I obviously don't know what is or isn't true, but one thing that IS DEFINITELY true is that she's got something fishy going on. I mean, I get not wanting anyone to be with me, I wouldn't have wanted my mother in law, or even my mother, with me at all.. but I would have wanted my HUSBAND?!

Yeah but mieke, part of the whole reason of coming out here was so I could be with her since Shane couldn't. She could have chosen to stay and have her step mom or step sister or even a friend that she had in Texas. But she said she would be more comfortable coming and being here with me so I could be right there with her when it was time instead of having to wait on someone to get there. But apparently she didnt really want that.

And yeah. I am trying to reconcile myself to not knowing with that sentiment. One way or the other I have lost what was expected, a grandchild 😢

Open house went well. We managed to get to see all our kids...the last one walked in just after they made the announcement for all parents to leave so teachers can go home. But the kids for the most part seemed sweet and well mannered ..except the twins who I already knew would be a handful since we had their cousin and their older brother was in the class next door two years ago. So we've seen them about in the school and already knew how they acted. They aren't bad, just very busy and wild lol We also have the younger sister of the twins cousin ( the cousin we had in preK). We have several siblings this year, a few I didn't even realize we'd had their older siblings!! I love getting siblings. I was very sad to not have gotten one sibling, she is in the class next door. The little boy we had and his older brother were darling so I can't imagine the sister not being the same.

[edit] Friday Aug 2 I have been attempting to log in and do my mandatory training for the past two/three days and keep getting error pages. UGH I guess I am going to have to see the media specialist or the tech people at school and see if they can help. My lead teacher is getting the same error message as me, but the teachers next door have been able to get to it.

Oh I wanted to add, has anyone ever heard the name Leegan before? That I think is my most unusual name in the class this year. We also have Zekeyus and Jeaniyah (Zeke, and 'Niyah). The rest of the class has more ... hmm ... usual? classic? traditional? Older? .... types of names. Jacob, Jason. Olivia, Kaitlyn, Charlotte, Zoe, Blake, Delilah etc

I've never heard of any of the three top names.

Did you get your training done?

Iz and I were so productive today.. we made a chocolate chip zucchini cake, then while that was baking I made the brown butter for the frosting and scrubbed the front of the stove, the cupboards on either side, Iz swept the kitchen, and then we cleaned off and scrubbed the front and side of the fridge together.

Made the rest of the brown butter cream cheese frosting and then gave the cats flea pills and combed them. She's got pottery again this week now.

No training done, but we got an email today saying they fixed it and it should be open so we can go do it.

I've never heard of Zekeyus or Jeaniyah before either, but there are always a few names like that. Let me just say that certain parents do use more unusual names than others and leave it at that ... I sometimes enjoy seeing the creative names. Some others I am just going ... why?

Ooh cake. Yum. We have a birthday in class tomorrow. Our youngest student turns 4. All the rest of the birthdays, our students will be turning 5. (The next ones aren't until in or after September, the cutoff month). Mom sent a message today to ask if she could bring special snacks or cupcakes or something tomorrow. SURE! We totally want them sugared up on the 2nd day of school!! LOL But yes, bring something to share for your child's birthday, we really do not mind.

Today went quite well over all - however I will say I am most likely to talk about Jason, Leegan and Delilah :P They would NOT stay sitting down, stop getting into toys, or listen to directions very well, more so than the rest of the kids, although it was NOTHING like last year. Just, "oooooh new things, I want to play with them", and "Teacher I wanna talk"!! type of situation lol I am hopeful they'll settle down.

The cake is REALLY good!

I dropped Iz off at pottery and went over to my dads house and hopped in the pool for an hour. I honestly don't remember the last time I was alone that I wasn't in the car going to run errands, running errands, or at work.. like.. I don't remember the last time I was alone and had nothing to do or time to relax or something.

But! It was SO. NICE. Apparently I really just needed some alone time :P

Meh. Around the house is ok I guess. She stays 90% of the time in the bedroom with the door shut. With the puppy more often lately, but that might be because I started leaving the dogs alone in the front to do some stuff for myself back here and the puppy whines and jumps at the gate if there isn't a person up there Didn't hear anything else about them getting a place but will bring it up with Shane if I don't hear about it this by this weekend Since I was told they were going to sign Friday and move this upcoming weekend but I have no idea if they went to sign anything I do know they at least went to the DMV and Shane got his licence switched back to GA They did pay me rent Friday plus rent from last week amount too. So I marked that off on my checklist of payment.

I keep trying not to think about it or anything ... But I looked at stuff again and realized there was no Dr signature, just a name. And when looking online, that person named is listed as working at a wellstar hospital in Alpharetta not Griffin :/ Also I searched and found blank fetal death papers available online that if you have Adobe you can fill them out yourself (that's the one with the Dr name but no signature) And found the wellstar papers for late pregnancy loss online as well.

Nathan had his birthday, I posted a few pictures on Facebook. I can't believe my baby is 18!!! I gave him some cash and an IOU that says when I get another car and he has a job/can pay gas and insurance I'll do a title transfer and put the Mazda in his name if he wants it. I'm about to start kicking his butt after tomorrow since Asher goes home tomorrow and he better be getting a JOB asap after that!

850pm Phew FINALLY finished my mandatory training modules. Got only 1 question wrong in 1 module. Yay me! I am so tired. Trying to not fall asleep quite yet

[edit] 615am Tuesday Aug 6 So the other day (don't remember if I mentioned it) my college book order got cancelled, I could not figure out why, so I emailed the book store. They said it was possibly due to enrollment change or other changes by a teacher/admin. And to go to where I ordered my books and reorder any I need now. Well there aren't any listed now? 2 books just up and disappeared off the list? All my classes are the same, I still have the 1 e-book that I had before, but no hard copy books and no books listed for FOUR of my classes. Guess I'll just check back daily until class starts to see if any books come available to order! And then check with the teachers. WEIRD.

I miss my kids being Iz's age hahah but also I am glad they are not in school anymore. But its also weird to NOT have any in school now. I mean ok, Katie is in college and that is school. But this is her last semester and she's NOT living at home anyway, so its not like she's at school here you know? I am going to have to make Nathan do some crap around here. I TOLD him to take the trash off yesterday or today and ALL day today he had the car and the trash is STILL not taken off, so when he gets home from taking Asher to the bus stop, guess what he is being told to do? Dump is closed tomorrow so it HAS to go today before 7pm!!! And - I wanna see my baby girl. Enjoy your time with your girls while you can (I know you do!!) I need to plan a weekend trip or something I guess. But it probably won't be unless/until I go get my new-to-me car from my brother :P

Some days all I do is the bathhouse, other days I can get all my quests done. Depends on my mood and what else is going on!

[edit] Eh. I can't seem to win for losing? I mean, this is a good thing I guess unless it screws me next month or at any other time in the future. But ya'll know all that nonsense with my home owners and the escrow account and how I had to get a refund check and return it to the escrow? I did all that. But then I just went to check my bank balance and saw that my mortgage payment was only $606 this month - its on auto pay and supposed to be $731. My statement says my Sept payment is also supposed to be $606. (My statement I received, that was mailed BEFORE I made that escrow refund payment and before the autopayment, says my payment was supposed to be $731 like normal for August, but only $606 was taken on the autopay). So I am a little confused now. sigh I mean I'd be more than happy to have a $606 payment instead of a $731, but it shouldn't have changed just because an amount was removed and then refunded into escrow. I will wait and see what actually happens next month before I call and ask about it. I don't want to end up owing $ because their autopay amount was screwed up after all. (even tho it'd be THEIR fault!)

And yeah.. El has a job in the summer (and September and October on the weekends), and also dog sits, house sits, and babysits :P

And Lily is only 16 and is in ALL the things, and even she has a job! Though it'll only be 4-8 hours during the school year, but STILL!

Some kids are more motivated to get a job I guess. Shane got one because he wanted money he could spend on his own, plus he wanted to save up for a car he wanted. Katie got a job because she wanted to get herself a car (we couldn't and I still feel bad about that, but our situation had changed from Shane to her, and has changed again from her to Nathan)....

Nathan hasn't wanted to get a job partly because he's lazy (well sort of! He isn't if he is motivated, so maybe I shoud just say he isn't motivated) and partly because everything has been gotten for him that he's wanted. (not that he's wanted a lot honestly) But if I am not buying him monsters and snacks and sodas, well, he's going to want those and need $ for them haha! I do want him to be able to pay for gas and insurance on the car before I sign it over to him. I figure if he is paying for it, it should be in his name. I do want to ask first if it being in his name, if it will cost him more even with it being on my policy. If so, I might see if he just wants to leave it alone for now and eventually change the title later when it won't cost him more $ as he'll be older. AND yes, He needs to do more around the house. I gotta talk to him again about that crap. I mean, is it that hard to load the dishwasher or take out the trash? I'm not asking you to scour the whole house!! Maybe I should just charge him hahahah $5 per load of laundry, washed, dried, folded. $5 a week for clean dishes. $1 a day for feeding your dog, etc

Oh yes, also I am not having such great luck renting out rooms already now am I? And that is to family. I don't know that I would want to even attempt to rent to strangers :P Now maybe if I was desperate or something I might try it. And if they took some of my stuff when they move out, I probably wouldn't miss it. And if I did, I'd just go buy whatever it was. Unless it was sentimental, which my "stuff" that they can get to isn't really like that. Take my pots? Fine. Take some of my dishes? Whatever. Take my food processor? Ok fine, I'll get a new one. :P Take some of my food ? Eh. I'm not arguing is it yours or mine. Just go. Take my pictures off my wall? You are dead. Yeah, Lily loves to spend money, and I just.. have NOTHING to give her anymore really. Like.. we are BROKE BROKE right now. So whatever she wants, she's going to have to buy. We bought the school supplies she NEEDS, but like.. she has two dressers full of clothes, she doesnt' need anything else, even from the thrift store... though I did pick her up a sports bra today from goodwill while I was there LOL. I was looking for black pants for work, but no luck. :(

But yes, DEFINITELY chores, at least! I have to harass the kids to do their chores sometimes, but at least they DO do them!

Substitute teacher today. My lead teacher is moving her oldest daughter into a college dorm today. I'm glad the group is pretty good because this is early to have a sub! Jason is going to drive us bonkers during naptime unless we find something else for him to do ... not only does he NOT sleep, he does NOT stay still and does NOT stay quiet. We have him over in a corner completely by himself, surrounded by shelves and things so that he cannot even SEE anyone else and he is rolling around, jumping up and down, and babbling to himself, or calling out our names or another childs name, throwing his stuffy around (yep, he's lost that a few times already!) and is NOT quiet or still at all for the ENTIRE TIME (45-60min!) There are 2-3 others who have not gone to sleep, but they sit or lay on the mat and are quiet after we tell them once or twice. NOT JASON!!

[Edit] 6pm Well my new table and chairs got here and are put together except one chair because I am missing one screw. I don't know if it was missing to begin with or the puppy ate it. I took three screws out of her mouth as I worked. Dumb dog. Didn't think it thru tho ... I have no place to put the old table lol except the back house and I don't want to put it there. I guess when Shane moves out I can put it in the middle room. I don't want to throw it out because Ryan made the table top and I can always use another table for like Christmas or other family visits

[edit] Monday Aug 12th 415pm So I went ahead and called Mr Cooper about my mortgage. They said they will run an escrow analysis and update my payment to make sure I am making the correct payment amount. And then I logged into my college platform and found out that a teacher added a book (oh of course they did, less than a week before classes start, AFTER the books were cancelled) I hope the other teacher/s doesn't add any more books because then I'll get more shipping costs. But whatever I guess. I have to have my books. I do finally have teachers for my classes now (before there were only like 1 teacher or no teacher listed) TWO of my classes are by the same teacher (1st 8 weeks, 2nd 8 weeks) and that teacher is my advisor, who never responded to my emails last semester or over the summer, so yay for that I guess :/ It appears that most of my classes are now ONLY online, but who knows and that may have been the cause of my book order cancellation, going from blended class to online only (or maybe teacher change?) but if I still need the book, I still need the book, so I dunno....ONLY online means zoom meetings instead of in person classes occasionally. Yay? Maybe? I dunno. I did fine last semester - I'm a little confused tho because one class says delivery "online" like the others do but then lists a building and classroom?

OH YEAH! Today in the mail I got a document/certficate stating I made the "Presidents" list at Mercer. So yay? :P I guess for my all As last semester.
