It’s the time you’ve all been waiting for, Survival 2020! Gunner has been working hard with some Subetan businesses that wanted to sponsor strains this year for the Volunteer Infection Program.

Celebrate your love safely with the new items from L’amour Parlor!

You can purchase items from Louis by using candy hearts you receive by kissing on the forums. Use the following code in your status or on the forums.

If your tastes lean a little more underground, try visiting Skitters. He’s got some great items this year.

Don’t forget to pay your respects at the Survivor Memorial. Keep an eye out for these flowers, as they’ll either restock at Seedlings or float around the site!

I was on all evening and into the beginning of the night and I'm willing to say that the forums have been down since 9 pm last night. This morning I've seen them be accessible for a hot minute only to be bombarded by application errors then offline again, so if they've been popping back open throughout the night, I can assure you they've been down for longer than one thinks.

I'm really anxious because I wasn't able to post the bhp ping at midnight, and combined with all the errors rendering the site unusable, I really hope they suspend the bathhouse streaks for today.

Yeah, shutting down both shoutbox AND forums was a big mistake by the staff. They should have at least put a link to the full shoutbox in the error message so people could access that! And once these features return there's CERTAIN to be griping from the userbase. And I wouldn't blame them honestly.

As for the kinky stuff, I think there should have only been 5 items with this theme and the rest normal Survival stuff. With COPPA active and how Youtube has been affected by that law I think it's too risky to create such items unless the recommended age for Subeta is CLEARLY STATED on the homepage when you log in.

Since people are posting kiss links, guess I will too...

The sb is closed. The forums are closed. The news comments were down all morning for me until now and I barely trust that this comment will be posted. Tell me, where are we supposed to participate in this community event? Our own friend lists? What about people who don't have active friend lists? This is ridiculous. The viruses need to be frozen at their current stage and the site needs to be taken down until we at least have the forums back because people are going to miss entire stages at this point. This is RIDICULOUS and everyone I know is furious.

I think a lot of the people disappointed that the parlor this year has a lot of kink stuff aren't looking at the shop as a whole. Much of everything else is dedicated to romantic love (and some platonic stuff in there too iirc), and there's tons of pink, cutesy stuff in there from past years. There's some shibari/rope bondage stuff from last year, but by and large, the shop is very typical-Valentine's day stuff. There stuff from 2020 doesn't replace or negate the shop's previous items, and Skitters has a fair share of more "normal" wearables.

And honestly... being kinky isn't strictly about the kink in and of itself. Like others have mentioned, it represents a deep, meaningful trust with your partner(s). That takes a lot of vulnerability, and oftentimes, a lot of love. It involves a lot of communication, boundary-setting, and consent is key to everything. Louis L'Amour is all about love in all its forms, and being kinky is one of countless ways to show love. I'll happily defend the presence of kinky stuff in the shop for that reason, and think it'd be great to have items geared towards platonic/non-sexual/etc. love as well in the future.

Look I know some folks dislike this but there are other things on site that are far more offensive in my opinion, anyone? Yes I use these as an example a lot but that is because they are deep in the realm of disgusting things, Not everyone is going to like everything and my dislike of the fetus pops proves that but I can go about my day on here and be just fine. I don't have to collect them or knowledge their existence unless a situation calls for me to. Personally I don't find anything wrong with this year's parlor items, Course I'm a hardcore fifty shades fan but that's besides the point :P

If you don't like it then don't buy it but don't try to ruin it for everyone else and if you really just can't handle subeta releasing stuff like this then no one is forcing you to stay here. I'll take subeta over a certain other pet site any day, Perhaps those complaining should go over there where everything is gentle on the feels.

Honestly, I don't care for the kink stuff, but I also don't care that most of Louis's shop this year is full of it. Fact is (like a staff member said in the comments already) -- DON'T LIKE IT? [U][B]DON'T BUY IT!![/B][/U] Get the crap you do want, browse the forums, turn off HAs, and move on. Getting into an uproar over it only hurts you. With that said...

I'm saddened that there's only one wig line in both shops. Usually there's at least 2 wig sets, one more male oriented the other more female. I'm saddened that the only one in two shops is a mohawk. Oh well, looks like I'm saving my hearts again! :) Enjoy your Survival everyone! :)

And not to spam but reading through comments as I start trying to kiss everyone with he links, and I get people being caught off guard, or in some cases offended by the BDSM items, and while I don't think Subeta should necessarily limit itself, it might be nice to include a little "NSFW" message in the announcement post? Might be a good way to calm a bit, without taking away from trying new things and exploring other options. I'm not personally offended but my eyes definitely got a bit bigger lol

First reports from outside sources (mostly Subeta-related discord servers I'm in) seem to indicate the forums went down somewhere around 3:30am Subeta time. So the forums have been down somewhere in the neighborhood of almost 5 hours at this point.

I needed a laugh today so I’m sat on my tea break at work reading all these comments and having a good giggle to myself XD I’m one of those people where if I see something I don’t like then I just ignore it. What’s the point in kicking up a fuss when it’s not directly affecting you? It’s not being shoved in your face, you can literally just not go in to the shop if you’re that offended. Don’t like it? Then don’t buy the items. I don’t like mushrooms but you don’t see me moaning about wanting mushrooms taken off the site because I don’t like them. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean everyone has to dislike it too.

For me it's abit of a concern on skins. Though I forgot that you can just sign up and wait, for a moment I got into the mindset of I can't be infected if I don't get bitten. Then I remembered the Volenteer program isn't on the forums and I can still get infected, so long as I don't pick random I think. Just takes longer without bites.

I am going to avoid getting one of the new strains while things are still broken, Staff needs to unlock them in the wardrobe which could be back burner for awhile.

I hope the forums or at least the shoutbox will be back soon. Honestly I could not care less about this year's shop items, I can just not get the sexual ones and it's not like there's anything explicit on them. I say this as someone who is always regarded as the worst prude - I don't understand what all the outrage is about. To me it was like, "hey, less event currency I have to spend this year so I can get all the things I am missing from previous years." X)

Okay, I'm bjust gonna throw this out there. The l'amour parlor is already filled with skimpy lingerie. Last I checked, most people only wore lacy skimpy (usually really uncomfortable) lingerie for sexy time. You know what it's designed for. You know what people are probably going to be doing when they're wearing it.
