Q: Are we allowed to ask another user to bake an item for us? A: Yes! Right now anyone can bake for anyone*. Below I have listed out people who have volunteered to bake an item for you, though you must provide all of the ingredients. If the user burns the item then you will have to provide ingredients at your cost, this is why I have imposed a baking level minimum for all volunteers. In order to utilize the volunteer baking service, please post your request with item trade lot(s) included in your pobst. *Here is the news reference where clarified that it is indeed welcome for users to help other users by baking for them. Q: Prices rise exponentially with every new installment of a new item, how can I ever afford this? A: Sometimes a staffer will add baking ingredients to the Donation Corner. lowered the rarity of all baking ingredients, therefore, it should be far easier to RS them, which will lower their price overall. Another influencing factor to the price of a new baking item is that new items are being added often to make it easier to bake.

Q: In the Millionaire Center what is the Baking Starter Kit and its purpose? A: After purchasing the baking starter kit use the 'Look Inside!' option and you will receive ingredients to bake one item (rumor was that it is within your current baking level, but I have not found this to be the case) plus a handful or other random items that can be used for baking. When I opened a baking starter kit today I received the items to bake Endeavor Rice Pudding plus 7 extra items.

Q: How long will this bakery be open, it is like an event with a finite window of time in which it operates? A: Fantine's Bakery is nota limited or seasonal event. Fantine even got to open up a real storefront bakery in Veta Lake District! Check out her bakery, it's right behind the farmer's market in a deceivingly plain cream home.

Q: After baking the maple cookies I am stuck and cannot move on to the next item, what is going on? A: The maple cookies represent a Level 1 item. In order to move up to the next baking level, you must successfully bake a few batches of cookies in order for your level to go up. After moving up to level 2 you can create baked goods in that level. This pattern continues, with each level requiring more and more baking in order to proceed.

Q: Do I have to click at exactly 15 minutes to keep my item from burning? A: No, burning a baked treat is not based on the time you click. Burning items is based upon your level of experience as a baker. A very experienced baker might break a pan or melt an oven mitt but they would rarely burn a batch of pastries or a cake.

Q: What about burning items baked, do we get anything? A: Yes there are items exclusively created by unsuccessfully creating bread, pie, cookies, or cake in Fantine's Bakery. An unsuccessful attempt at baking results in burning. When you burn an item you do not gain as much in terms of experience points and you also will receive one of the following items.

Q: When do we stop burning baked goods? A: At this point there is no upper limit to burning items. Unsuccessful attempts at baking are drastically reduced as you gain in experience, however, the possibility to burn an item remains even when your baking level is quite high. The last time burnt an item was when she was baking level 25.

Q: I have to replace an oven mitt or specific baking dish for Fantine if I ruined it? A: Fantine can't be expected to provide baking equipment to everyone! Therefore, when something becomes damaged or burnt, the baker must replace the oven mitt or a specified pan (she tells you which one to purchase) in order to continue baking in Fantine's kitchen. This event is quite rare and usually only happens in the lower echelons of baking.

Q: Is there another way to procure items other than the usual restocking, especially more rare items? A: You could always try to get baking items from vending machines. For example you will get a lot of white chocolate and white eggs from the Shining Crane vending machine. Another great way to get items with the word burnt as part of their item name is to use one of the stoves restockable from Home Appliances. However, I have used over 30 stoves and have yet to receive the Burnt Sugared Doughnut that is required for the Marshmallow Spaceship Cake, so keep in mind this is completely random.

Q: Is there a pet whose page lists all the ingredients needed to bake? If it is could you link me to it please? A: Yes, this pet is in existence and is owned by , the pet page can be found here: Baker's page about baking.

Q: Is there an achievement for baking? A: Currently there is no baking achievement in place, though there may be one in the future. There is a slightly baking related achievement which includes three baked cake items that you must feed to your pet along with a handful of other cake items, it is titled: "Take the Cake." The three cakes items are: Maid of Honor Cakes, Lemon Rosemary Cake, and Fancy Masquerade Wedding Cake.

Basic Ingredients These are all the nonspecific baking ingredients that Fantine could ask for. These ingredients are open to a wide variety of choices due to the fact that these items constitute the base for most recipes. Not all of these will be used in every recipe, for example some recipes do not call for eggs and others will not call for honey. These are the ingredients that can be found on the left side of the divided recipe page. They are only listed here for convenience so all options are easy to choose between. The individual recipe specific ingredients are not listed as there is only one option available. Those precisely specific items can be found on the right side of the divided recipe page.

I've also noticed that new items seem to be added to the end of the level list, so new items will always end up between two levels, but should be part of the group right before it.

Could you add nuts to basic ingredients? :)

Yes, I realized that I am missing nuts and citrus, so I will get those up as soon as possible.

I will add you down as a volunteer, thanks! So basically if someone pings you and requests that you bake an item for them then you do so. They set up a trade to send you all the required items and you send them the baked item in return. It's strictly volunteer and there is no incentive or pay or gifting involved. ^_^

Hey folks! I've baked several extra of the new items so if anyone wants to claim them, I just ask for the ingredients in return. With this way, you have no chance of burn as they are already baked! This is what I have so ping me if you want to trade the ingredients for the cakes. It will be first come first served. I won't be able to check here until late tonight after work:

I don't mind - it's a great idea! I have a hoard of extra items too, I've been stashing them in TC and selling them off though. I will also trade some in similar manner as this is a good way to reach more people, due to the lack of burning. Although I have not burnt anything in the oven since before level 12.
