Chelle luckily so far on zoom meetings my speakers are off unless I have had to say something which wasn't often. And my bedroom is away from the front of the house and with the door shut sound doesn't carry as much However I can only hope they'll respect that time for me or I'll just have to go ballistic on them or something (says the person who avoids conflict hahahah) but yeah. I'll have to say something if they do disrupt classes. However most likely they won't because once Shane starts work, he'll be gone all week and only home on weekends.

Kat, I honestly think they moved in with you because "any port in a storm" and they were headed for the perfect storm in both of them being jobless wwith a babty coming and a pending eviction. They saw your house and the security it offered and went for it whole heartedly. Don't let them use your wilingness to help to drag you down. You need to start putting your foot down now, establishing some boundaries now before the baby comes, before you need to go back to school. You shouldn't be having issues with your blood pressure. That's not healthy for you. Yes, it's your son and grandchild but you count in all this, too. :D

Mieke, yea. I hoped getting married and expecting a baby would begin that process if nothing else, but I guess not. I mean, really. I guess I should NOT have expected it, seeing as my dad claims he didn't "grow up" until his 40s and my younger brother is the same. I still see stupid bursts of anger from my younger brother at times, but I am not around him often and its less than I remember so maybe brother's finally growing up. Maybe Shane won't be "grown up" until his 40s either sigh

yes, but it is SO HARD for me to put boundaries and expectations in place, I am trying. I started with the "rent" and I also am trying to talk to them about the yelling/arguing...when it happens in FRONT of me I can stop it in its tracks by telling him to stop or be calm because he KNOWS I don't like arguing, but if they do it behind closed doors or when I am asleep.... We had a nice talk with his dad about it today too - because I've been venting some to him as well about it and he flat out asked Shane if Shane knew how much stress he and Anna were putting on ME and Shane was like yes, but Ryan was like BUT DO YOU?? DO YOU REALLY KNOW??? And TOLD him I'd had to take my extra medication the last couple days. I hope it made an impression. (btw, its not just stress that makes my blood pressure go up, its happened other times, but I am pretty certain that THIS time it is stress...I've had it go up and me not feel like I've been stressed or anything, but this time I KNOW it was because of that)

Edit Sunday 1245 Ups downs. Stress, headaches. Hopefully life will settle soon Went to the bank, Walmart and Ingles today. Got myself a laptop (well hey sounded like a good way to spend the $200+ I got for subbing). Setting it up now so it will be ready when I need it in August for college.

Let's be honest here, do men ever grow up? XD :P I'm glad you're finally telling them about some of this. That's the only way they'll see the boundaries you need to set and respect them. The past couple days have been more peaceful. Except I've had a headache that just won't stay away. It'll lessen/go away but then come back again ☹️ First I thought stress, lack of sleep, and then remembered I had not drank any tea so I thought caffeine withdrawal. Probably a mixture of all of it. I slept horribly last night. Probably because I was so tired and had the headache most of yesterday so laid down in the dark for an hour or two late afternoon.... So then couldn't sleep last night. I think I woke up every 2-3 hrs. Ugh.

Today I have a dentist appointment and Shane has decided he is going to call and see if he can get into orientation this week even if it means he ends up on the truck and not here when the baby is born even tho he hates that idea. Also they sold their jeep night before last. I'm annoyed by that because now I have one car to ferry around 4 adults and two of them cannot legally drive mine (not on my insurance). So this means I have to drive him to Jackson (20min drive one way) and then go back to pick him up for at least three days if he does go into orientation. Because I can't be w/o my car in case baby comes. Of course, the insurance on the jeep was probably past due to so it was probably illegal for them to drive IT too but I don't know for fact.

Kat, I think the stress meter in your head is trying to adjust to the new level of stress in your house. I get headaches like that that only time seem to remedy. I hop e your headache gets better. Wow, that girl can get stuff done when she needs too- getting a job in 4 hours and then selling her jeep? That was pretty quick. What are they going to do for transportation?They can't really expect you to drive them everywhere? Cars aren't cheap, but then, perhaps this girl knows where she can pic one up cheap? Maybe where she sold the Jeep? Wish I could find someplace cheap up here, my car problems would be quickly solved. :D

no the whole selling the jeep was idiotic to me. They wanted to have some $ so I wasn't paying for everything for them ALSO they (Shane mostly) believed the idiotic salesperson at a dealership when he was told he didn't need any paycheck stubs to get a newer vechicle and that he only needed a down payment, so they took most of the money for the jeep to the dealership to use as a small downpayment, to be told gasp that he needs paycheck stubs. Like I tried to tell him. BUT he refused to listen to me because the salesperson SAID.....

And I guess she didn't get the job because they never called her to come start working. But at least she got an INTERVIEW!! Which Nathan never has. She sold the jeep on facebook, they met the person who bought it in Jackson and he paid them cash. BUT yeah. Now I have to drive them everywhere - so since Shane followed through and called Mike at Collins to go to orientation even tho the baby isn't born yet, I now get to drive to Jackson twice a day for three days. Yay.

I am hoping my brother comes thru with the car swap soon (He got a Mazda 3 sedan, manual, blue, - hahah fraternal twin of the car I already have is what I said when he told me about it-my current car is a mazda 3 hatchback, manual, black) and wants to fix it up, and give it to me, and give the Xterra to my other brother Jon who needs a car and mom/dad were going to get the blue car for him. Eric thinks he'd be more comfortable in my xterra. At least then I'll have two cars and if I have to put them on the insurance of one with them PAYING FOR IT I can do that. But I won't not with just ONE car right now.

I know their kids just starting out. I know I made some idiot-like mistakes but only after I was married to my first hubby. At that time, in Virginia your husband had to sign for you to sell your car, whether it was just in your name or both. The salesman for the dealership wouldn't even talk to me w/out my husband being present. We had nothing like Facebook or twitter to sell stuff on. I honestly think your son is trying his best. He doesn't want youstrapped for money or them to be out of money if they need something like cigs or soda. While you're out, why don't you get Nathan an application from a few places around town? Hand them to him att dinner. I'm thinking of doing that with my 20 year old money pit of a son. 😂 The things we do as mothers. XD

In a way yes. Kids. But also. He is 25 and she is 28 :P adults. I had my life well under control by then. In fact I had 2 of my kids by his age and Nathan at 29.

Last night they went and bought an Xterra..... The whole reason behind selling the jeep was like I said, to get some $ to use as a down payment because that idiot salesman told them they could get a car with only a down payment. So since that didn't work out they instead went looking online and found this xterra. Guess they have a car now but omg. Arrrggghhh.

And today he went to orientation. But then got told he was going out in a truck this evening. So he came home again and got clothes and drinks and food and she drove him back I love when things don't happen like you are told they will. Argh

As for Nathan, I already know he wouldn't do anything with any applications I brought him, so why bother also most places do online applications only now anyway. :P

EDIT 630pm Wednesday 17th Its really weird how emojis on my phone change into garbage on the desktop :P It makes me wonder if ya'll can even see them lol My headache has finally gone away (mostly. I did have to take some tylenol this morning) I think it helps me that Shane is not here shouting and being loud (he yells at his games, or just watches tv at a loud volume and talks loudly too)

No other real news lately ... I did make an appointment to see the lady in financial aid on Monday. I wanted to go today or tomorrow but those times were filled up, when I finally realized she had sent me a booking link to make an appointment eyeroll that is what happens when people use apps or whatever that I never use. The link says for a google meet, but I asked her to see her in person, and she said she was available those days...so I am going into the campus and well, I guess I'll take my laptop and if I have to google meet her while there so be it, but she SAID she would be AT the campus so if I go in person I should be able to see her in person.

I just don't like google meetings. I don't like zoom meetings :P I will do classes that way but I'd almost rather just read the book and take tests than sit and listen to someone talk on a computer showing a powerpoint!! VERY boring to me. Eh. It is what it is. edit 735pm Gotta love people who don't tell you EVERYTHING. I KNEW KNEW KNEW I was supposed to send the financial aid paper (I had read it somewhere) but since the email I got from DECAL after I asked what I needed to send in didn't say to send it, I didn't. Guess what was in my email today? A letter stating my application for DECAL is incomplete due to my financial documents - in other words, I needed to send financial aid award info. sigh I sent that in just after I read it.

Kat, I'm sorry for all the frustration you're having! Also.. ugh. When I was 28, I had all three kids haha. AND I was still driving and picking D&A up from school each day!

We actually just checked yesterday that Els FAFSA actually got sent in, because we haven't heard ANYTHING about financial aid for this new semester yet, which is a little scary, since it starts at the end of August! But it DID get sent in, so hopefully we'll learn soon.

Guys if I don't hear from this new lady at the school if I got this 'full time' job or not, I'm going ot have a heart attack or a stroke or something. Like.. the stress in my life rn is over the top. I'm going to send her a text next week and ask, I'll give her 2 weeks because I think everything has to be listed for 2 weeks anyway but like.. arghhhhh. I need to know. And if not, SOMETHING else needs to fall into my lap, because there's really nothing listed online, etc, that will even remotely work. Except all the people paying $8 an hour for overnight shifts. NTY.

Hi mieke. Ugh that she hasn't got back to you on the job. I don't know why it would have to be posted a set amount of time before being filled? That's weird. But hopefully you'll get it!! No night time jobs for me either. I am soooo not a night owl.

My FAFSA never sent me anything, like last time I got an alert about the SAR but I guess when they changed the FAFSA it changed that too? The college finally sent me an aid award letter so that's how I knew. It included a work study amount tho, which I am confused by. So I am asked about that. And I am asking about the refunds I got last time instead of them being applied my tuition and the amount taken off the student loan like I was told it would I want it to happen right this time. Because by my calculations I'll need about $700 student loans this semester depending on the actual amount of aid I get from decal/bfts. If they don't apply it right I'll end up with almost another 3k in student loans. Again, not a horrible amount but 700 vs 3k .... Yeah I'd rather have the lesser amount to pay back

Anyway. After I talk to her I'll accept my aid and go order my books I guess.

Oh, Kat, I feel your pain with the fed loans. I could never figure them out and had to have my hubby fill them out and thenfollow up with them. Uggh

Oh gosh. Just got a phone call from my home owners insurance, local company. They were all like "have you received a check? If you do don't cash it!! It will mess up your insurance" And I was like uuuuhhhhmmmm but..... And explained all the phone calls to mtg company and insurance company thru them (mtg) that was made. And that I was told to cash and return the funds to my escrow? And now you are saying NOT to? He was like uuhhhmmm let me talk to Allison (local owner lol) and she looked over it And then told him that I was correct. And I should cash and return it to my escrow AND to send me a gift card due to all the nonsense I've been going thru due to them hahahahaha So I wonder what kind of gift card I'll get.

I think I need to change insurance companies. But only if I find somewhere cheaper lol My neighbor just got cheaper by combining hers and her car insurance with progressive but I'm a little leery now due to what state farm told me about my back house Sigh

I GOT THE JOB!!! She sent a text today, apparently she just... assumed that I'd know I got it? LOL

But Jolie (my friend) say Jade (she works at the elem center) this morning and Jade said she was friends with Erin (new boss), and that she was so excited I was coming on full time.. and hten Jolie said "Wait, mieke doesn't know that yet!" so then Jade must have texted Erin and she texted me haha.

BUT YAY. Which is good, because seriously, our finances.. are NOT good. Alex is supposed to get a raise too, since it's the new fiscal year for him, and he says if not he's going ot ask for one, and if that doesn't work, he's going to look for a new job. Because he's a skilled worker, and he SHOULD be getting paid more. I do like the hours on this job, but like.. we can't keep going on like this!

We have progressive, and we DO have our house and cars insured together, and it does get a discount..

Oof, speaking of, I'm lowering our car insurance down to the minimum, I can't pay $2800 for three vehicles, either. And that's WITHOUT Lily!

Yah I only have liability on mine. Not full coverage. I wouldn't mind full coverage if it cost less and maybe w/o teen drivers one day I'll do that. But for now. Liability. Whatever the cheapest I can get. $280 monthly for me and Nathan on just one car. Adding Lily soon?

And yes Alex should get a raise or see if he can find a place that will pay him better if not. I get a small one yearly. Like maybe $25-50 per paycheck (monthly). I have no clue how that will work out this year due to so many changes I've heard...first the monthly to bi-monthly pay and also something about governor giving teachers and public workers a raise but I am also PreK so I'm different than regular teachers so I dunno if I get that? But I should still get the regular scale pay raise for one more year in service

If I could get around to the places I needed w/o a car I would. But I don't want to live in an area like that (city!! Or close in town). So I require a car. Lol I'm sure even living in those places having a car would still be more convenient for me so I understand you guys wanting/needing one, especially since you said you have Dr apts a lot.
