I've seen a lot of feedback being given on vending over the past few days, and want to give it a single place to come together. I have some basic questions, and then want you to fill in what you'd like to / think should happen with vending.
And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead?

I vend a fair amount mostly at Oceans Depths. I do like how some new lines are being released only at certain machines. If vending is removed I would love to see Blackheart Hollow restocked more.
I vend very rarely - maybe once every 1-2 weeks just to top up items in my shop. Mostly vend at celebration gift/prize get and blue sky I don't think vending should be removed completely but I do think it should be restricted further - Maybe 100 items none GA 200 for a gold account? I'd like to see more high valued token shop items (rather than 100-250 tokens, maybe 1k+?) Also more BHH. and more frequently
To answer the questions: 1. I do vend. 2. I vend usually at least once a week. I tend to do it when I have time off of work. 3. I vend at Celebration Gift, Prize Get, and Blue Sky the most often. The weekend quest has a huge influence on where I vend. For whether vending should be removed or restricted, I do feel it should be restricted more, but definitely not removed entirely. I see vending as being a check against item inflation due to quests and I do find that the items quests are most likely to ask for tend to keep a healthy value. I think that could help with which items should be kept in vending.

I vend! I do when there's something interesting going on, if I need to fill my shop/get frag feed, etc. So I might do it every day for a month and then not do it for another 2 months. (I'd probably vend more if I could see how many vends I have left. It's frustrating not knowing how long I have til I hit my limit. It feels endless.) I use Ocean Depths almost exclusively, but Dragon Hoard at times too.
I don't want vending to leave ;_; it's great for fragging
I vend up to the limit sometimes, but not every day. I usually go after the machines that have collectible items; stickers, plushies, beanbags, books, etc. Also, if there is a shop with new items I want I'll vend whatever machine pulls from that shop.
Personally, I don't vend as much as I probably should but I would hate to see the option go away.. I'm still holding out hope of getting the 50k Vend Achievement. I just got the 25k one the other day though, so it'll still be a while.
^^
What if we made it so that items were worth more crystals for fragging, so just fragging random quest rewards turned out to be valuable for that?
Or maybe give out the crystals in another way? Or the items that end up in the crystal shop? We're actually internally testing a new sP sink for old retired items, as well.

I vend everyday and mainly from OD. It's just too flooded with useless clothing. I think the restriction now is fine for the vending cap. I'd use the tokens at BHH.
Might want to follow this. (:

I vend too, and on and off at pretty much all the machines. I use the cheap items to frag when I am in a hurry for crystals. :)
Yes, I vend! I try to vend every day but I probably end up vending 3-4 times a week. I usually use Ocean Depths but I vend a little from every machine.

Thank you!
Use the token shop for more than 1-2 items every month. You can have items that are meant to sit there for days, instead of selling out in 30 seconds. Either cheaper items with thousands in stock, or more expensive items that require saving (like the Aemis) so people have a solid goal.
You could do the same with BHH, with it restocking more than one copy of an item. Have some cheaper items pop up periodically with like 15 in stock or something.
I'd try doing these before making any changes to vending. You shouldn't change too many variables at once, and there's a good chance that these changes would eat up the reserve tokens and vending would naturally diminish over time.
Also: Do you keep track of vending behind the scenes? Those numbers would tell you more than polling players on the forum like this.

I tend to vend quite frequently, generally everyday if I am actively playing. I usually vend 350 tokens or less, as this is the normal ammount for completing all of the wizard quests. This way, I can build up some extra for when fun things come into the token shop. I usually keep my store pretty stocked with this, as I'm not a huge restocker. I usually rotate between all of the machines, getting an almost even number from each of them, so my shop gets a good variety of items.
I DO NOT think that vending should be removed nor should it be further restricted. Vending is how a lot of people choose to keep their stores stocked, keep up with collections, etc. Not everyone likes to restock, or has the time or patience to do so. So, taking away vending would 'cause a lot of people to loose one of the main things they do most likely, which just isn't fair. I also don't think vending should be further restricted. Being able to vend 250 items a day (500 for gold account) is a good amount. It is more than you can get if you did wizard quests everyday (weekend quests not included) so most people generally wouldn't vend the entire amount each day. However, it allows people to splurge more after they haven't done so in a while.
Taking away vending would be like taking away restocking to a lot of people, so just not good. EDIT: It would be nice to see other things the tokens could be used for as well. As some have said, token shop restocks that don't sell out within minutes. Bigger item goals in there would be nice.
I am so pleasantly surprised this board even exists. My grumpy, pessimistic self didn't think a thread about this would even exist, so major kudos to you.
I would like vending removed or extremely restricted. Extremely. I get people like it, but just because someone likes something doesn't mean it's a good thing for subeta. Sometimes you just have to put your feelings aside and look at it using an unbiased approach.
More token shop restocks. You can have temporarily stocking items (like seasonal quest shop items) for a large amount of tokens.
Would also be interesting to be able to buy temporary buffs. Seems like something magical the wizard would be able to do for users. And if they are useful enough, this would allow consistent use of tokens for non-item purposes!
I'm not quite sure if I understand this right; you're suggesting quest rewards being worth more crystals than stuff we could get from a vending machine?
I mean, it seems a bit odd to have crystals come from anywhere else? I'd love to see crystal shop items in other places, just because I never have enough, but I feel a lot of people would really dislike that.
Oh god yes more sinks THANK YOUUUU
And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? I do think vending could stand to be further restricted. I spend my tokens otherwise in the TS so more restocks/bringing back older items in there more often/whatever would be great.
I think vending should exist, because it's the easy way of rsing for some users that have disability, slow connection or slow computers, or simply hates rsing and find it too boring/difficult. I think it simply needs to be with SP, as a SP sink, and unlimited, I don't see the reason why to keep it limited anymore.
I would like to see wizard tokens being used as a currency for more shops that rsing regularly, or like the M-Center, that you buy immediately what you want. The tokens are so easy to get, and have no value at all, so I think it's time to change it, so if I'll have to save 10k wizard tokens for an item, it can be amazing and challenging :D
Wouldn't that make the Token shop pretty similar to the Crystal shop, aside from the fact that it's really easy to get tokens? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I personally like having the varied avenues to get limited items.

Do you vend at all? Sometimes, whenever I feel like trying my luck for a special item.
How often? Probably like once a month at this point, it went down.
At which machines? Usually Ocean Depth (however it's called) or whichever machine has the new prize that I want.
What's holding me back is the low chances of actually getting the item I want, which is understand as it should be difficult. However the fact that it uses Wizard tokens, I find it more valuable to keep those for token shop and bhh stuff. I just get bad items when I vend that don't sell well and don't frag well either. So from how I see it, my wizard tokens are better spent elsewhere!
However, I do really like the idea of tying this into fragging more so that the "bad" items we get are actually useful for that. I'd vend more if it was a good source for items that got me a decent-good turn out of crystals! Then again though, i'd probably only be motivated to vend if there was an item I was after through vending or the crystals shop, ahha.
1. Do you vend at all? I sure do! That's the main way I spend my wizard tokens.
2. How often? About every 3 days when I'm able to amass 1000 wizard tokens from questing so I can just vend in one big go since my cap is 500 items. I like to keep a constant stack of at least 1500 on me at all times in case I do manage to see something in BHH or Token shop releases something
3. At which machines? Ocean Depths is my main fall-back machine when I'm not after a specific newly released item. Someday I'll get my hands on a Riptide lol. I like the exclusive machine items, gives me a reason to change it up from time to time. Dragon's hoard is my current go to until I get my hands on the Beanie and jacket. xD
And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? I actually enjoy vending, please don't remove it. I like the random variety of plushies, beanies, books and wearables I wouldn't normally pick up to sell. It helps me get some fresh items/fodder for my shop. I think the cap is good where its at, otherwise I would probably go broke as hell or only vend once a week because I'd rather get my own wizard tokens rather than buying them. I think the options available for Wizard tokens are completely reasonable, there's 3 different avenues for people.
I vend every day - it's my main method of earning money on Subeta, and I would be sad to see it go. I vend mostly at Celebration Gift and Prize Get, and I'm fearing the day that exclusive items get added to those machines because the prices of all the items will probably tank :(
I haven't really done much fragging, because I haven't got the time to sort through all my vends to find the ones that aren't worth selling - I just stick them in my shop and use the autopricer. I would frag more if there was an easy way to select all the items in my shop under a certain price and move them to my inventory.
