It's good, but I do think it could benefit from somewhat bigger eyes.
Incredible art and I'm hoping a revamp would create more colors (Angelic? Glade?). Others make a good point though, the pose and ears could use some work, but this is an amazing idea. It's great to have more realistic pets, and tigreans are my favorite :)
OH. I do miss the little tuft of fur on the forehead that the old one has, so maybe that could be incorporated?
This is wonderful (aside from the weird connection of the paws to the limbs). It makes me want to get a Tigrean now. I like how it is more bulky like a real tiger as well.
Awws...I actually loved the old version more than the new. It just made me so happy, and it looks so playful. Once of my favorite common species/colors, too. Ho hum. I like the cuteness and cartoony look of the old one much better, in my opinion.

I agree with this completely. LOVE the redraw though. They're been in need of one. I am a huge Tigrean fan. :)
Hard decision here...like the detailing on the new one, but prefer the expression and eyes on the old one...
The paws don't quite fit the new one. If you're gonna go all realistic, please make the paws less stocky and the toes less nubby!

The new one is stunning, I am just a bit hesitant about that belly fur.. And the body is way too short! If you're going for a realistic touch, you should totally keep proportions in mind. I am sure it would look nicer when it wouldn't be that chubby!

Wow, I just turned my Tigrean Glacier this morning. I much prefer the older one. The new one is way too realistic looking, too muscular, and just all around unappealing to me. I guess Kudari will only enjoy a few days as Glacier because I'll probably wind up changing him to a new pet entirely.
I was just thinking earlier today that I would love to see Bean put some attention into this pet. Wow, way to read my mind. ❤️ I cannot stop staring at the face. It's fucking beautiful. I love the fluff and the new tail as well. And those stripes !
I do agree that the rump and the front legs look a little small compared to the top-front portion of it, however (as much as I just want to sit here praising you, you amazing Bean you; I know you like critiques, however unqualified some of us are to give them ;) ). Maybe if the bottom chest fluff was slightly smaller, and the bottom back part were slightly bigger, it would help. Not even much, really. The front most leg... Maybe have it bent a little more dominantly, and slightly lower. OR you could go with making the front portions (neck, chest, bottom chest, head?) a little smaller, to coincide with how it's always been seen as a little more "sleek" and less bulk ?

awww, I love the old Tigrean (I have one). While the new one has better art, the old one has a better pose and attitude (I love that tuft of white fur on the chest that flares out). I don't like how shaggy the new one looks, or the smaller ears... I also don't like how its tail is between its legs, I'd like it better if it was around the hind leg (in front of it, like the old version).
I guess it just looks too realistic, and I prefer my Tigrean more cartoony XD
I generally like this revamp, but I feel like the face could use some more... character. Maybe if the eyes were just a bit bigger, and there was still a tuft of fur on top of the head. I think with a few tweaks to give it just a touch of cartoonishness, it could be perfect.
I...honestly prefer the old one. The new one is stunning, but it looks too realistic, so much stockier/muscular and more mature, I like the more sleek, graceful look of the old (in the special colors, anyway). I've never liked Archans, mainly because they're so bulky, and I'd be disappointed to see the Tigrean go in the same direction. I know real tigers are muscular, but that doesn't mean a thing, after all the times "X Subeta pet =/= Y RL pet" has been brought up as a response to complaints. I adore the Reborn and Glacier Tigreans in particular (and the Galactic was what got me to join Subeta in the first place!), and I'd be scared to see them get updated in this look. D: I'm sure the art will be beautiful, but I love them as they are. I don't think everything needs to be revamped to be more realistic. :/
I really, really love the art for the new one. I kind of wish it was a little bit more sleek, since it looks rather bulky to me. The new version has amazing markings and I love the eyes. Over all I think this is an amazing revamp.

I love it but as it's already been mentioned: the lack of foreshortening on the new ribcage is a little bothersome.

I personally think the nose could be smaller and the ears bigger. Then the chest hair could be poofyier in the front like the old one. Also, I always thought it could use some more spikes because they just always seemed a bit outta place by themselves but thats probably just me. I absolutely adore the more realistic take of the new Tigrean but I do have some nit picks/feedbacks about it.
Head: The ears seem a tad bit off to me, they are too small. I know the artist was going for the 'ears to the side' tiger look but something about the right ear just seems off to me, I can't put my finger on it. The Side fur/muzzle is perfect. I think the eyes need to be a tad bit bigger.
Body: Love the pose but it could use a little bit of work. The pet seems very sout and low to the ground. This could be fixes by extending the neck area or length of the body. The legs also look very short compared the body. The chest/belly region also seemed a little squished but that might be do to the sout quality of the anatomy.
Overall: Epic start, I am trully impressed just-strech out the form a tad, longer legs or body should fix 100% of the issues.
I'm not a cat person, so I don't care either way. I think both the old on and new on have good points and bad that have mostly been pointed out already, I think. But I have to say -- THANK YOU for giving it four toes. I cannot even begin to describe how much it bothers me that most of the pets on Subeta only have three toes. They look so awkward.
The body is realy wonderfull... but the ears could be bigger.
I have a revamp question... There are always User who prefer the older pets. Why not give them a chance to choose...? Why don#t ypou give the Users to chance to keep the old version? New Users have to take the new one, of course... I wish I had the chance at the DM Kumos. Just my twocents... Maybe it could be an option to make everybody happy...
Damn it, I knew something else was bothering me.
There is no apparent foreshortening of the ribcage and stomach in the new one, it just looks like it has very short solid sides.
You can see how a cat's stomach dips in before the thighs, leading to an 'over hang' and a deep shadow, at the moment the thigh of the new one merges straight into the chest, there is no indication of stomach mass.
Quick example before I go to bed...
okay wait no, i think the thing that bothers me the most about the new one is that while it has the potential to be something great, the restraints of the pet avatar size and the previous tigrean's stockiness make it look more like a big angry tiger on munchkin cat legs. the older tigrean just gives me a feeling that it's supposed to be a younger age altogether so the proportions make more sense.
I feel like the new one is a little too "realistic" to a tiger for subeta. Other than that, the proportion on the head seems a little off. I also feel like the front paw on the new one is sticking a LITTLE too far out. Personally, I prefer the other as it seems a little more feminine in the face to me. The new is very masculine.
The only thing that I can think of is that any of the common colors are going to look too masculine to use for most female characters. >_< Other then that the art is great!

Yes, please. While there are few flaws (extra toes and odd looking underbelly fur, in particular), I really like the realism of the new one.
I like the direction the new one is going in, but it actually looks-- really odd to me, because it's extremely "chibi" in shape, but at the same time presented more realistically. I just think the two-styles-in-one clash awkwardly, but that could be only me? The things that stand out the most to me is the cutesy-ness of the paws in contrast with the not as cutesy face, and the way the torso is thick and then suddenly sinks in dramatically as it approaches the hind legs. I'm sure that's partially due to the long fur there, but it doesn't appear to flow well, to me.
It looks cool, just doesn't go with the Subeta feel. I think this "revamp" might work better as a new color or something. Have a new option for "realistic" looking Subeta pets. It just doesn't work as a complete revamp though :/
Not to be off topic or anything, but I'm wondering why other pets who need revamps (like the Antelphore) aren't being revamped as opposed to this one, which the current Tigrean looks absolutely fine. I'm not a big fan of the whole switch to realism--I prefer the look of the older one. The revamp is bulky and the eyes seem too small.
I love the new artwork! Tho I agree with some people about the paws needing to be fixed up, and the eyes to be bigger. I'm also wondering what the Reborn and other special colors will look like.
The reason for the pose is to mimic the original tigrean (if you were around then, you'll remember the current tigrean didn't go over so well in it's proposed revamp poll and gosh is that an awkward sentence.) The fourth toe was added because I always regretted not adding it in before (it's just very awkward to draw a ferocious cat with only three toes.)
It's beautiful, but it doesn't look quite like a Tigrean. A bit too realistic.
So glad that Subeta is progressing out of uber-cartoony art. First the Fester and now this! Excellent. The stripes are perfection, and I love how many more there are, especially on the face. Love the shagginess of the fur and the broad, muscular shoulders -- this revamp actually looks powerful and like it knows it. Hope this pushes through.

it's amazing art, but to me it's not a tigrean. i'd think the facial proportions would need to be adjusted to give the more "cartoony" feel, otherwise it just feels like a generic red tiger.
I like the older one much better. It looks more Subeta (yet still fierce). I don't feel like the new one has anything as special to it.

Let's see, critique... part of the reason I liked the old one so much is because it didn't look exactly like a tiger. You could obviously tell that it was a feline, but it had proportions more similar to a house cat or a young tiger. If I wanted a bulkier feline, I would have gotten an Archan.
I think it's mostly the face that's turning me off on the new one, especially the nose/mouth, which look much wider and makes it seem more... I don't know, ferocious? Serious? I liked the whole mischievous look that the old one had going on. (The new one does too, to an extent, but it seems more like "I am planning to eat you" than "I am planning to play a prank on you".) I think making the nose a bit narrower would help a lot. Also, does the new one still have white ear fluff, or is the white the inside of the ear? It's hard to tell from this angle.
I'm not sure if the perspective on the front paw (the one that's behind the other) is right. I'm really bad with perspective, but it looks like it doesn't completely line up with the back paw, and having the paw peek out from behind the other leg looks odd. I think it should be drawn a little more to the left... though that would make the paw completely hidden. Tweaking the angle slightly, so you can see all four paws, would work best, but I know it's a lot of work to completely re-draw the pet. I'm also not too crazy about the fur hanging down from the stomach, though I know it's more realistic to have the longer fur in that area than at the top of the chest.
I'm really bad at explaining these things. I may try a redline later to illustrate what I'm talking about.
Things I do really like about the new one: the markings look fantastic; the anatomy overall looks much better, especially in the paws/legs and the hindquarters; I like that you kept the "wing" designs on the markings (I have a Reborn Tigrean, and the "wing" markings are one of the main reasons that I picked it); the spikes on the back of the legs and the tail fluff look great; the "random anime hair" on the top of the head is gone.
Anyway, I don't think I'll ever like the new version quite as much as the old version--because I really do love the old one, flaws and all--but I'll be content with the revamp if a few tweaks are made to it.
