Well as for science, I'm sorry but Pluto is a planet and no one can tell me otherwise 😜 As for the rest of it, yes update for accuracy, but not in tiny increments.
Digital copies makes the most sense especially if you are updating often. Just not printed copies that have two new sentences.

Anyway! Alex cut my hair for me tonight and HE FOUND A WHITE HAIR. COMPLETELY WHITE. It looked like a cat hair. My first one :/ but he had to look pretty hard for it so at least there's that LOL. We named it Lily :/

(Pluto) - also I love Katies take on the view - she says covid and all the other crazy stuff that happened is because everyone angered the god of death when they said Pluto isn't a planet LOL She was big into the Percy Jackson stuff (still is) and the greek/roman gods and all that. Hmm. So. Issue with internet/platform happened today at school for Nathan (whole school not just him) and kids didn't get to do/finish their final exams. Nathan said his teacher told them to just turn in the study guide and she'd count that as the test, but now I've got an email saying that he can stay after school ends (its half day anyway) to take the exam he missed out on, or he can go in Friday to do so. So. Now I'm confused because why would the teacher say one thing and then they send out this letter? He HAS to get a passing grade in this class. This is one he's already taken 2x and he won't graduate on time if he doesn't pass it. UGH UGH UGH and this isn't HIS fault this time but now we've got to figure this stupid thing out. I guess I'll have to tell him to talk to the teacher tomorrow and see what she says now that this emails been sent out
[edit] Good Morning! So I checked my bank this morning...because I figured my paycheck would hit today (as tomorrow is the last work day of the month). And much to my surprise, there is like an extra $700+ in my paycheck? I have no idea why. Now its either a christmas bonus they didn't tell us about, or the retention bonus that is supposed to be given in January being given early. ($1000 bonus, minus taxes/retirement) No idea! But hey! It was a nice surprise. I hope its an EXTRA bonus and I still get the retention bonus in Jan :P
Trying to make up a shopping list already, mostly because I know we're going to be home all day for two/three weeks. Stock up if I can.
Returned my book yesterday, a whole $15 whee, (hey its free $ tho!) and gave that to Nathan as he asked if he could get something to eat out today after school. Then asked about when transcripts would be ready. She said I can order it on the 20th but it won't show my associates degree, just the finalized classes/grades. The degree won't post to the transcript until after the new year she said. Well. Sheesh. I need to get it to Mercer asap, so I guess I'll ask them tonight if it matters. I mean, classes start there on the 8th of Jan so I kinda need to have it to them asap, and I don't think the degree on it or not will matter for them anyway. BUT it might matter for the school. (work) because I have to give THEM a transcript showing I have a 2yr degree and I can get a pay raise for having been to college.
ACK to all of that! Except for the extra $700, that's just terrific! Hopefully it IS just an extra :)

At least the (work!) school, you can get that in after the new year with no problem. YAY for a raise! AND congratulations for COMPLETING YOUR ASSOCIATES! It's a big deal, especially since you're still working full time and still have Nathan at home, etc.
Yes. It is a big deal, to have done all that. I'm glad I didn't do it when the kids were younger tho! Phew. Having just him at home made it easier to do. Now 2 1/2 yrs til my bachelors :D That'll really be a big deal.
So Nathan ended up taking his final for Chemistry during his Chorus block time as the "exam" for Chorus was the concert Tuesday night. So he had plenty of time to take the exam. I hope he did good and passed the class.
And thank you for the "graduation" gifts lol I am not doing actual graduation for my associates as they won't walk until May for it (>? WEIRD I mean, I finish in DEC but I guess because of class/college size) and May is supposed to be about NATHAN and his high school graduation. I am not taking away or making him share his time. I'll think about doing the ceremony for the bachelors but I just don't know if I will for that either to be honest.
Edit 410pm I just watched my future son in law (ooh that sounds weird lol) walk across the stage virtually (live feed) for his bachelor's degree!! Go Wesley!!!
I agree about it being all about Nathan (Well.. hopefully!) in the Spring, but I think you should do some sort of small celebration for yourself now!
And I definitely think you should do it for your bachelors, that's such a big thing Kat!

Aww. Well maybe I'll get myself a cookie cake or go out to dinner or something. I dunno. Maybe if others (cough Family Members cough) thought about doing something FOR me I'd be more excited to celebrate about it. But no one thinks about mom I guess. Its moms that think about everyone else :P I am certain me getting my associate degree never crossed anyone's mind at all. I guess it is also sort of my fault, because even tho I know I am getting it, and most people in my family know this is my last semester for it, I didn't make a big production out of getting it either tho.
Oh! I went and checked my classes at SCTC for grades yesterday before going up to Mercer - the teacher finally graded all my last assignments. And I got full points (even for that half-baked last assignment I thought sure I'd only get half points for). So I got all A's again :D 99.3 in EMPL, and 996/1000, 988/1000, and 961/1000 points for the ECCE (childhood) classes!! :D
And when I FINALLY got to speak to financial aid (luckily before she left, because she thought she'd talked to everyone already, but our "advisor" kept us talking so long about our classes that she'd closed the classroom she was in and was about to walk out the door!!) - (which frustrated me because I already understood everything about the classes and really just went to speak to financial aid but HAVE to speak to the advisor first) She said to accept just the one loan, ask for a loan change form to move some of the "summer" money from that loan into the spring loan, but that WHEN I got the DECAL scholarship (she said don't say IF lol) that the loan amount would drop by whatever amount I get for DECAL and I would only have that smaller amount as a student loan for this semester. Good to know. Oh, I also checked DECAL last night, its still under review.

yep. So right. furniture, chauffeur, cook, housekeeper.... but no one spoils us or thanks us for what we do 90% of the time (the other 10% is Mothers Day :P lol or someone does think to say thanks for something)
Phew. SOOOOO Glad today is Over. Got to leave a little early yay! Party was CHAOS as usual. and our little troublemaker was hyped up full of sugar after the party of course (AND no mom, naturally) so he was running around like a madman. I almost didn't go out to car rider but I did and lucky he came out right after me so I bet things calmed down in the room after that.
edit: I bought myself another gift hahah :P Well I got a $15 amazon gift card from one kid - and I had like $7 left from another one - so I was browsing, and if I ordered over $40 I got free shipping....so... yea. I basically just paid $20 for 4 books :D awesome! I'm totally trying to collect all the books from my fav author! But I guess if they get here in time I'll wrap them and stick them under the tree for myself - just like I did my little gingerbread stuffed man, and my little gingerbread mini pie pans :P

We had a Christmas party at the food share today (All day style, with a potluck), it was my idea but I really really think everyone enjoyed it. But it was a CRAZY day there, and then I ended up leaving there and going directly to my work Christmas party, which was at a restaurant. But it was actually super super fun, and we all laughed SO much.

No, Nathan won't wrap them :P Not unless I ask. BUT - I am giving him $40 and telling him to go buy me stuff for my stocking and a gift or two and I did give him a list (so I'll probably know exactly what he gets but at least I didn't actually go pick it out) so I'll have something gotten by someone else. And I will make him wrap that Well to be honest, Shane did get me gifts. I know what they are tho eyeroll (just not what one of them looks like) because he asked me, "will so & so like this? I'm getting one for everyone" and then all the boxes come in the mail to MY house and I wrap them. And Katie will probably get me something. Hers will be the only thing I don't have any idea what it is - except I did ask her to pick out my yearly bear ornament, so I know I am getting that, but not which one she picked. So its not ALL gotten by me, but it still mostly feels like it :P
And yes. Freeeeeeeee - no work, no school not until Jan something :P I do have a dentist appointment on Tuesday. And the contractor is coming Monday (and whatever other days til he finishes) But no work, no school!! Stay at home, cuddle under blankets, play online, read books, relax!!

Got to wrap two last gifts (debating individually or as an item set - books for Katie, pants for Wesley). Got to remind myself NO MORE GIFTS. I've spent enough on them all! Well maybe one more thing or some $ for Shane I guess. He has a little bit less than the others.
Going to work on cleaning up the kitchen, livingroom, my bathroom, my bedroom AND make Nathan clean up the outside like I asked him to do the last THREE DAYS because of the contractor coming (I wanted everything moved out of his way so he can get right to work - like the stuff I have on the porch needs to be moved off/out of the way, some things on the side of the house too) AND Nathan has to take all the trash out of the freaking house already - his excuse? Well I was going to burn it all so I just haven't taken it up to the tree because its been wet. GET IT OUT OF MY HOUSE ALREADY!!!! (bunch of cardboard/burnable trash)

I've got to do some cleaning this week too, and help Isabelle wrap her presents for her sisters that she bought (with my money ofc), and I picked El up a college hoodie that I need to stick in a box.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to take the 5 of them to get their pictures done after church.. well, I'll take them, at the selfie studio. And then Monday night akira has a chorus concert (then I have a meeting, I'll just do it in the car if I have to), and then Tuesday Lily has her holiday concert, so she'll be playing with the jazz band, regular band, junior high band, the madrigal, and she helps out with the junior high chorus, too LOL
Yes! Teenagers ARE very annoying. And they aren't much better as young adults either (most of them). But they'll eventually get there I guess. Or else go live somewhere else in their own filth and leave me to mine :P (because yes, I also am a little bad about not cleaning up some areas - but I would at least take the trash out/off if it was MY job instead of HIS!! he's got to be responsible for SOMETHING in this house. Sheesh)

Ugh at Lily. Nathan's rooms are both disasters (I should say all three, the bathrooms messy too) and I will probably piss him off and clean the game room one day soon 😝
We didn't go today, hopefully Friday. And Lily is just.. grounded.
BUT, she's cleaning now! Connor is actually over here helping, because I took all her devices.. including her school computer. So she can't do the rest of her homework unless she cleans her room. And if she has any missing assignments, she can't skip school to go see TSO on Thursday. So.
She'd better get moving.
(Also.. normally I wouldn't punish her with that, but she's had THREE. WEEKS. So.. oh well)
Grounded doesn't do a thing to Nathan. He rarely wants to go anywhere anyway. Even now he's got his driver's license that is still true. Taking away devices SOMEtimes works. Not always. Sometime he just goes and lays in his bed and sleeps if I take away devices.
