  1. Do you vend at all? Yes.

  2. How often? During workweeks, only in the weekends (so Saturday and/or Sunday). Always the max. of 1000 tokens. During holidays (mostly winter and summer holidays) a lot more, several days in a row, but that varies.

  3. At which machines? Ocean Depths for the good items (either wishlisted wardrobe items or for selling), mostly. Then Dragons Hoard and Frosty Claw, because I like the items. Then also Grave Digger. I hate the items (flowers and flowers and flowers), but I'm still after that damn Snow Dusted Bloodred Apple (after god knows how many thousands of vends). And recently also Blue Moon, because of the newly released machine-specific items.

  4. And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? I don't think it should be further removed or restricted. If it would be like 200 vends a day instead of 1000, I doubt I would changed my habit of vending in weekends, but at least when I do vend, I get 1000 tokens out of the system in one go. It's also my main income of restocking my shop.

  5. What if we made it so that items were worth more crystals for fragging, so just fragging random quest rewards turned out to be valuable for that? That would also help. Right now, I only look for rarity 90+ items to frag, because those give out more crystals. I don't vend lower rarities, since I feel like I would earn more money selling the items themselves, rather than getting one (or none) crystal.

Oooh, I've had a while to think about this!

I vend sporadically. When I had my GA, I did it just about every day (since I could auto price the cheap stuff), but not always to the limit. Outside of that, I'll vend when MD tells me too, or when the weekend quest corresponds nicely to a particular machine (Pete, Maleria, Library). So generally I'll stick to Celebration Gift, Blue Sky and Prize Get, maybe with a bit of Ocean Depths if I feels like wasting some tokens.

I'd have no problem seeing it removed, but I think the situation could be improved with tweaking how it all works (plus there'd be merry, screaming hell from a lot of the user-base if it's scrapped, and I don't have the energy for that). Maybe instead of ten machines, have one. This one machine pulls items from three NPC shops, which are selected at random and change of a daily basis. This stops the ease of vending for a particular items, or the value of other items being constantly dragged down to the popularity/demand of one type of item found there. Also creates a bit of community cohesion in finding out what's vending each day.

Other use for tokens... bring back the oracle shop (not that it ever quite left)? Have a new NPC running it (just to give Elwood something more to complain about). Double points is said NPC is a mad, old, Saharic hermit-witch.

<p>Use the token shop for more than 1-2 items every month. You can have items that are meant to sit there for days, instead of selling out in 30 seconds. Either cheaper items with thousands in stock, or more expensive items that require saving (like the Aemis) so people have a solid goal.

Wouldn't that make the Token shop pretty similar to the Crystal shop, aside from the fact that it's really easy to get tokens? Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I personally like having the varied avenues to get limited items.

Basically, yeah. They'd still do the big restocks like they do now, but they'd have a smaller set of items designed to sit there as a long-term goal for players. With the infrequent TS restocks we have now, there's no real use for tokens 95% of the time outside of vending.

It would be a token sink, basically:

-Take tokens out of the system -Token prices rise -Vending slows down -Prices of vended items go up

(In theory, at least)

  1. I vend sometimes, not as much as I used since the limit was put on...but I understand the reason for the limit

2.If I do maybe once a week, sometimes twice.

3.OD, blue sky, and dragons hoard

I really wish that the rarity was not there. I can't rs worth a shit, so I was hoping I would have luck vending and get them that way. that is the only thing I don't like.

I do love the new special items being introduced to certain machines. My question...when was the last time a vended? it would be nice to see those pop up again. Also maybe change out some of the items...I can sometimes get the same item 10+ times from the same machine in the same day. gets discouraging when there seems to be a huge supply of items to get.

  1. I only vend around 150 times per day while working toward the achievement
  2. Normally a 2-3 times per week
  3. Celebration and Prize Get are the main ones. Sometimes I will choose another random machine just to change things up.

I think vending should be more restricted by cutting the number of spins in half. I know personally with my 150 spins rarely do I receive many items worth over 1k. These are just used for fragging. Having cheap items to frag is great but the result is a flood of super cheap items driving down prices. This causes restockers trouble because NPC shop prices are rarely cheaper than so many items now.

I would love to have the token shop restock either every week or every other week. Also Blackheart Hollow could restock a bit more but not so much as to drive prices too much lower. Maybe there could be a shop to spend our tokens in that stays stocked with items similar to the quest shops.

  1. Do you vend at all?

Yes

  1. How often?

Mostly for Major Drills quests so it depends how often he asks me to vend. There are some days, though, when I just vend to fill up my shop.

  1. At which machines?

Usually Celebration gift because some food items are still profitable. On rare occasions I try Blue Sky in hope of getting a profitable book or two.

I don't think vending should be removed altogether but I do think that we don't need so many vending machines. This would reduce the amount of duplication. For example, how many machines do we want giving out clothes?

I also think that having special items given out by vending machines is a very bad idea because people trying for them just flood the site with low rarity stuff selling for less than NPC shop prices.

I have no idea what we could do with all the Wizard Tokens. I thought vending was brought in so we could use some of them up. Maybe the Wizard could be taken off the weekend quest rota or something.

Also: Do you keep track of vending behind the scenes? Those numbers would tell you more than polling players on the forum like this.

Yes :) It's just not really possible to get the why behind the numbers we see daily, so we can sort of look at what people say here and compare that to their vending numbers (and the average user).

I really like this idea :) I'm trying to think of how it could be more community building, maybe as more people vend from it (with a max of like 100 per day or something) it unlocks the additional shops, up to 3 for that day, or something? Basically I want it to feel like you're unlocking something.

And each day there is a different of the machine-only items (which we've stopped doing based on feedback :)) that is listed at the top that you have a chance of getting.

+1 for the idea, thank you! ❤

  1. Yes I do! I don't know if it's necessarily profitable or anything but I like it :)

  2. Maybe a couple times per week? I don't usually hit the limit and I always have a few thousand tokens. If I vend to the limit I end up with way too many items to manage (in terms of pricing my shop with no autoprice or even just looking up values because I'm on a touchscreen a lot and hovers are difficult).

  3. Pretty much all the regular machines (I can't do ocean depths because I don't have access or I'd prioritize that one). I'm honestly not certain which ones have exclusive items but I think the chance of getting one is so low I'm never going to see one. I keep some stuff for collections/wardrobe, sell a few higher priced items, and frag the rest to save time.

I definitely have plenty of tokens to spend in the token shop and would love to see more restocks! :) And don't the carnival games take tokens too? Maybe if those had more incentive to play that could be a place to spend tokens too.

Thank you for asking for our opinions :)

  1. Do you vend at all? Hell yeah. Whenever something gets released and restocking is butt, I vend. I have over 10k tokens, I need to use them.
  2. How often? Whenever you guys release new stuff OR if I try to get your special wears (apple, exclusive sets, riptide).
  3. At which machines? As I said, it depends where I get the goods.

Everything that I vend goes to fragging.

And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? Why removing it? I mean, aren't you guys shooting yourself in the foot? Why do you release exclusive items that can only be vended ?! Isn't like, a bad idea to push such idea .. I don't want to see vending abolished for the pure reason that I enjoy doing it and getting some decents items instead of taking forever to restock them (and like I said, I don't feed my shop since I frag). But it would be interesting to see more items in the token shop but peharps another type of shop for them? I can't come up with any good diea ..

It'd be the items that are already released via this method. I could see it being a lot different if there is only one machine and you're shown what item you have a chance for that day than the way it is now. I've read the thread - hence the (which we've stopped doing based on feedback :))

Oh yay! I did something constructive! I think it's fair to say there is something very off about the way items are grouped in machines at the moment that is causing issues which further vending limits wouldn't fix. Making it more fluid should hopefully make it more exciting part of the site while allowing for some ease of movement in item values.

  1. Do you vend at all? - No

I would like vending getting a gigantic price rise. 2 tokens is worth nothing. 10 or 20 tokens per vend would keep vending on site, drain way more tokens, making them actually worth using. It would also severly decrease the number of items in the economy, getting people to restock and quest again instead of clicking a magic little button that has no bad consequences for the user, but has bad consequences for the entire economy.

Or you can take the vend-exclusive items and put them in the token shop at high prices? The items shouldn't be an excuse to keep the vending machines around since they are just items.. they can move into different currency shops.

You could "unlock" the ability to vend at one combined machine with a temporary (daily) buff for wizard tokens while removing all current vending machines. It would gobble up tokens faster that way without completely getting rid of vending.

1. Do you vend at all? On occasion, but not w/ any consistency. The most I've vended (ever) was when the specialty items were in Grave Digger.
2. How often? After the items were retired (rosebands and apple bg) I have vended twice, and not to my daily limit. That was the first time I've ever hit it, even when I do it for fragging. I'd rather hoard my tokens. 3. At which machines? In general, it's at OD, Prize Get or Dragons Hoard. Random to not at all for the others.

And if you think vending should be removed / further restricted, how would you like to use your wizard tokens instead? I hoard my tokens b/c there's nothing to spend them on. Today was the first time I got s/thing from BHH and in the TS, there's usually only 1-2 items that I want but even if I wanted to get more to sell, the wait times and timing just don't mesh well.

I agree w/ those who would want more frequent TS restocks w/ more expensive items. If you want me to spend my tokens, then I have more than enough to spend on about 26+ items that costs 1000 tokens. Plus, I like the items that are put in the TS compared to BHH.

The idea of new ways to get more crystals is good, but I still have a hoard of tokens that I'm generally not using.

- I read that part, but I don't understand what you're saying. It sounds contradictory to me:

Quote by Keith

"Let's have machine-only items, but let's not"

And I still think "unlocking" more shops incentivizes vending, which that other feedback thread is totally against. Rotating the shops daily is one thing (that's actually what the Mystery Box does already), but encouraging people to vend more to unlock things will just encourage more vending overall. If that's your goal, then go for it. But that seems to go against most of the feedback I've been seeing recently.

  1. Yes, sometimes
  2. Once or twice a week unless there is a "special" vending event going on
  3. Normally Blue Sky and Celebration Gift, sometimes Ocean Depths. But I've used all of them at one time or another.

I don't have any complaints about the current vending process, or any specific suggestions. But I do like the idea of making items worth more crystals if you are trying to rid the site of really cheap frag-able things.

I vend mainly when I need items to frag for crystals and it's usually the Ocean Depths machine. I think one machine is a good idea with items from different places. I also think it would be nice to have items in the vending machine from past events that are never, ever going to take place again (i.e., the reading drive, the pirate/islander war, and the digging expedition and the past epicons would be nice.
