Do you have a favorite book that you go back and reread often? Are you reading a new book right now for fun or school? Tell me all about your book adventures!

I have read the Harry Potter books more than once. I love when the book sucks you in and makes you laugh and makes you cry and just keeps you turning the pages.

I love Rupi Kaur's poetry books!

I also am just finishing up reading The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and it's really interesting. It's one of those books you always hear about but never actually read, so I decided to read it!

I started Memories, Dreams, and Reflections by Carl Jung, but I keep putting it down. It's tough to read a novel when the author does not seem... likable? haha

I'm going to start Slaughterhouse Five (Vonnegut) next. It's sitting on my bedstand. c:

[edit] Completely skipped the actual question! I'm not big on rereading - I've recently picked up the habit of taking notes of what I'm reading and what sticks out, so I can go back and relive it, without entirely committing. I'm also quite fascinated by imagery , and sometimes find myself missing entire plot pieces, while enjoying descriptions. Perhaps that's why I don't find as much interest in rereading! The descriptions are often times still fresh to me looking back at novels.

The Dresden Files will always be one of my favorite series of books, they're a nice mix of magic and modern stuff. The Redwall series is also one I really love, even though it's more for younger people, it's what I grew up reading though so it has a special place in my heart.

The Giver by Lois Lowry. Read it once, never can get it out of my mind again.

One of my favourite books (aside from all the Harry Potter books) is called Burning Eddy. It's by Scot Gardner, who is an Australian author. I read it at least twice a year...it's short, so it's easy to get through, but I always feel so uplifted when I've finished it.

I highly recommend the Thursday Next series from Jasper Fforde. I would say it's a series for people who love books.

I absolutely adore Simon R Green's "Nightside" series, and I'm on my 5th time through the whole 12 book series. I also recently started reading his other major series, the "Secret Histories" books, and I'm enjoying those as well!

I often re-read Time Enough for Love by Robert A. Heinlein. It is the first sci-fi book I ever read, and it hooked me on the genre.

- I read that waaay back in elementary school, but I haven't picked it back up. Those sorts of endings drive me mad, lol. What about it stuck out to you?

- THe overall worldview and the plot twist near the end made that book particularly memorable.

There's one really cheesy, tropey romance novel I always go back and re-read when I'm feeling down. It's Just One of the Guys by Lori Foster. It's pretty much like a Harlequin romance lol.

I like re-reading the Harry Potter books, or the Percy Jackson books. I also adore re-reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood books by J. R. Ward.

I didn't read much other than comics as a kid--but recently, since I've been diagnosed with ADHD and put on meds, I seem to find it a lot more enjoyable and less stressful lmao. I don't have much time to read the fun stuff that i'd want to though, because of the amount of reading I have to do for class. It's mostly just been a lot of Sartre.
