Well I dunno if the puppy whined when they went to bed or not, she didn't wake me. I didn't hear her whine at all until about 630, after I was already awake but still in bed :) Out in the living room again in the cage. So I think she'll adjust lol She is in here with me right now because I don't want to hear her whining or playing with Belle this morning with no one watching them and I want to be in here on my desk doing things lol

[edit] 1255 Finally remembered I needed/wanted to contact the mortgage company about the home owners insurance. I had gotten a notice in MAY that they paid the insurance. Then I got a notice in JUNE that they paid the insurance. Now I wondered that the 2nd payment may have been due to that glitch or whatever where the insurance told me it had been cancelled somehow but they reinstated it? But I have NOT gotten any type of refund, check to me OR to the mortgage escrow account showing a repayment of that FIRST payment in MAY. AND when I got an email notification about the 2nd payment being paid, it also stated that my "next disbursement" would be JULY 4 !!! WHAT? No reason for a THIRD payment even if there was for the 2nd So I got put on hold for the person I got ahold of to talk to my insurance company AND then I got hung up somehow sigh Waiting to see if they call me back. Because we haven't even gotten to the July 4th payment yet...other than me mentioning that I got an email stating there would be a disbursement then. She started by checking the payments and seeing that there were 2 payments made, noticed the policy cancellation, and noted that the 2nd payment had not completed its "7-10 business day" process of whatever. (meaning maybe the insurance company hasn't deposited the check yet? I dunno!! But they already had deposited the FIRST check so they shouldn't have deposited the 2nd or should have returned the funds from the 1st check) I would also like to point out that somehow there is also like a $50 difference (increase) between these two payments, like REALLY? WHY? WEIRD!

You've got some really weird stuff going on there with the homeowners, Kat! I hope you get it figured out. :(

Hi mieke! They never called back so I called again. There was a note left on my account to call again on Monday after the holiday due to my insurance agency being closed, so they couldn't talk to them. So then I checked into the July 4 disbursement notice and they connected me to someone in escrow for that who said they didn't have any more disbursements scheduled. Argh. So I guess I will try to sort out the double payment on Tuesday because I work a full day as sub on Monday but only half a day Tuesday.

Belle completely destroyed one of Daisy's toys this morning. Chews the nose and eyes off and then yanked all the stuffing out of the hole in it's head. She never touched her own toys for the past two/three years. Weird dog.

[edit] Morning all Did everyone in the US have a good 4th? I invited my neighbor over to watch ours, but then we ended up using part of her driveway instead because I'd forgotten the stupid security light at my house, so it wasn't really very dark for me here :P Nathan had invited a friend and that friends girlfriend over - tho he had to go pick them up and take them home again. Eh. We had hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch, and pork ribs/yeast rolls for dinner. Oh boy. Nothing elaborate hahahah but we enjoyed it. I also played games off & on all afternoon with my neighbor.

ALSO OMG ENTITLED MUCH?? I explained to him what I had figured out reasonably to charge him for rent, explaining what it INCLUDED (the bills are mortgage, power, water, internet and orkin) and how much I was going to ask him to pay for him/anna. He asked if Nathan was going to be paying me, and yes, but this amount - because Shane and Anna is slightly more than what I calculated for Nathan because LESS power and LESS water used for 2 people than for 4 people. AND I only estimated an increased amount - it could be more, it could be less. "Well I feel I am being targeted for making more money than you and Nathan since I am having to pay more, I know you aren't targeting me, but I feel targeted" WTF KID? I am literally saving you HUNDREDS of dollars on rent/power/water/internet and you want to complain that I decided to charge your brother $15 ($30 total for Shane as its $15 per person and Shane has to pay for himself/Anna) less than you a week??? OMG. And I thought this would work out but not if he is going to be an ass about it. I mean I COULD charge Nathan the same, but the INCREASED amount is due to the fact THIER usage will increase those specific bills!!! I THOUGHT it made sense! and was fair that way. AM I WRONG?

AND the stupid idiot (I am so bad calling my kid names but HONESTLY!!) asks me if this amount will include the money he borrowed from me too? NO???? WHY would he think that? That is a completely separate thing!! THIS was only about "rent" for living here.

The few people I've talked to that also charged their grown adult kids rent for living with them told me they charged their kid WAY more than I am suggesting per week for ONE person, let alone TWO! So like I think I am being REALLY reasonable anyway because I don't want to take all his $ - I want him to be able to pay off his debts, credit cards AND to be able to save to get a better car or his own place to rent if/when he decides to do that. ALSO because I know how much a baby costs and they DON'T Because they've had so much just GIVEN to them for the baby that they didn't have to buy. AND I have no idea what the hospital/dr debt will be in the end either. ARRRGGGGGGHHHHH

They are still idiots (to me) for trying to get prices for her car right now. But he also realized he can't do anything until he gets some paychecks and has some sort of down payment on another car even WITH trading hers in - so... yeah. Hopefully they will settle down and stop being so freaking annoying lol I get where they are coming from, they are worried about having the baby in a car that breaks down...but come on. You have to have a job and money to even THINK about getting a different car! SHEEESH.

Ugh Kat, i was going to ask how it was going but sounds like.. not great! Glad you've got it figured it out and such though, and that he got his head out of his ass a bit!

We were going to charge D $200-300 a month to live here, though she'd have to share a room. But that would include everything except treats that she'd have to buy herself.

And ughhh, yeah, sure, you don't want a newborn in a car that's going to break down but like.. you need to have SOME kind of car, and SOME kind of income first! Like.. do they realize HOW MANY DIAPERS they'll go through a week?!

Also we didn't do ANYTHING on the 4th, on the 3rd Lily went with Sean to the fireworks, and we did some little ones here and had s'mores. Matt came over, it was a good time!

This week Isabelle has pottery every afternoon from 4-5:30, so that'll be fun :P

AND. GUESS WHAT. Speaking of cars. Mine is now officially legal, Alex replaced the shocks and struts yesterday, I got the two front tires today and brought it back to the garage and they put the sticker one. So that's 1/3. Technically Els car is still legal, she just needs it inspected before the end of the month.

AND. GOOD NEWS. One of the "full time" people at the school decided to go be an aide at the elementary center, so there's a "full time" position available, and I reached out to the new boss and she said she'll send me the link as soon as she puts it up tomorrow, and that literally everyone has had nothing but great things to say about it, and that two people reached out to her before I did to say to ask me!

AND I talked to Lynne (my MiL), who's the head of the SPRC (staff/parish relations committee), and she thinks that the church will actually just let me keep my job and change the hours?! So it'd be 9-1:30 at the school m-f (well, when there's school ofc), and then still 6 hours at the church... which would be great!

I know I've talked before about being in debt (and Alex doesn't really know, which is even worse :/) but this will DEFINITELY help! AND I'll still be able to do all my other stuff! Even if I couldn't keep the church job, this would still be SO much more money, even though it pays a little less.

Hi mieke. Yeah it's not been horrible but still figuring some things out So my thought process was, what are my bills NOW with just me and Nathan? If I divide that by 4 people since 4 people will soon be living here, Nathan will pay that amount. ($60 per week more or less). Then I said BUT these 2 bills will go up. So estimate an increase...and Shane and Anna will pay this much each ($75 each per week, so $150 for both). So for Shane and Anna I was asking $600 a month which includes power, water, internet, pest control and 2 bedrooms. Plus access to the kitchen and living room of course. They would still be responsible for their own food/drinks and dog and baby stuff.

I am glad I don't have to deal with the whole emissions stuff where I live. Probably will have to eventually. Ohh I hope you can get the job at the school!! That sounds great and if you can keep the church job too, that's even better!!! I think it's great you had people tell her to ask you!! That's awesome!!

Lost my two half days. Oh well. She said they only had 4 kids total show up at the other school (all my jobs so far have been at JRE but the 2 half days were going to be at the other one, Orrs). So yeah. No extra help needed if you only have 4 kids between 2 classrooms lol There were 8 kids here today in this classroom, one went home after throwing up leaving us with 7. I think there were around 8 in the other class as well

New York doesn't have inspections either, and they don't have any issue. here, you see fake inspection stickers noted on the police pages all the time. Fake registrations, too, even though we don't even have stickers for those anymore.

Did you address the puppy whining vs their heavy sleeping? Have they steppped up with the puppy. They may find that having a puppy and a new baby to be a very trying situation.

I mean, that logic wouldn't work for me either, because the money you spend is really going up the ladder to the people who own it. not the poor people working minimum wage working there. They'll get paid regardless of weather or not I shop there, but hopefully it's a little difference in the long run to other people, you know?

to be fair I didn't really think it would sway him LOL and mieke is right, the money does just go up the ladder too and the people who work there get paid regardless of if someone goes to that location or not - but yeah, your son will just have to come to his own real world conclusions. And this kind of silly (to me) stuff is why I don't bother with the news or politics because if I don't then I have no stress just doing what I want to do. If I want Wendy's I go get Wendy's...if I want DQ I get DQ. Firehouse, then I get Firehouse. I will be quite honest with you. I don't vote either. I know I should. BUT long ago I decided there was no point in voting for "bad" or "worse" so why bother? I never saw anyone I ever actually wanted to vote for. So I stopped.

The puppy adjusted quickly and now doesn't really whine, I have had her wake me once or twice early mornings since those first days, but she whines and then is quiet again so I go back to sleep. I guess this morning she was awful after I went to work tho hahahahahah :P (Bad me, evil laughing) So I got up at like 615, took a shower, let the dogs out, fed the dogs, put the puppy back outside (Belle refused to go and I know she won't pee the floor) before I left, and put both dogs back to "bed" before leaving...got told when I got home that after I left the dog started whining and then howling - And yet....they also said they didn't get OUT of bed to deal with the dog until after 8am. I left at 705am sigh Whatever. I wasn't home. I WARNED them I was going to work this morning....I then warned them again this evening that she would likely do the same when I begin going to work on the 24th. Know what? THEY better get their butts up and deal with the dog or go on listening to it whine and howl when they don't. I'm not about to let the puppy run loose in the house when no one is awake. I don't let Belle do that either. And yep, world of hurt coming up for when the baby is born and they gotta wake up 20x in the night and the dog goes nuts because the baby is up!! :P

Also more drama (is my house a drama magnet?) So Collins (company) called Shane, told him that they would prefer he NOT come in for orientation and work until AFTER the baby is born, since Anna is now only a week away from being due. Shane understood this, because he wants to be home for the birth and if he goes to work there is a chance he won't be. Anna freaked out and within 4 hours got herself a job at a local hotel - supposedly sitting and answering the phone/printing receipts etc. She SAYS they know she is pregnant and due soon. However she keeps stating that at her most recent dr apt the dr said it looked like the baby "may not come until later in the month" umm how the heck would he know that? BUT whatever. I sometimes wonder about what she says. Doctors KNOW babies come when they want. This baby could come NOW, it could come around its due date, it could come 3 weeks from now instead. WHO KNOWS. So I am a litle freaked out but I've also knows ladies who worked til the day the baby was born, so I get it, she's bored, she wants income, so she found an easy to do job since Shane isn't working....yet Shane doesn't want to lose this job, so he's doing what he's asked and waiting til after the baby is born. BUT I mean, gaaaaaaaaahhhhh this baby could be THREE weeks from being born still so like, REALLY? If I KNEW the baby was going to come by Sunday I'd be totally onboard for him to wait, but sheeeeeeesh. Not like I have a choice. His choice to agree to wait until after the baby is born.

Also if a 8 1/2m pregnant lady can get a job in 4hrs why can't my 17yr old? ARRGGGHHH him and his wanting to get jobs he's required to be 18 for. He damn well better get one the day he turns 18 :P

ANYWAY I finally got a reply from DECAL and since the online thing isn't working they told me exactly what to send in (and apparently no application needed, sheesh) so I did that> I just hope its acceptable because the pages that I found and printed/scanned/attached (could not download them) didn't have my name on them so I wrote my name across the top of the sheets. Asked that if they had any issue with my documents to let me know. So hopefully I'll get that scholarship awarded and can then figure out my student loan amount. I also sent an email to the lady I dealt with last semester, and asked if/when she or another financial aid person would be available at Henry Campus so I could come in and talk in person....to figure out what is up with the federal work-study amount I have listed, and how much I'll need in loans because I can't even see how much my tuition is yet - not til 30 days before classes start and thats like another week or so from now. ALSO to figure out how to make sure the full amount of the loan (if I have to get a larger amount until DECAL comes thru again) gets reduced instead of the decal funds being sent to me like last semester!!! sigh

She must have massive human resources skills to whip into a job that quickly. Do you think she'll keep the job after the baby comes? Did she think you were going to be a live-in nanny? Seems like it. Supposedly they know she's due soon and said ... I'm not sure really how it was worded - like maybe they said as long as you come back "after the baby is born" but she cant do that until it's old enough for daycare!! - but I can't imagine any job you just started waiting 6 weeks for you to come back to work? I dunno. Also I wonder if they do even really know she is pregnant because she doesn't really show in the clothes she wears. Her problem to deal with if they actually did hire her And honestly I doubt her paycheck from that job will even cover childcare.

I don't mind babysitting on the weekends but after work on weekdays I will have college classwork starting in August and won't be as available 😝 Also they both know I go back to work full time on July 24th. So no I don't think she's expecting me to do live in nannying lol

She says she saw it posted on a site, put in the online application and then called to ask if they needed anything else...they asked when she could come in for an interview and she went in 15 mins later for that. My boys like, refuse to call and check in at places they've put in applications. Even tho I've told them both that is a good way to show they really want to be hired. Sigh

... I can't imagine that they'd hire someone EIGHT AND A HALF MONTHS pregnant though, like.. can you imagine what a liability? She could literally go into labor any minute LOL. How crazy.. but like you said, that's their problem!

So now she is just waiting for a call to say when to start (or maybe not I guess?) She did say they also asked if after the baby was born if she would be willing to help with housekeeping as well.

No they would have no reason to think that, so no I don't think that is anything to do with it. I have always seemed to hear undocumented workers getting hotel jobs as well but I have no idea how true that is lol. One of my friends worked as hotel housekeeping a long time ago ...

Ryan sent me the ultrasound picture Shane sent him It's labeled as 36 weeks on June 26th Which would put her due date closer to July 20th-27th. Hmm ... Wonder if that is why she said the doctor said the baby may come later in the month. But why would the due date have been stated as July 14th before? I know due dates can be miscalculated, but shouldn't it have been corrected long before now? (Then again, if my suspicions are correct, she hasn't been to the doctor regularly like she should have been, but I do not KNOW...and so if she's only been a few times the whole pregnancy then it could have been overlooked).

Kat, where I live, in the northern area of Virginia, hotel jobs like that are almost all held by undocumented weorkers. It's seen as an entry level job for them. I don't begrudge them the work, everyone needs to eat and have shelter, but it does lend to a stereotype. I hate stereotypes. They make everyone look bad. As to her Due date, I can understand why the date wasn't figured correctly. You said she's hardly showing at 8.5 months? The doctor could have seen that the baby was small and miscalculated. My first baby was due in June, the latter part, but was born July 15. First babies are a bit of a trick too, as it's the first time the mother has experienced pregnancy and there are a lot of wild variables there. I reallly hope that everything goes smoothly for her when it's time. Have you discussed any of these concerns with her? Did you talk to both of them about how it's going to be when you go back to school? :D

Yes, she is showing but not obviously, due to her being a tall, large person I think. Like when I was pregnant I was small, short and my belly showed hugely. Hers doesn't so much.

I've brought up a bit, like how I'll have class Mondays and Wednesdays and will need to shut the door because I'll be on zoom meetings or might even be gone some days.

I haven't really discussed pregnancy issues with her because she hasn't really discussed anything with me... I don't want to be intrusive....I know some people are more uncomfortable discussing things. I feel like she is one of those so I try not to pry and ask a million questions and let her do her thing. I decided I'm not going to fuss and fret even about her going to the doctor again or not because I can't make her. And there has been more arguments between them already over job/lack of job, bills, owed money, selling her jeep, her going back to Texas, him yelling at her, him throwing his phone because he got mad (now it's broke and he doesn't have a phone) Omg my head hurts, my heart hurts and I almost wish I didn't let them come here. My blood pressure was so high yesterday from just listening to them fight And I have decided I am just stepping back and letting them do and decide whatever and trying to just listen to either whoever wants to talk It's a mess here and I only see it getting worse until he goes to work and not really being great after And they've been like this off and on since their relationship began and I knew it but hoped some had changed but obviously not I honestly have no idea why they got married or are even together to be completely honest.

He has ADD and needs anger management but has refused to do anything for it since he graduated high school. And he's been like this with just about every relationship he's ever had. Most are short term. This is like the third longer one but the other two he was in highschool ...
