I'm glad the hair tuft is gone, and I love the stockier build to it. Looks much more tiger-like ❤️ Want.
Looking at them more, I feel its mostly the head shape that bothers me. Like its squished onto its shoulders or something, just to fit into that tiny 200x200 space. The extra toe looks too busy as well as the belly fur hanging down. The stripes continuing on to the white parts of the fur remind me more of blood than fur markings. I am a fan however of the revamped striping, and that thy kept those spikes on the back feet. The yellow color might do well with a revamp but I'm not a Tigrean owner so I don't know. They are however one of the key characteristics of the pet to me.

The nose is huge. It takes up almost half the muzzle. The legs are also a bit bulky and splayed just a bit too much.
Other than that, very nice... Love the stripes!
... I freaking LOVE the new one. It is ... gorgeous. I've never really wanted a pet only because it looks nice, all of my pets have been chosen because they best suited a character I had in my head... but gosh... THAT... That is so gorgeous I want one simply just because.
That being said, I have to agree with some others... the eyes look a bit small to me. Obviously they don't need to be big and cartoonish like the old version, but they do look a little on the small side.
Also, the legs, not the paws bother me. The paws are fine, tiger paws aren't bubbly like that, HOWEVER, I think the legs need to be a bit thinner right before the paws. They don't angle in like the way a tiger's would... if anything it's almost as if it gets wider right before the paws, which just doesn't look quite right.
The little tufts of hair on the legs and the belly are gorgeous.
Me personally I don't find it anymore masculine than I found the older one...... well let me rephrase that, I don't find it anymore "male" than I found the old version. They both look more typically male, the old one just looks more.. tween male to me, where this one is more... 20's male...... in cat form, if that makes sense. I could see both being a female though... a very powerful "i'm going to rip your face off" type of female, mind you. I think transferred over to other colors and things like angelic and what not, some very "feminine" looking ones could come out of that.
I like the older one better than the newer one.
Although I do like fierce creatures, I always viewed the Tigrean, as another user put it, as a hybrid between a tiger and a house cat.
Maybe re-add the hair tuft and make the eyes less menacing?
I really love the new one, it looks really really neat and I want one. XD But the eye on the left, his right I guess, is really small and a little lower than the other eye which makes him look a little derp. XD;;;
Definitely like the older one, the new one is nice and all but I feel like all pets have their own feel in the game - some are more realistic, or cooler, or scarier, or whatever. The old Tigrean has a cute sleek feel which I feel like would be a shame to loose :( I'm all for revamps but only when they keep the same feeling (not just coloring or inspiration) as the original.
I much prefer the old art. This new art doesn't make it look as beautiful and graceful. I certainly hope the art stays the same, I will definitely be changing my breed of pet if it goes to this art. complete turn off.
It wouldn't be so bad if the lips around the nose wasn't so puffed out and the nose was smaller some and there were whiskers added and the ear tips didn't bend back like that but the ears stayed straight up instead.

The art on the new one is gorgeous, amazing really. That said, I am TOTALLY AGAINST this change. I love tigreans the way they were. I have had a tigrean since joining this site and I love him dearly. A small update might be okay, but nothing as drastic as this please please please! Instead of drastically updating what all the pets look like, why not add some colors that are still very lacking. coughangelictigreancough Please don't put this through, I really really don't care for this update at all. :(
I just want to say to anyone that if you REALLY love the old look better than maybe make or have someone commission the old layout that way in the pet profile it still looks the same way despite that from your view its not if it does get revamped.
While I do agree that real life tigers are bulky with both genders, I also agree that if I wanted to much more realistic tiger, I'd go to a zoo. It's not that I don't love the art or anything like that, it's just..it's too "real" for me.
If it was skinnier, had close to the same features of the old tigreans look...well...
I suppose of it was sleeker, the legs weren't so awkward, if the head was changed, then I'd like it better than I do.
It's wonderful art, but it's just...not my style.

The new one is of course drawn better, but it is to blunt and heavy(especially the head). It would more appropriate to have a sleeker, more graceful design as the tigrean has a bit of a sly expression and that would suit it better.
I really love the new one but...I don't think it looks very Subeta-y, if that makes sense? idk when i look at it i think "red tiger", not "Subeta pet". also i always thought of Tigreans as more of a mix of a tiger and a housecat, not just a tiger, so i kind of feel like that was lost too.
Maybe if the little headtuft was added in, it might look better? Gosh I really don't know. ;o; But something's off to me.
I absolutely LOVE the new version. I've never been a huge fan of the older Tigreans, but could definitely see myself having one of the newer versions.
I like the new one but I think the belly fur is a little distracting (make it smoother?) and the shading isn't dark enough. It just looks purple, not...dark.

The revamp is SO much more appealing to me. I love how thick and powerful it looks and the nice edge between cartoon and realism.
I like how it looks realistic, and not like a cartoon from some art website. I think it looks really awesome, and the details are beautiful. The fur patterns are awesome!

The legs are too short in my opinion and it's way too manly and mature. Despite owning male tigreans, I prefer a more gender neutral look.
For all these people saying that the new art looks too masculine or that the new art makes the tiger look fat and less elegant -- tigers are the biggest of the big cats. The new art has realistic looking paws, tiger paws are flat. They are not bubbly like the old art. Tigers are thick cats, not lean like panthers or cheetahs. Tiger heads are fucking humongous.
I like the new art, but wish the eyes were a bit bigger, even though for an actual tiger, the eyes are in good proportion to the skull.
The pose is a bit awkward, yes, but I do like the new art better.

The art, as a piece of art, is good. But like the Skitters update......it doesn't do the Tigrean as a species justice. I say thumbs down, try again. No offense to the artist I promise! Like I said, the art itself is BEAUTIFUL. I just don't like the style for the species.
I do like the new one and I like the old one, but I really hope you guys don't revamp the dark matter which has always been my fav type of the tigrean
It's only "manly" because we're comparing the buffness and personality it has to a human man. Human men =/= tigers of either gender.
Another point somebody else mentioned is how masculine it is. I just can't see the new one as a female, no matter how hard I try. At least most of the other pets I can see a general balance of "oh yeah it could be either gender." I realize, it's basically an animal but still... It's way too much on the manly side.
I just don't understand the folks saying that it looks too masculine. It's an animal. And in some animal species the female is larger than the male so IDGI, does it really matter?

Eh... I like the old one better. This new one feels too... Heavy, honestly. Bulky, not as much the graceful feline I feel it should be. The style is nice, the I prefer the old pose and especially the face... The new one's face looks too bulky, too wide. It's off somehow. The old one has a nice balance of grace and power, I think. The pose alone says a lot about it. I hope it stays as is...
while everyone seems really happy with the newer one, i feel like the old one doesn't really /need/ a revamp, especially compared to other pets. it's not bad art, and i think it serves the purpose of representing the pet quite well... the new art is really nice but.. if i were to own a tigrean, i'd prefer the old vs the new.
seriously, i feel like it could use new shading and maybe a little different face but completely redrawing it and trying to make it realistic... why?

The Tigrean was fine the way it was. Sure, it has a few flaws, but that's what made it one of my favorite pets! This one is just, much to masculine and doesn't have the same flair as the current version. It lacks the adorable eyes and that mischievous vibe it gave off. It's too realistic. This is a virtual pet site, if I wanted a real tiger I'd go out and get one. (Figuratively speaking, of course.)
The anatomy is also bothering me. I mean, I'm not the best at feline anatomy myself, but it just bugs me. The front legs especially. Not sure how to word it. e.o
Like I said, why fix something that doesn't need fixing? I mean, what's next? A Kumos revamp? A Keeto revamp? A Celinox revamp? These pets are fine the way they are and I don't really see any logic in 'revamping' them. =/

I LOVE the new one. A lot more "tiger" than the current.
I think the new version is well done in keeping with all of the Tigrean traits. Still, I voted for the old Tigrean, as I feel the new design is too bulky. There's a litheness to the old Tigrean, especially in the face, that I really like. The new Tigrean is very heavy feeling.
Also, new Tigrean looks like its ears are constantly flat, like it's always an angry kitty.
Regardless, I have no problem seeing the new tigrean replace the old.
Im not sure why this is needed...i personally appreciate the litheness of the old one more. The shine on the new one looks so out of place as does the wide face...id also like the ears to point foreward.
I like both, but the new one's legs are too splayed and wide, and the loss of the large eyes from the old one takes away some of the charm. Make a hybrid of the two versions, please!
