It costs a bit more but I keep my eye out for r70+ items that have gone down to 2k sP since the rarer the item the better chance of getting one or two crystals from it :)

I vend some. When I'm bored and don't really have much to do, since it takes time on my awful wifi. I vend for books, plushies, and clothing mostly. But since there's so much junk in there, I usually frag all my winnings.

  1. Yes, I love the vending machines!
  2. Not as much as I used to since the restriction was put in place. I used to go on vending binges but now I can't really do that so it isn't as much fun.
  3. I usually just pick one or two randomly for the day. OD a lot also.

Please don't remove vending or restrict it further! I'd love to see the fragmentation give more crystals per frag. I'd definitely frag more of my vended items if that was the case. Another way to pick up the price of tokens may be to put a few high price items in the TS, like weapons or EPICon cards.

1. Do you vend at all? Yes. 2. How often? Sporadically after the cap was set in place. Ranges from hitting the cap every day for a week or more to absolutely nothing for months unless Drills asks. 3. At which machines? Whichever. Makes no difference.

I quest nearly every day and am hardly around for TS restocks. These last two stocks I've managed something from have been the first in months I think. (The last thing I remember nabbing is something from a Fireside stock.) The main use for my tokens are quick-sales when I'm low on sP and gifts.

Maybe you should remove some vending machines? Or make it 4 tokens per vend?

  1. Do you vend at all? No.

As I don't enjoy questing enough to get a token glut and don't generally have access to the autopricer it's just not worth it the time and tedium. I already end up with more random items than I know what to do with from the few quests I do, and I'd rather save my tokens for the token shop.

I'm happy to see increased prices in the Token Shop as someone who doesn't vend. I wasn't a fan at all of the vending-specific items being released that way.

1. Do you vend at all? Yes - quite a bit lately due to the recent RS changes.

2. How often? Everyday to the max for somewhere around a month.

3. At which machines? Ocean Depths most often.

4. And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? I generally advocate for vending to be revamped since it causes a lot of economic issues; however, restricting vending has an effect on more than just existing wizard token inventories in the market. It also directly impacts the fragmentizer, recycle beast, user shop stock and prices, restocking abilities, questing, etc. So the question shouldn't be a matter of just removing or restricting vending but instead how we can adjust vending to be beneficial in conjunction with all these interrelated features. Simply culling vending or restricting it further without considering the whole picture is a mistake, one which has already happened with the recent restocking changes and has resulted in quite the nightmare to put it kindly.

Given the impacted site features, one idea that might be useful is to allow wizard tokens to be converted into alternative site currencies. This wouldn't apply to event related currencies, especially with the Antique Shop opening and a number of old prize shops planned to be converted. Instead, allow currency conversions for Humming Power Crystals and recycle points specifically since they will be directly impacted by any loss of deflated items in the market. The Recycle Beast already smelts sP into recycle points, so it seems like it would be easy enough to similarly smelt wizard tokens. This could be a good tool for managing user prices for Humming Power Crystals too. For example (and noting that I'm only using arbitrary numbers right now), if a user can exchange 20 wizard tokens for the equivalent of 5 crystals then that gives each humming power crystal a value of around 4k-6k dependent on current user shop prices (this would fluctuate as wizard tokens leave the economy and more crystal currency is created, so that would need to be accounted for as well). Some of the other currencies could potentially be considered for wizard token conversions, but I'd limit it to only the fragmentizer and recycle beast initially and then make further determinations if a) it's needed, and b) it's a successful strategy.

Increasing prices in the token shop helps to remove site currency as well, though that seems like more of a band-aid to me than a full solution. A useful band-aid, but ultimately one that has limited reach. A shop overhaul would have a big effect though. Introduce token shop items at much higher costs as permanent shop additions. For example, I bought an Aegis for 25k the last time they stocked in the token shop. Why not have them permanently available for 250k wizard tokens (this is again an arbitrary number right now, but you get the idea)? Keep the special token shop stocks at the current prices 1-2 times a month but at lower quantities than they currently stock, and at the same time also introduce a separate section for permanent stock items. The user pays significantly more for the opportunity to buy a very rare item anytime, and if they happen to catch a random restock of an item they want at a lower price then that's a really good day.

I second the idea of consolidating vending machines as well. Remove the dozen or so we've got now and go down to 2-4 that would then vend a much larger pool of items resulting in a more stable and controllable economy. I also like the idea of upping the cost to 4-5 wizard tokens per vend; however, I don't think a price increase like this should be put in place until after the machines have been consolidated and are then monitored for site impacts. It's possible that a higher price may be overkill after the machines are consolidated, especially since we'd still have the fragmentizer and recycle beast operating as they do now (in addition to the possible wiz token currency conversion idea). The same can be said about further restrictions being placed on the number of vends allowed per day. I think that vend limits may very likely need to be adjusted in the end and/or the cost per vend will need to be increased, but one step at a time.

I'm glad to see that there won't be any further vending specific items released as well. It could be possible to reintroduce those at a later date if somehow we end up in a situation where we need more people to vend, but right now those promote a problem with the site. On that note, I hope that the idea of unlocking additional shop stocks with more vends is not implemented. That's incredibly limiting on Subeta's ability to control the economic impact of vending. There will be so much of the first available shop's stock it will be incredible while the last shop's stock that gets unlocked will likely be pretty limited, and prices will bounce all over the place from high to low without any rhyme or reason. I get wanting it to feel like something's being unlocked, but isn't the prize for vending literally the prize you get from vending? We don't want to further encourage vending right now. This seems like another option that could be good if we end up in a situation where we need to further promote vending, but that's not beneficial with our current economic circumstances.

Changing vending and wizard token functionality will also directly impact another big site feature: questing. That being said, I think the impact could be somewhat minimal and ultimately a wash between any increased costs for completing quests vs. increased rewards received. For that reason, I wouldn't involve any quest changes right now regarding what the NPCs ask for or their subsequent rewards (including wizard quests). They should be monitored though and adjusted as needed to help stabilize the economy following any vending related changes.

Oh, this will be fun to answer.

1. Do you vend at all? Yes.

2. How often? LOL WELL...most days... (honestly not as much as I used to since it's really just... economy ruiner)

3. At which machines? When Blue Sky used to mostly give books, it was 100% Blue Sky, but since that is literally a pos now, I vend at the wearable machines (Grave Digger/Ocean Depths) because lol how else am I gonna get the new wears with the restocking borked as it is. Then I just frag all the useless 300sP junk.

4. And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? In the Token Shop, like I do anyway.

1.) YES 2.) Daily- please don't take this away! 3.) I always vend at Prize Get. It helps me reach several goals more quickly such as the Gourmand achievement, feeding the minions and the vending achievement.

  1. Yes, I rely on it to stock my shop
  2. 4 to 6 times a week if I'm gold. 1 to 2 times a week if I'm not.
  3. Celebration Machine, Ocean Depths, Prize Get and Dragons Hoard

I think vending should not be removed. This is one of the things I actually do here without fail. I'm happy with the cap although I wish we could vend rarer items (even if just a small chance percentage).

  3. At which machines? Ocean Depths mainly, but i do use the other vending machines.

Vending can be time consuming necessity for me. I thought maybe to speed up vending that a user could enter in an area set up for this. The user could enter how much they want to vend in a certain machine or break up the allowed amount between their favorite machines to vend daily. Plus an option to see rarities on items.

Hah! I always thought I was the only one using the -method! :D

  1. Do you vend at all? Yes!

  2. How often? Occasionally. I don't vend each and every day but when I'm at a vending machine I just can't stop clicking on it o.q (ouch, my token purse!)

  3. At which machines? I have this odd ritual: try to vend 10 times at each machine, then go to Ocean Depths and vend till my hand falls asleep :D

If vending should ever be removed from the site, I'd likely hoard my tokens and hope for an increasing chance to restock at BHH and the Token Shop. It would be sad to see a 20 Point Wizard Token for like, 1k sP in the user shops. On the other hand, if vending (as it is) would cost around 5 tokens I likely wouldn't vend at all as the items we can get aren't interesting enough for me. On this path, I'd probably stop to use the fragmentizer (since I'd have nothing to frag) o-o

I somehow like the idea of having 2 vending machines: one that combines all the stuff the existing machines give out, and one with a higher price that has a minimal chance to give out rare/special/retired items. Heck, I'd even vend one time for 500+ Tokens to get a random Subeautique item 😊

I love vending, though I try to keep a healthy stack of tokens on hand for releases at the token shop. I mostly do Ocean Depths and Dragon's Hoard, and find it a quick way to get items to frag and to grab any basic clothing items I may have missed. I usually click through a bunch when it gets brought up by Drills' quests.

I wouldn't be opposed to the number of times vending is allowed decreasing though.
