It’s the time you’ve all been waiting for, Survival 2020! Gunner has been working hard with some Subetan businesses that wanted to sponsor strains this year for the Volunteer Infection Program.

Celebrate your love safely with the new items from L’amour Parlor!

You can purchase items from Louis by using candy hearts you receive by kissing on the forums. Use the following code in your status or on the forums.

If your tastes lean a little more underground, try visiting Skitters. He’s got some great items this year.

Don’t forget to pay your respects at the Survivor Memorial. Keep an eye out for these flowers, as they’ll either restock at Seedlings or float around the site!

You can also frag the flowers you find floating!

I'm sure there is someone else FAR more qualified to make this argument, but BDSM does not equal SEX. Some BDSM relationships include sex. Some do not. Despite what 50 Shades of Grey poorly displayed, that's not what BDSM is.

So I'm not offended at the items. They're not my cup of tea, but they're really not crazy. Pretty sure I've seen CWs with more skin than that...

And let's be honest here. Kids are discovering way more without the help of some holiday items on a pet site. 13 or not.

I believe the amount of kids doesn't matter. the fact of the matter is there [i]are[i/] children on this site, regardless of how many- and you should want to protect them from overtly sexual content. They aren't "just" leather clothes and you know that. Some unsuspecting child could wear these items... doesn't that bother you? It's really mind-boggling that so many people are excusing this.

I do think the new items are definitely out there, compared to most site items, and it's a valid discussion topic for many reasons. But simply put, "think of the children" doesn't really work when there aren't that many children on site. Also it's not like there's anything really being depicted here explicitly - it's just leather "clothing" and accessories.

If you want baroque clothes that is great, but if you want something might I suggest that in the future you just post about what you want to see in the relevant suggestion thread as early as possible. I always suggest lots of things for events and it actually works, Like 60% of what skitters has to offer this year is stuff I suggested. So why don't you go to the suggestion threads of the next 2 events so the artists don't have to try to read your mind 😉. There's only so many themes of items/clothing you can do before it gets stale (as far as items on pet sites go). I'm really happy to see the artists bucking a holiday's expectations and giving us a greater variety of items to use.

Yeah there's already a lot of frilly stuff onsite though. What we didn't have a lot of was neon and bondage gear. They're just trying to give us a greater range of items instead of rehashing the same themes every year...it's a good thing.

I'm pretty sure I never said anywhere that people weren't allowed to like things. I didn't even say I didn't want (some of) the sex gear. I have never said that anything on this site should not exist. But we do usually get actual clothing in that shop.

It used to be that if you were a frilly person who liked historically-inspired clothing or lolita and steampunk stuff, you could shop at L'Amour Parlor, Steamworks Menagerie and even the Alegarten shop and get your frills on. Plus there were always a few cute blouses each year for Keelhauliday.

I'm not complaining that new stuff has been added; I'm complaining that a lot of the stuff people have been expecting each year has been dropped like a hot rock, and it always seems to be the stuff I look forward to most. After last year's Menagerie was all punk and no steam, and some of the Keelhauliday shirts looked like office clothes, L'Amour Parlor was starting to look like the last bastion of baroque on this site.

I love the pride pints and some of the sexy stuff, but while L'Amour has always had lingerie, that's usually not the only thing they stock.
