OH MY GOD. THIS. IS. AMAZING. Sorry for all caps but this revamp is seriously SO PERFECT and gorgeous and it makes me 100% want to get a common-colored Tigrean if this revamp goes through. It has all the traits of the old Tigrean that I love like the sturdy-looking legs and big paws and the markings. I actually like that it looks bulkier, it distinguishes it more from the Feli. We already have a slimmer feline pet, so to me the 'bulkier' look is really awesome, yet it's still different than the Archan. And to those who say it doesn't look feminine... just google pictures of a female tiger compared to a male tiger. Very similar. As for critiques, the nose IS a little on the large side, but overall I love everything else about it.
Ugh, new one just looks... weird. Weird weird weird. Old one's pretty. New one's... typical.
While I like the new version, I see no reason to change. I know there are a few species who need a lot more attention.

I adore the revamp - only issue I have with it is that the nose is a little too wide for my liking, but it's a wonderful update.
I aslo agree with what Shalashaska said - it's missing some very important looks that a real tiger has. It looks just too stocky and bulky...the stripes are great but I think it still needs a lot of tweaking. The tiger is a leaner, more elegant cat, with a lot of very defined features, including the head and face. It'd be nice if the new Tigrean was modeled moreso after it

lol subeta... I don't understand how this could possibly be too "realistic", much less too "masculine"?? personally, I think the new version is a huge improvement! I love the eyes and the face in general. the stockiness is also really nice, and I'm glad the tuft of hair is gone - it made the old one seem a bit too cartoony, in my opinion. as someone who's never showed much interest in the species before, I can definitely see myself owning quite a few of them after this revamp! great work. :D would anyone happen to know who the artist is?
I love the art on the new version - the only problem I have with it is that it seems to be missing a bit of the 'clever' personality and feel of the old. Still, those stripes are to die for. &;

Oh, to anyone saying it looks "too bulk to be female pet" or whatever. I think real-life female tigers would be offended to hear what you people are saying here, really. Just google for their pictures.
Gah, it's so fierce, powerful, and beauitful! It seems a lot more masculine now, but I don't really think that's a bad thing. I really really like it.
I'm a fan of the art, not a fan of the changes. The tigrean always looked sort of smug/intelligent and sleek to me, but the revamp just looks sort of brutish? Big and heavy and thick and slow. The art is gorgeous though!
I miss the head tuff, the eyes seem too small, and I don't think the stripes going into the white look that good. I'd prefer a more direct revamp of the older one. :C It could use a update, but not this.

I don't like how the face of the new one looks so FAT! Face is too fat, the ears are too tiny, eyes are WAY too small and the features look all masculine instead of it being able to work for both genders. I like the body of the new one, but the face needs work...MAJOR work. If you put the old Tigrean face on the new body, it'd be perfect
Other than preferring a slightly sleeker frame, I like that this revamp doesn't look like a kitten anymore. I know some people prefer that look, but if I am gonna adopt a pet...I am gonna have the new one, not the current Tigrean. In fact it's the current Tigrean art that has kept me from adopting one, too cute little kitten-y. Whatever else is said, my vote's for the new one, slimmed a bit.

It's a nice revamp, just... the cheeks seem a little way too big? And the ears just a tad too pointy... But, putting the stubby cheeks aside, it looks great!
I love the new one so much I would conciser having it as my pet! I would also love to see Archan revamped. Make it more realistic, pweeez ❤

The art is lovely, but I like a lot of the features of the old Tigrean better. Like how it's not overly muscular. New one looks too masculine to me. I can't see it as a female pet, whereas the old one I can easily think of as male or female.
Also prefer the old Tigrean's eyes and ears, and I love how it doesn't look like a tiger, but rather a mix of different big cats.
Ugh, that's just gorgeous. Initially it looked masculine to me (and my tigrean is female), but after coming back to it a few minutes later I no longer have that issue. Love it.

I honestly like the old one better. It seems the new one is trying to hard to look more realistic than it needs to. We are on a website where people annually become zombies, travel to outer space to shop, and converse with good and evil spirits...it seems that the desire to have things look more realistic isn't a necessity.
As for critique...
Cons: The eyes on the new one are a bit too..small It's suddenly become bald (lost the tuft on it's head, which I think gave it a spark of attitude not really present on the newer version) and it seems to be in an awkward stance. I'm not sure if the artist perhaps had trouble drawing it in that stance, or if the anatomy is off...but the pose strikes the eye in an awkward way. In fact it strikes me now that it looks more like a Male...it would be hard to imagine a female of that creature. it's too bulky. The claws on the back haunches seem...awkward too. They don't look as hooked or sharp as the originals. The new texture of the fur is a bit... off-putting. It seems too ragged? or perhaps wet? ...it hangs in a way I do not particularly care for.
Pros:
I do like the new stripes they are gorgeous.
The lines are super clean, and despite the bulk, it does look like a very nice tiger.
The tail is particularly nice, I'm not sure why but I love that depiction of the tail...yeah I'm weird I know.
as I mentioned, it does more resemble a realistic depiction of a tiger (as far as caricatures/cartoons go.) and it is a lovely piece...just not exactly what I would prefer. I'd be pretty sad if my own tigrean turned into that...but I suppose I can always pick a different creature if it does.
Perhaps with all the revamps you could create potions that allow for the older depictions of pets on the site? Or the option to pick between which is displayed for a person at a given time.
Finally made up my mind and voted for the new one.
Despite it's different vibe, I am usually very fond of Beans artwork, and I am positive that they will be able to balance this new version a little more out.

Art and design-wise, I think this is one great looking tiger-beast. The only suggestions I'd make are minor - namely I think the stripes on its side are a bit too close together and look like ribs at first glance, that I think the extra little white stripe on the sides of the head makes the face look a bit too busy, and I think larger ears would look nicer, and I wish the 'wing' markings were a little more obviously wing-like since I think that's one of the main things in the design that stops it from looking like a plain old tiger.
As an update of the Tigrean, though, I'm not quite so taken. Even though the old one had chunky limbs and big feet the overall impression was very sleek-looking, while the new one somehow looks a lot bulkier even though most of the body dimensions haven't been altered much. This isn't necessarily a bad change, but we already have a bulky, manly big-cat pet in the Archan. I think I'd like this Tigrean a lot more if the chest was less deep, and the neck and head a little thinner.
That said, I do think this is a really good design, and I'll be happy if it goes through as is.
I like the art of the new one and don't mind the bulkiness, but I feel like the body should be a little longer. The proportion seems slightly off. Other than that, the art is beautiful.
The new art is fantastic! I've never had an opinion either way about the Tigrean in general, but the new design definitely changes my opinion. I love the more realistic anatomy and just overall I love it. ❤
Oh, and btw, I think we have enough kitty-cat cats on site (feli? keto? celinox? some people even consider montre or jollin cat-like) so I'm enjoying this change.
I personally really don't like the revamp. I prefer the sleeker and more clean cut current tigrean. I think that it somewhat follows a different art style and is a little too realistic. The nose makes it look too masculine while the older one manages to pull off a gender neutral style. Perhaps if the shaggy and bulkiness were removed, as well as the face to be similar to the old, it could be pulled off :)
I like how it's more realistic but I can't help but feel it's just way too masculine. I like masculine pets and all but it REALLY loses the character it originally had. Plus I think someone else pointed out that the anatomy is off. I also think a lot of people would be unhappy if their reborn/glacier/darkmatter/bloodred tigrean changed so much.
I love tigers, but I personally think a different cat should be used for the overall body, especially the head/face. A sleeker cat would work better IMO. Maybe a cougar?
If you wanted to do something like this, it'd be better to do it on archan, not tigrean.
The new tigrean is gorgeous but I do not like the paws. They are too wide and flat looking. Four digits are good but they look nothing like real tiger paws. They should be a decent size but also graceful and delicate looking. The eyes are very lovely but they could be a little more fierce. The last thing I noticed that seemed off would be the back legs. The body needs to either be longer or the back legs a little more thick. Besides those three points, the art is a nice improvement.

The new version doesn't look feminine nor masculine to me. I like how the new neck isn't so bottlenecked/scrawny (ugh the one on the old one); also shalashaska's note on stomach anatomy.

No, please keep the tuft of fur off. :( I feel that's one of the biggest things that makes the other so cartoon-y, and I love that Subeta has more realistic pets.

The new nose looks way off to me :/ The face seems flattened. Love the markings though.

Interesting, But no. I don't like the face. Looks like he's on steroids, and also it looks completely male. I really don't like it. The paws don't fit. The neck is far too thick. The body doesn't flow together well. If this one is going to go through, PLEASE make some major changes.
The butt, the tail, the design of the new stripes, and the lack of head fluff are the things I like. Please make the face more neutral.
I love the newer version, the markings are amazing! Love the head just as it is. The toes bother me though, I think they're too small. And the front left paw seems a bit wrong.... it's too straight, kinda melds into the leg, like there's no wrist. Or at least it doesn't give the appearance of one. Otherwise it's lovely :)
