killer sentimentale by Sepùlveda (I don't know how they're named in english, sorry). Now I'm reading a marvellous fantasy named The spy and the Healer by Cristina Azzali and I'm loving it.
A Wrinkle In Time!!
Aw, I'm sorry, that's hard. my poor nana is running out of savings, she'll have to live with one of us soon because she won't be able to afford her apartment. I won't mind though, she's very sweet.
It's very sad that she's gone, but she lived a really long life and she was the strongest person I've ever known. She died 5 years ago, so it's not painful anymore, I'm just glad to have known her and to have some of her strength. It's good your nana has you to love and look after her too.
I've been reading mostly Mysteries, Fantasy and Science Fiction this year, with a couple Romance titles thrown in for fun if they have a Fantasy or Mystery twist. My list is so long XD haha. Over 80 books this year. I do record them on Goodreads, so I'll post the URL below if you'd like to check it out.
I think this is the right URL for other people to see the list.. https://www.goodreads.com/user_challenges/9073028
**outside link!
We've barely read any of the same books haha. But we seem to like some of the same things :)
Here are my books for the year (I just did a mad dash add them to good reads and also clear out loads of my goodreads junk!).
Perhaps I could add you on there? Feel free to say no if that's weird for you xD
oh yes so many! and some can be hard to find without a way to search the title of the achievement!
there is an achievement for each pet you own. like you get a spectrum pet, there is one for owning a spectrum pet. same for all different types of pets it's neat to keep in mind.
I always put wearables in my wardrobe like i always feed one pet every food item i get. you never know when there may already be an achievement or Subeta might create an new achievement for it lol
I do wish the achievement search page was a little differently laid out. It's pretty overwhelming! I have quite a few of the pet color ones from using the zapper for so long, but I'm sure I don't have all of them!
I don't like to put all my wearables in my wardrobe because it gets too cluttered in there when I'm actually trying to make a new HA. I'm not too big on the drawers system either. I've probably missed out on lots of achievements because of that!
Have you gotten anything super cool from the free shop?
- I would love to add you! None of my "Real Life" friends are very active on good reads so I hardly ever have any interactions on there. It would be really refreshing to see some new books that I should check out too! :) What kind of books do you mostly read?
