'Tis the season to read Hogfather. (Or any other Discworld book you can get your hands on :) Guards! Guards! is probably my favorite, and a great entry point into the series.)
I volunteer at an elementary school library, and I let one of the students my copy of The Giver to read, and she loved it. I also let her borrow my copy of the A Wrinkle in Time trilogy, which she also loved. She's really excited for the movie now.
I'm trying to get into comics a bit (they're so expensive and the library doesn't have many though). Anyway, I read Motherless Oven earlier this year and sequel as well (I found it at the library). It reminds me of the point, but with a rather serious plot and plot reveals. I guess I recommend it.
Haven't read anything in a good while, but I do have a few books I revisit every now and then
The Marbury Lens- Andrew Smith Passenger- Andrew Smith The Chaos Walking trilogy- Patrick Ness A Monster Calls- Patrick Ness The Book Thief- Markus Zusak
- That's great!
[Kiss=Leila], available for a limited time this holiday season.
I really love the Percy Jackson series. Every time I talk about it, I just wanna go back and reread them all.

My favorite books will forever be Harry Potter.
When I was a child I was... Not nice to my mother. We did not get along. I was hard to live with... My cousin told her about Harry Potter and my mother purchased the first book. Her friend told her, her and her daughter had begun reading together. It made it more fun.
So my mother decided to try it out. One day I was pitching a fit and she sat me down and began reading to me. Instantly I was drawn in...
And from there, I stopped getting angry with my mother. I started looking forward to spending time with her... We read every single one of those books together. Watched all the movies.. Bonded over fictional characters and a fictional world...
I wish we could have read them again after she got sick. What I wouldnt give to be cuddled up on my bed again, hanging on every word, and spending hours upon hours every night with her... :) My best memories with my mom are in the pages of those books. And one day I'll share them with my children. ;w;
The only series I have ever read the entire series of is the Twilight series... please do not attack me lol. I particularly love educational books because I love learning, especially about animals. I like books that have a lot of pictures as well as text. :)
The Never Ending Story and my Beatrix Potter anthology for sure. Such great inspirations again and again for my paintings.
I'm reading some David Safier right now, is fun and light to read, perfect to empty your head (looks there's no English translation of his titles ?)
I often read the book "Blood and Chocolate" by Annette Curtis Klause it is one of my favorite books, I also really enjoyed the Maze Runner trilogy and Fever Code by James Dashner. I don't really like to read unless it catches my attention. I haven't had a lot of time to finish American Assassin the book that the new movie is based on yet either, but it has been very good so far.

I'm about to start reading In the Night Garden by CM Valente
Books I always go back to (besides Harry Potter, of course) would be The Trolls by Polly Horvath. It's a children's chapter book but it's always been a favorite. Also anything related to Alice in Wonderland.
I just finished The Sinner by Petra Hammesfahr. Very good read.
I have a read a book Never Promised You a Rose Garden by Joanne Greenberg, It deals with a young girl that suffers from mental illness. I have also read Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. About a world in the future where people are "born" to their class and are satisfied to be with that and not question to be anything more.
I also LOVE Stephen King novels. It would also be kinda silly not to point out HP Lovecraft stories as well.
I'm gathering a stack of books for next year. I'm planning on every book I finish, to put £1.00 towards my mortgage repayment fund. so been gathering them ready for the new year. I'm currently reading Richard Laymon's Quake although it is ...yeah...not a big fan of certain characters. But I've got my favourite, Stephen King in my pile together with some Joe Hill. I love horror books! Movies, not so much...XD
Carrie
I'm in a reading slump right now but the book I want to get back into reading is: The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu.
Tamora Pierce’s books were a huge part of my childhood, and I still try and go back through them all again once a year or so.

Right now I'm reading a book called... uh... Silverleaf, I think? Or maybe it's called The Wanderer? I really have no idea. I just started it so I haven't formed an opinion on it, but the prequel novella was only mediocre, so I'm not really excited about this one. I got the prequel story free and the second book for 99 cents... the mailing list I joined for cheap and free ebooks has really ruined me haha. My to-read pile has grown exponentially and I never have time to read.
Books I reread over and over... Magic's Pawn by Mercedes Lackey (that book changed my life), The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub, Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams... I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them.
