Over 18 years ago I fell in love with a Baby Keeper :) I wanted one so bad, but it was more then 8 millions back then, a fortune I thought I could never achieve :) And a wonderful user just gifted it to me. I am overwhelmed till today and I also gained one of the most wonderful friends around <3 I'm eternaly grateful for this friendship and the lessons I've learned from it :)

My Subeta Memory

I started playing Subeta many years ago with my daughter. When I returned a little over 2 years ago I could not recover my account. I don't remember much about the site from long ago, so I only have 2 years of memories at this point lol. So far my favorite memory is Luminaire. Other users are so generous and it's such a fun thing to do, giving and receiving gifts.

I'm coming up on 20 years with Subeta and I still remember the first time I was able to restock a Rainbear. I was so thrilled to nab such a cute, high rarity item. I stared at it for what seemed like forever. It was worth a lot more sp back then, but I still think it's one of the cutest items on site.

Something I'd Love to See

I'd love to see the plots repeated. I'm sure we'd all love new plots, but that seems not achievable yet. The older plots happened so long ago that many users haven't experienced them and some (like me) may have missed some during less active periods. Plots are engaging and fun and I don't care if a couple of users use old information to try to game it so they "win." They're fun and diverting and break up the (still enjoyable) monotony of just checking in for our dailies.

I essentially grew up with Subeta. I'm a different person than the one who started playing almost 20 years ago and it is remarkable to me that I still enjoy it. I think that's a testament to the work and passion and love you've put into it. I am so grateful to you for 20 years of being my companion through some very dark times and some really wonderful ones. Thank you for still being there for me. ❤

I can't pick just one! I have so many.

Through Subeta I've made many wonderful new friends, including some I've had for years now. You know who you all are. <3

I loved the plots. The Jaxon and Ian storyline is my favorite, and I had so much fun during the snowman-building contest (Team BFFs!).

Completing my Charlie collection for the first time was such a wonderful feeling. With every new Charlie item released I get to complete it again and again.

Building my first Steamwork pet, Loose Sprocket, was my first completed major goal on the site. I was (and am!) so happy to have them!

The Nostalgic Charlie was a dream come true, combining my favorite Subeta pet with a favorite childhood toy. I had to make a Nostalgic Charlie the day it was released. :)

I look forward to making many more memories!

Something I'd Love to See

I'd love to see an Aurora color, something eye-catching that has the same colors as the palette. I've had a pet idea with that color for ages. I thought of making a custom, but if there's a chance this color might be real one day...that'd be amazing!

I'd also love to see a Telenine revamp, a Celinox revamp, and some Charlies updated to match the current art/wings! Additionally, if the Angelic Montre is ever revamped, I hope it matches the original art exactly and keeps its mouth.

i remember the first year the zombie viruses showed up, and how proud I was for avoiding catching any of them 🤣 The next year I got Butterfly Bruise and refused to cure it or catch anything different in subsequent years (until they were converted into skins in 2015).

I'd love to see more plots or as suggested a redo or reworking of the old ones. Newer players might enjoy what long time players have had and enjoyed. This little corner of the internet has given so many people pleasure over the years. I hope it will continue for many more years.

I have been playing Subeta for just under 8 years. When I started I was going through a tough time in my personal life. I started in December of my first year playing. My favorite memory was that first Lumi. I had made about 5-6 friends by Lumi and opening their presents + gifting them and receiving gifts from other uses I hadn't met was so fun. Such great emotions still come up from that first Lumi.

I would LOVE to see a house feature or something that we can use furniture items for. I also would love a "baby" pet color of the baby New Years pet plushies in the New Years Shop. ❤

My Subeta Memory

I'm big on collecting so my fav memories are from working on and completing my trading card and beanbag collections! Also participating in boss battles, spending lots of time on stats/weapons/scrolls and strategies to finally beat certain challengers. Getting my first shriek from Nightlady, and always trying to get more lol. Being able to beat Rouland 10 times, participating in the gelly wars and being able to see my progress over multiple wars. Working together with friends in the forum and groups on all sorts of goals (ie: achievements, pet profiles, gourmand foods). Being able to pick sides and work as a team in plots like Pirates vs Islanders and the Blake Steele one with Saggi. Plus the fun time I had creating an ornament of a blob kitty for an official contest.

I'd like to be able to remove a discount card that was turned in on kumos, atleast while we're split between using the legacy and kumos sites. Also event-related NPCs popping up outside of their specific event such as random events or in the forums. I think an Oatmeal RE with positive messages would be really cute too.

I've been on this site a looooooooong time now, but I remember after some very unfortunate drama way back in.. Oh, '07? I think it was? And to thank and engage the userbase, there was a massive free shop spree where all sorts of fun things kept being added. My friends and I spent houuuuuuurs in the Free Shop talking about what we got and swapping items around and having a really good time! That was before I was staff, and I remember just being so blown away with the generosity of the site.

More customs! I'd love to just have custom items that don't need a wearable attached or custom minion overlays similar to custom pet overlays!

My most wished for feature would be something similar to when you go to feed a pet -- but for an item in their treasures. You know how right now it says "Feed Fen (they've eaten this already!)" or something? I'd love that for treasures SO much. That way we could still have more than one of the same item in a pet's treasures if we wanted, BUT for those of us like me who just... have poor memories, we could go "oh it's already there" and not find a double of it later.

I can think of so many. Many of my pets were born on special days IRL for me. I remember the thrill of the first Masquerade--a steampunk masquerade on the moon! I remember the fun Masquerade characters. The murder mystery. I hated the Omen Island plot that killed off Amy and am still bitter. Infestation is also the origin of my hatred for zombies; I hate how I participated in the original event and was still blocked from achievements. I remember working my way through collecting so many items. Beating Pete the first time in the Coliseum, that was a huge milestone. Beating the Nightlady the first time. Beating Sagittairus the first time. Beating through an entire 30 levels of Battle Quests. Meeting all the lovely people in The Neglected Ones and No Tree Left Behind. I remember winning the writing contest one summer--that was peak. I remember all the random summer things we did: Epicon and the fashion contest was great, the cruise was fine. The music festival was mediocre at best. I rememebr when Luminaire trees were only stockings. I remember playing Subeta alongside Valenth.

Pokedoll wearables of all the new Pokemon starters. More DnD style minis for pet collections. I'd LOVE to see a decorate-a-house feature though I doubt that would ever happen. Can some of the older plot prizes be moved to the Antique Shop? We still have currency spots for plots from a decade ago. I'd love to see Subeta NOT spread across three different sites. I'm worried about Subeta declining due to the decreasing amount of items: hardly anything new for Luminaire and then a teeny tiny new item release for New Years? I am worried. I kinda think battling could be streamlined so much; it's so confusing with icons and stats and weapons. I'd like to see quests NOT messed with. I'd LOVE to see recycling and fragging combined, with it working like fragging; recycling is so tedious. Is it true only more common minions drop from the bubbles in the Galaxian Waste? I'd LOVE to see that change so all minions drop. I'd love to see more pet species and new color varieties; I want a cuddly mammal to adopt. I am worried about the slowness in new pet releases. I'd love to see some type of plot or follow-up with whatever the heck is going on with Gunther, Bubbles, and his daughter. -Hey, could we have Valenth-inspired pets?

I love Subeta, I truly do. But it seems to be in a weird limbo with events and items being less and less, and I am worried.

I have to say the 2010 Masquerade event is my fondest memory. It was a year after I joined, and I will admit, I just came over from Neopets and was not around to really feel grounded here. In fact, I missed most of the events the first year I joined since I didn't know that this site did any. In 2010, I managed to do all the holiday events, but it was the Masquerade that really got my attention. The murder of Vernon Yun and the questioning of the possible suspects remains a vivid memory to this day. It was fun to not only dance with other users but also to unlock more of the mystery.

Love to see the Holiday Shop make a comeback. It was a neat shop for Luminaire, but I think it has potential outside of just the one holiday. Perhaps the Hustler could run it occasionally with a mix of common and rare items?

Okay that's just unfair. Pick Your favorite memory. I have truck load of favorite memories on this site. Events, friends I meet, conversations with other players, my pets...A bunch of stuff.

Hard to pick one, but I'll go with a classic. Morostide of 2009. Both of my sisters and me were playing Subeta round that time and we made our own little contest. How ever collected the most tick-or-treat and Pumpkin Patch items get a King Size candy bar of their choice from the losers' candy bag. I won, but I really wasn't happy about the candy. I was more upset that my sisters didn't get all the 2009 Morostide items. So I made of list of items that they didn't have in their accounts and went back into my vault to find the items. When I found the extra items I sent them to my sisters as gifts. The awesome batches, v-necks, hair clips, buckets, scarecrow dolls, and the Rag Dolls.

I can still here their laughters filling up the room.

More weapons appear back in the Crystal Shop. I would love to see these items back in the shop. Reflection Blade, Dark Goddess Rod, Shinwas Short Sword, and Lucent.

I'm going to share two, but there are so many more.

1. I joined the site in a wave of draconian nonsense happening on a different site, one that wouldn't allow me to express things about my life, but allowed bullies to express things about their own lives. One that had been created for adults, but traded in those who built the site for profits. I was over it and found Subeta. The love was instant. I felt comfortable, respected, accepted, etc. And I felt like it was okay to be an adult in the space again. I have felt more at home here than I ever did there, and Keith, Amber, and the whole team over the years has done an incredible job maintaining a community.
2. Real life projects. I was already in my thirties the year we got a series of real world contests, and I couldn't have loved it more. We made jack o'lanterns, ornaments, cakes. I adored it. It was also a hard time of my life, so having these crafts to distract me was really appreciated.

Something I'd Love to See

1. Merch. I don't know how feesable it is because I know the staff would only accept the best, but if I could buy a t-shirt or some stickers or a mug every once in a while, I'd gladly do it. Subeta brings me joy, but also it's a different way to support the site. I know there was merch long, long in the history of the site, but I'd love to see that again. POD seems feesable, but also I know quality can be difficult to control. Just a thought.
2. A new color. I have a million and one ideas for colors, but I'll be brief. A Morostide costumed color, Sweetie Dead, Peppermint, or if you're feeling really fancy stackable colors like a Dawn Nostalgic. I know, I know, that last one would be a ton of work.
3. Plots. I know everyone wants plots. I also know plots take time to develop. But I do love a plot.
4. My pet family is always maxxed out, but I would like everyone to get access to those Bhakorus.
5. Activities if there is time. While I enjoyed the real world contests, I can't imagine how time consuming those kids of projects are to manage. It'd be fun, but I get it.
6. Possum Lurby? Where is this friend?

Y'all are amazing. I say it often. I say it too often. You know I appreciate you. Amazing work! I cannot believe the site is 21. I can't believe I've been on it for 15 of those years!

Edit: I forgot to add that I'd love a way to freeze a pet so it won't show up in lists or gain stats. Sometimes they are just done for a while.

My first post didn't take! My favorite memories are the friends I've made on this site. I've made some truly wonderful friends that at this point in life, I'm not sure what I would do without them.

Like so many, I'd love to see plots return. I'd love to see something of a crossover event/plot. During Survivial we get to sign up for a secret admirer and we don't get to meet them until Masq, bit of a silly one there, but my point is, I'd love to see a plot involve all our holidays, something year long. LOL, I just love plots. I want any plot, short plot, long plot, just give us some plots!

I really love how welcoming this site is. Even though I'm a bit on the shy side on the forums, never once have I ever been shunned or shot down when I've asked for help or clarification. Like someone else said a few posts above me, I like seeing how many people are online as it makes me feel like I'm not alone. I like knowing that I'm playing with all of you.

it's hard to dwindle down to just one memory, but i'm happy for the friends i've made on this site and the joy i've shared with others. being able to make new friends and bring existing friends over to a site i enjoy means a lot to me!

Not going to lie, I got I got a little teary eyed thinking of my favorite moments over the years. Like others, Subeta has been a part of my life through so many stages and no matter how busy life gets I always love coming back to see how things are going and take part in events if I can.

First things that come to mind: -I fell in love with the art and customization options available when I first started and remember being excited there were people that exchanged their hard work for avatars, profile and forum graphics, character designs, etc. Along with that, the oekaki! I just love art and seeing what other people make. :) -Omen Islands plot was so much fun, pretty much any of the plots in general. I always love logging on for the day to see what updates there were or people helping each other. -The original release of Human Avatars was a crazy time with everyone trying to figure out what items were wearable or not. Also the evolution of the whole feature with people figuring out layering tricks. -The shoutbox/mIRC: Where I met most of my online friends at the time. Having that little space to quickly chat while interacting with the site made everything more fun.

Something I'd Love to See

I know a lot goes into plots and a full scale one would be a lot of rescources and time but anything like that would be fun to take part in again. Maybe even if it was something self paced so a busy week irl wont take away from the ability to participate.

A bit of a broad "want" but for Subeta to continue to be a place for artists and creatives. The creativity of Subeta from its team to its users shaped my own art and development in so many ways and I'd love to see anything that continues that inspiration for others. Especially with the way the world and the internet are now.

My favorite memory was not on the site itself but in an IRC channel that a group of us formed after migrating from another virtual pet site. I made such great friends, some of whom I ended up meeting in person. Staying connected with a wonderful group of similar-aged ladies that had the same affinity for this specific type of online gaming has been so fun. When one of our group died a few years back, it was incredibly heartwarming to see that even though our online friendship had been closer years back than it has been lately that we were still able to come together and be there for each other and for the family of the one that had passed.

I'd love to see a plot again, though hopefully not like the ones on another site that require daily, in-depth activity.

If I had to pick one thing, probably Emma and Esther's wedding! It was so heartwarming and sweet and I love the way the Subeta universe has grown and changed over time. Plus Vesnali is one of my favorite events.

Something I'd Love to See

A nice to have feature on Kumos would be being able to see and move items requested on a quest if you already have them. Like if you have an item in your shop or vault, being able to move it to inventory and submit it to the quest easily would be nice.

Even though I am a sporadic user these days, I have a lot of happy memories of logging in, dressing up my avatar, chatting in the forums, and enjoying the Subeta world! It is so nice to come back and see how much care and devotion is still put into maintaining Subeta.
