I've read Wrinkle so many times now, I could probably start from A Wind in the Door..lol
But Wrinkle leaves SO many unanswered questions for me...like:
When we see Mrs Whatsit change (into the centaur like beast), Mrs Who says "should I change too, oh but I've had fun in these clothes, should I transform now too?" and Mrs Which says, "Not yet. Not here, you may wait." And yet...we never see her change. So...what can she transform into?
Just who is the Man with the Red eyes. Was he chosen by IT, to have that position? How did he know they children were coming? He also seems shocked that Calvin was there as well...
What was Camazotz like before IT...was there a time before IT?
And WHERE did the Mrs W's go? It ends with Mrs Whatsit saying they didn't have time to talk because- and she breaks off because they were gone. That ending bothered me SO much as a child. I was always like "But...but...but...WHERE DID THEY GO?!?!"
Ohhh is definitely a very interesting question indeed....do you think Mrs Which and Mrs Who are both centaur like beasts too?
with I always thought the man with the red eyes WAS IT....and since IT had taken over all these worlds/galaxies/reprogrammed maybe he knew they were coming from somewhere they stopped? I don't recall them getting there right away...
I think Camazotz was probably maybe like Earth before IT.....like that little boy who always drops the ball? He was "normal"
That is indeed a good point.....though they seem to be guides more than anything....like maybe they went to other planets/places to guide others to find the right path like they did with Meg and Charles? Though I'm surprised she doesn't bring the W's back say in any of the other 4 books?!

I know! I was really hoping to hear about them again...but we get nothing.
I don't know...remember Mrs Whatsit was also a Star...so was she a Star first, then was she given the body of the centaur beast? Or what? Why was Mrs Who told to wait, and then we never get to see anything?
The Man with the Red eyes is meant to be a pawn of it...as he says "I am the Prime Coordinator, that is all you need to know" IT is just the brain...an all powerful brain, that I suppose uses others to communicate...though, as we see in the book, it can talk telepathically...
Which then brings up the question, where did IT come from, and what happened to all the people once IT was defeated by Meg? Did they all die...were they set free?
Also...how the beasts know what things 'are' like?
I have started going to the library to check out books. It is a much cheaper this way. I can read a book in a day or two, & will pick up certain authors in hardback. gets to be so expensive. Especially as I don't really reread. I've really enjoyed Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. They make me laugh out loud
The only book series that I have are mainly Warrior Cats. The one thing I regret is not reading the Harry Potter books! :(
Just starting to read Ready Player one! :)

When I'm feeling sad, I find myself reading old favourites from my childhood.
Wind In The Willows is a particular favourite. I don't have much time for reading these days though :(
Wow, same like said. I love to go back to childhood memories and read them. I think I should start with Mio, My Son over the holidays again.
Redwall is a book I will often go back to after a certain amount of time!
I love books. I haven't been reading them much lately, but I still love them. I have hundreds. I have read Anne Bishop's "Black Jewels" trilogy multiple times, and she also has another series "The Others" that I love. I've read Harry Potter a few times, as well as Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit.

I'm currently reading The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairlyand in a Boat of Her Own Making. I don't know what to think so far since I'm only one chapter in.
For me, picking one favorite book is like eating one potato chip. It's possible in theory but I can't do it. =D
The books I go back to over and over again are Tamora Pierce's Immortals Quartet and Sherwood Smith's Crown Duel. Both are novels with medieval settings and strong female characters. Even though I've got the story lines practically memorized by now, I still go back at least once a year and re-read these books. The two protagonists in Crown Duel establish their relationship through a series of letters - not love letters, but thought-provoking letters in which they really get to know each other. This reminds me so much of how my husband and I met because we originally lived 300 miles apart and we used to send emails in the early days that were like small novels, lol.
I love a novel with complexity. I'm a big fan of LOTR and also Stephen King's novel The Stand. I enjoyed the Game of Thrones novels for this reason though I doubt I'll ever be able to watch the TV show. (To be fair, most shows/movies can't do justice to the books from which they take their inspiration, in my opinion.)
I'm also a fan of classic literature. Dracula will always top my list of favorites. I loved how the novel was written in a different format, using journals and letters to reveal one of the greatest and most lasting villains of all time.

I really want to start reading teh SAO books again, can't wait to start in January with them again
My book adventures have ended suddenly. ^_^
Ghost boy by Martin pistorious is an incredibly moving story of a man who grew ill with meningitis and lost all function of his body, but was still aware of what was going on around him. He talks about his experiences and what life was like with everyone overlooking him and thinking he was too far gone.
Highly recommend this book!
