Ugh. Some of my comment got chopped off! X_X I also wanted to say that I like the feet on this version, and the wings (though I agree with the people who say they are too small). That tail scares me a little though... xD

I like it, but I just had to vote old this time. I would like to see the Mallarchy given an update, but something closer to the old one. I love the cheeky look of the Mallachy we have now, and its pose is adorable.

I think this is a very nice revamp, and the artist must've worked her/his little butt off to pull it off, because it's gorgeous. But, as they say, there's always room for improvement. I think that the main things, as have been mentioned, are the wings and the tail. For some reason, they make it look less "duck-like." The wings would be nice larger, and the tail needs retouching - more "feathery," perhaps, rather than (and I mean no negativity by this) "fish-like?" The pet as a whole also looks a bit too "bipedal" - ducks, and birds in general, have chests/undersides/tails that do not slope in that manner. The touch of realism is nice, but it would help to make either the realism/non-realism a little more obvious, so it doesn't seem as awkward.

Finally, I personally don't like what's been done with the "hair." xD; Bit too up and pointy for my tastes.

But other than that, this guy's a charmer~! I love his neck fluff.

The beige pattern over the new version's eyes make it look evil. O_O The wings are also waaay too small.

I don't think the Mallarchy even needs revamping. :/

It's cute, but the jaw needs to be shaped like it's smiling, the wings would look nice larger, and hey, forget the solely "duck" look; I think the tail ought to be made longer and thinner, with feathers on the end, sort of like a fantasy bird, or phoenix. Overall, I see much improvement in area of shading and coloration, but the tail, in my opinion, should be made shorter and stouter like the older version, or longer and thinner. It depends on what people who actually own mallarchies (sp?) want.

I agree with several others here in the sense that there are other pets in serious need of revamping. However, I appreciate the work done on the Mallarchy - it's well-detailed, and is a little less reminiscent of some Disney show. There are too many other pet sites that have these ridiculously shiny, happy, undetailed characters. I like the fact that there's a slight amount of realism put into the revamps. In fact, I'd actually like to see some pets look as if it's begun to rain on their parade. It adds character.

The head isn't really far enough forward,and it looks rather unhappy. The eyes are off. The old one clearly looked happy, and as others do I don't care for the new "realistic" style we're having. It really loses the character of the art that made the pets interesting.

Hate it for some reason. It's just not cute anymore. It's not happy or showing any emotion.....It's just kinda there. And what the heck is wrong with it's TAIL????!!!

Ehhhh...as I own a few Mallarchies at the moment I'm not very much in favor of this new revamp. I preferred the old 'ducky' look to it but now the style looks far to semi-realism for me to like it. The wings are a nice improvement, but I'd rather have the older look for its joyful expression. I'm a big fan of ducks, and I can see the odd anatomy error here and there. If anything the wings should be full of feathers and they should not all have that 'spikey' appearance especially at the elbow. It makes the mallarchy look threatening xD Beware of the spikewings! Though I do welcome a revamp to the BR Mallarchy... But in my opinion there should be a revamp for the other, older pets! Like the Torrey, the Clawsion and the Mortiking. D| Especially the Mortiking.

i kind of feel like people who actually own that pet should have more of a say... like my sister has a mallarchy, so it would actually affect her unlike all the voters who are just like,"oo, it's new, click!"

Like when the kerubi was revamped, I had a dark matter one... It went through and I had to start over on the pet because I didn't like it anymore.

And on a note of the revamps, I do feel like the cuteness in the eyes is going most commonly. I liked the big happy eyes!

I will give you that the wings are cool on this.

Waaah! IT USED TO BE SO JOYFUL! Now it just looks depressed. I love the wings though. Still... it doesn't remind me of a duck much anymore. The feet/tail/basic anatomy are totally off (but that may be because I'm a bird watcher). Nothing really fits togehter, which is fine whne you have a cute little dumpling like the original Mallard... but really strange when you've got something that is obviously trying to look professional.
Then again. I don't have a Mallard, so I guess I shouldn't care so much. It /is/ nice. I hope I'm not being too harsh a critic.

Listen, I like the new duck, but really. Why doesn't someone revamp a pet that REALLY needs revamping. Like the ruffie or malticorn or hikei or turdle.... OR THE CLAWSION! Really, get to the pet's that REALLY need it.

The tail looks kinda funny. :$ The beak needs more chram to it (If this is making any sence to anyone but me) and a duck tail. It looks like some duck/fish crossbread with the tail.

I LOVE the new design. I especially love the feather patterns on the wings and tail. However, I don't like the pose and I think the wings are slightly too small in porportion to the body. I think a redrawing off the pose is all it needs to be perfect. I still love the overall design though. It's definately an improvement on the old one.

I like the pose for this revamp and the coloring is wonderful but I find the wings and the cheek area around the Mallarchy's bill to be too small for the rest of the body. I do like the addition of the tail to be seen.

-sigh- As a rabid duck lover, I want to like this. However... the face/head and wings really bother me. Compared to the other pets this seems... rushed. The pet still needs a revamp; just a different one. Sorry whichever artist drew this, but that's my opinion.

I really like this revamp. I think the head looks less Mallarchy than the old one. I think that maybe if the eyes looked forwards, it wouldn't look cross eyed and well, lacking the intelligence that the old one had.

I can see that people who like the old one wont like this new version as it does look very different compared to the old version. Maybe its like the dragon wing/nonwing version difference to them.

...I like the old Mallarchy more.. It just seemed more... Cute Ducky, Y'know? This one seems more... Lizard than duck... it looks really off balance and it just doesnt look..right. Mabey you should revamp it one more time ( Like what you did with the Ontra ) and make a 3rd part in the vote? I think that would be nice. =)

Actually, I thought the Malarchy was one of the last pets which needed a revamp.

Sure, the new art is lovely and it's great that the Mallarchy has some more details now, but I'm really disliking the new pose. It looks like it is going to fall backwards to the ground or something.

And I may not be an expert of animal/Subeta pets anatomy, but... isn't the back a bit too... fat? Eh, just my opinion.

The positives is that I love the new detail and being able to see the tail. The coloring is awesome as well.

However, the pose leaves something to be desired, it seems very awkward. I think part of it is the angling of the wings with the second one behind the head (making the Mallarchy look like it has an uber weird mohawk), and the way the chest slopes is a bit much (and could probably be overlooked with the back wing repositioned. Other from that, the expression of the Mallarchy, like others have said. I actually like the tail.

It looks less duck like to me now. They always screamed cute little duck. This revamp seems very off. The head looks more like a woodpecker shape with the duck beak. The way that the body moves into the tail seems very fish like and that tail feather is huge. The back also seems to be very fat behind the wings.

If this goes through as is, I am going to have to pull my complete mallarchy collection out of the anatidae catagory of my gallery and move them to aves.

I absolutely love how you've changed the start. Fantastic. Overall I think I like the new one more. I'm not entirely sure about the loss of cuteness, but the vamp is absolutely fantastic.

It looks like someone braided his hair too tight and because of it he has slanty eyes that dont line up right IMO.

I like the new art, but it seems to lose a lot of the spirit of the old pet. The art is really quite nice, but it lacks the personality of the old one.

I don't really like this new "realism" look, I liked when the pets were cute and anime-ish and actually looked like Subeta pets instead of looking like just plain old real animals.
