lol I am not :P I'm just a busy busy person with plans and goals!
RIGHT??? Like, why did they not write him up, what was the point of removing him to the office for injuring others? However, on my behalf, I have WRITTEN DOWN every incident!! I have been keeping notes on this child since like the 2nd or 3rd week of school, when we realized what kind of behaviour he had, so we could track if there was a specific time or issue (no there is not). He got better (a lot) in like Oct/Nov but after those 3 weeks out for Christmas break, he's so much worse again :( But yes. I HAVE every bite, every office/out of room, every hit, every single time he got up and wandered the room getting into toys and didn't listen to directions, all that kind of stuff is in my notes. So go on. TRY to get me in trouble for NOT sending him to the office/reporting his behavior. I DID. YOU did not do anything with him once he was there. If anything comes back on this, that will bite THEM in the butt. Seriously! My daily notes (which has columns for "morning, cleanup, carpet time, bathroom", etc) has it specifically stated "bit child, taken to office" and then the remaining part of the day schedule says "in office", "w/ Behavior Specialist" or "in Kinder room" if I noticed they put him in a Kinder room
Oh my Lily. You do need to practice. Katie used to sing multiple parts as well. She was pretty good at it, had the range for it :) Oooh you have fun with those dinosaurs LOL
As for me, so far today I have gone shopping and spent a lot on very little. (mostly non-food items). Still did not get a dog bed. Belle needs a new one, but $35 is a LOT for a dog bed!!! Ollies had some for $25 but they were only medium sized. She needs large or xl. Going to have to look online. See what I can find. I also came home, vacuumed (emptied the canister FOUR times) to get all the dog hair up, and then shampooed the carpet because OOOOF dog smell. Nathan gave Belle a bath yesterday. Then I quickly showered and ran into town to get my fingerprints done. And then went to the MailNCopy and mailed Shanes CB radio to him along with all his mail. Now I am cooking lunch and about to go work on school stuff.
EDIT: 205pm three hours later ... finished my study questions (I don't think I did as well on this set) and took the quiz. Missed 5/25 questions....so that means I got 20/25 correct! :P I got an 82.5/100 for the quiz, which dropped my grade from 100 to 95. Still acceptable LOL I also did my flip video and watched the 2 others that had already posted theirs, but I will wait & see if more post by tomorrow, then do my responses. Last thing I have to do for this week. I completed my PowerPoint page for my discussion I have to "lead" on Wednesday during class, (pick a quote from the article review I did, and say why I chose it, then listen to the others explain what my quote means to them, then let them pick a quote and share/discuss if we have enough time) (OH WHAT JOY!!) not. And I printed off all the power points from the teacher in addition to a study guide and jeopardy study game she had posted for this upcoming week - all we have to do is read our chapters, study, attend class on wed for the discussions and take an exam for this upcoming week in that class.
congratulations on your associates degree well done! :D good luck on your Bachelors you will smash it! hope the school is now writing up that naughty kid so that at least teachers can see it on his school records it's not fair it's making you and the other teachers look bad which just is'nt right the School should take it more seriously!
Congrats on your $500 refund
Sorry your study questions are a pain in the butt , it sounds like you have a lot to do before sunday good luck with all the college work.
glad the Concert was incedible!, awww poor Lilly but as they say practice makes perfect That festival of ice sounds amazing have a wonderful time
Thanks! I'm sure I'll do good too! Just 2 1/2 years to go! With summers off.
Oh I emailed the incentives people (the other DECAL aid program I found) - and I have to get the transcript emailed to them (which I figured). BUT they told me the application for winter was over, spring didn't open til "whatever date" but not to apply until Sept if my hire date was after May (mine is July)... so I have to wait on doing that program until September. Very glad to know it, because otherwise I would have been automatically declined they said. But if I apply in Sept I should be approved. This is the one where if I earned a TCC or degree in the past 18m, I can get $1500 or $2500 "annually" - still not sure for HOW LONG. But any amount of time will be helpful!
[edit] 945am Hi again! I just was printing off my Dec paycheck to look at my year to date net income...and realized I needed to change my filing status in my withholding forms at work. So I signed in there and changed one from married/joint to head of household, and the other from married/separate to head of household :P I wonder how/if that will change my paycheck. The IRS told me (thru the estimator I was playing with to see how my tax returns would change if/when Nathan moved out - single vs head of household) that I should adjust my withholding since I was paying too much in taxes. I don't think the state will change at all - the deduction line looked the same after I changed it, but I can't see if there will be a difference in federal.
I am debating getting a lowes store credit card, to build my credit a little more, and get a mini freezer (like 2.8 cu ft) To use to store things like pizzas and frozen meals. But I am not sure I really NEED a small freezer. It was just an idea of something I could get/use and build my credit a bit more...I dunno. Am debating that, or maybe Farmers Furniture, but I don't know what I'd get there.... I don't really WANT credit - but need to build it for getting my own mortgage. sigh
We withold too much too, but here's the thing.. it's more helpful, to me, to get the refund because if that little bit was in my paycheck, it'd get spent on groceries, etc. Since it's not there, I'd rather just have the couple thousand or whatever all in March or April, to pay off the big stuff like homeowners and car insurance, etc.
I agree with that. Which is why I didn't change anything except my withholding/filing status. I think that needs to be accurate :) I could use/do need a bit more in my paycheck tho, as long as I can still get some back at the tax season too! If I do change anything, once I am filing "single" I will change it to make sure I get some money back ;)
Yeah, it may change a bunch now soon, too!
Oh ALSO! About the credit.. why not just get a normal, not store credit card, and pay your bills with it? And then just pay it monthly. That'll build your credit just the same, but you won't be buying things you don't really need.
Well - I have one credit card. A secured one ($500), from my bank, that I got last summer after talking to the mortgage specialist. But I also signed up for Experian so I could track my score and see how it was doing (since I was going from bankruptcy/no score, to whatever I can get to before I get a mortgage)...I'm sitting nice at 632 - but would like to get it closer to 700 if I could, and looking at the site....it says one thing that would help was a variety of credit....so I was thinking a store card in addition to the regular credit card might help..... I do not want to get any type of loan - although - I am about to have student loans, tho I won't have to make payments yet - so I don't know if that will count or not? Student loans were listed as an option (it was personal loan, student loan, mortgage loan on that section).... All my bills are already set up on autopay to come out of my paycheck within the week after it is deposited. So I don't really want to mess with that. I have thought about transferring some of the bills to the card as a monthly payment, and as you said, paying it off monthly....I'd set all THAT up on auto pay TOO lol But with it being such a low limit card I just decided not to. I have used that card to get gas and hotel when I took my car to my brother so I have a balance, and want to pay it down to less than $40 before spending on it again (almost there), but I don't go over $150-200, as that was also a recommendation from the mortgage person - to only use no more than 30% of my open credit....
I also have the carecredit card I got when I got my glasses (that I haven't ever worn because they messed with me too much sigh) - but now that is paid off - so its an open line of credit with 0 balance - I don't know if that will affect my score negatively soon or not....I tried to see if I could use it at the doctor office but they said no because it doesn't have a visa logo...but the stupid thing says I can use it for medical expenses. So I am trying to see where else I can use it - just so I can have a small balance that I pay on again... (more on-time payments looks better...) I was going to ask at the pharmacy, because sometimes my meds cost $10 other times less - and this time I had to pay $2 for the nausea medication and NOTHING for the others. sigh :P SO I didn't ask if I could use the carecredit card.
Yeah, it's just really confusing in general! I don't know if student loans count?
Plus, I paid off a bunch of credit cards three years ago, my credit score went WAY up, then way down the next month LOL. Useless :P
Right? So its hard to know what to do. For now (again) I decided not to do the store card. Mostly because I don't feel I really want or need a freezer. I mean, yes I could find a use for it ... but I think we are good w/o Shane here to use freezer space. Unless I want to stock up on frozen meal type things. THEN I might need more freezer space. Also tho, if I get rid of the bananas that have been in there since June, I'll have a whole small shelf free :P
I think they would, I just am not sure if they will show up as of right now, or not until after I graduate college and am required to pay them back. I mean, why would they be listed as a loan if not? It listed loans (including student loans), credit cards, and mortgages or something as things I could get to improve my score.
I'm still not sure if I will even get a mortgage this summer - if the rates don't go down I'm not sure I should. It will depend on what the payment would be. Because if my rate is higher, my payment will be higher...and the rate now (in Ryans name) is 5.5% - I know current rates are more like 7%. I need a LOWER payment or at least the same, not a higher one. As long as he doesn't have a hissy fit about me not putting it in my name sooner rather than later (and he said he wouldn't....but...we will see what happens)....He said before that I could keep it in his name as long as I made the payments and when it was paid off he would sign the deed over to me. Now - I do have the divorce papers that say he quitclaimed the property to me - but no quitclaim deed filed cuz his butt won't come back and do one. Whatever. So just one more reason for me to go ahead and get a mortgage in my name. I'm also not sure if anyone will even do a mortgage loan as low as I have? I only need 39k. Most homes around here are selling for 200k+ - newer ones for closer to 400k. The neighbor who bought the house next door bought it for 205k. Identical house to mine. Same size property and everything. MY house wouldn't sell for that much due to the foundation issue tho - I would LOVE to include that cost into the mortgage when I redo it - but again - depends on what the final monthly payment will be. (Because that is an additional 25k to fix the foundation)
I'm also thinking of asking Mr Cooper (loan company) if they can do a transfer of the mortgage to my name, due to him quitclaiming the property in the divorce...I mean, it would go from ex-spouse to ex-spouse, so would they do that? I don't know.
Our mortgage payment is $207 a month (but that doesn't include taxes or insurance!), and it was for $30k to begin with. IDK if that helps at all?
But our interest rate was super low too I think, because of when we got it...
EDIT: You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
OMG finally!
Congrats on the forum point. Our mortgage was originally 50k. So I know it's not impossible to get lower mortgages, I just wonder how difficult it will be since most mortgages seem to be way larger, especially now. (We got ours about 15yrs ago) My payment is $615 right now, but property taxes and home owners IS included in that. It will go down when I am able to get a different policy for home owners, one that I am combine with my car policy for a discount. But property taxes are killing me. Over 2k a year now when not even 5 yrs ago it was less than 1k a year 😳
Where'd you go? :P
Oooh Kat. Ours are around 5.5k a year. :( School taxes are super super high here, which is annoying. Our homeowners is crazy expensive though, it's like $1200 a year which seems like an awful lot to me, anyway! THAT went up like $350 in the past few years. Super obnoxious honestly.
Yea I think I remember you talking about how high your school taxes were. I don't think ours are anywhere near that high. The homeowners went up too - from the tornado of course, but also because Ryan changed insurance companies for the cars but not the homeowners - so it lost the multipolicy discount, which I will get back, as unless I can find a place that gives it cheaper anyway, I'd rather get it at the same place and get the multipolicy discount.
Oooh so. That meeting this morning? Mom apparently up in arms. Her kid has the RIGHT to go to school. And They've tried EVERYTHING but he acts like that at home too. And attitude out the yingyang but all We are willing to try anything, if ya'll have ideas ... The suggestion was a modified schedule (where he only comes half a day) and her response was "I don't have anyone to help" and "what if he bites someone at 815 in the morning, but with the modified schedule he goes home at like 11 anyway, and you want me to come get him at 815?" UM. Well curseword principal is all like, well I'll just put him with the behavior specialist til you come to get him in that type of incidence. OH heck NO ARE YOU SERIOUS? - if this child BITES someone he should go home NO MATTER of a modified schedule or not!!! The principal did say he was going to have to start suspending him if he kept biting as well tho. I mean this crap is all over the place. Go one direction, go another. ANYWAY. So they are meeting again on Friday, to finalize a decision. ARRRGGH. The kid TRIED to bite another kid (who pulled away in time) and also ran off down the hallway today too.
im here :P congrats on the forum point I won 2 points the other day :) Ive just been catching up on all the posts lol, it's diffrent for me with regards to housing I rent from a private Landlord I pay £360 a month for a 3 bed house but I have to pay water rates, electricity and gas and Council Tax here,as for credit I have 3 mail order catalouges no credit cards my credit score is really low I had a mortgage about 15 years ago with my ex partner and he lost his job and we lost the house and ive had a hard time getting credit since. Also he rang up a debt on our joint bank account about 2 years ago and refused to pay it asshole as what he is so that has affected my credit score too. :(
EDIT:
Oh no this is ridiculous the Mom should take some responsibility for her kid and I can't believe that kid tried to bite another kid again and ran away, this must be taking it's toll on you lets hope the meeting on friday produces some satisfactory conclushions for you
I agree. Mom needs to take more responsibility in some way. I'm sure she is just as frustrated by it all as we are, especially if he is running away from her or biting/hitting at home, in addition to not listening to the directions the parents give at home. It is annoying. But you are the PARENT...be a PARENT. So many parents these days don't want to be a parent. Or maybe just don't know HOW to. sigh
In other news. I was bad. I completely forgot to get back online last night and respond to 2 classmates for the flip discussion in the childhood class. Oops. Only worth 2 points, but I did it just now and turned it in late. And emailed the teacher. She gave us a "life happens" coupon to turn in for a late assignment and I tried to use it (not that I feel its really worth it, but I have NEVER been late on an assignment before and don't PLAN to be again!!) but couldn't get it to upload. I also asked her if there was any way to get the class's original posts done SOONER so there was more to choose from when trying to respond, I looked at it and least 10 people made their original post AFTER 9 PM!!! I am LONG off the computer by then 90% of the time!!
edit: This student aid stuff is WEIRD. Oh well. As long as it all gets paid for one way or another I'm fine. - Because the student loan I did accept is more than enough to cover anything not covered by DECAL and PELL So I got an email saying I still had student loan funds to accept or reject. Guess I didn't realize I had to reject the one I didn't want to accept :P I went in and looked at the form...and noticed the amount received from DECAL dropped by $250? Weird. Also I got the check for $500 today so yay. It said "stipend", so I guess that is how that works. DECAL sends it to Mercer who will send it to me every semester :P
AAAANNND I just realized the emails I got today that had to do with the teacher candidacy and the teacher ethics assessment - I have to get THOSE both turned in and done by the 2nd. So I am working on the ethics now - well setting it up so I can do it. YAY. NOT. I did not want to have to work on this at the same time as my school work but apparently have to do it before Feb 2. ARGH. (it is only supposed to take a few hours....)
Ooooh boy. I mean, I'm sure she IS frustrated, but she must see that the other kids in the class have a right to not be bit and hurt, and to have their classtime and learn too, right?
Yay for funds, even if not as much as your originally thought!
Ugh guys I am FLOUNDERING right now. I've been trying to put all my paychecks towards paying off debt, but life is so expensive that it's NOT WORKING and we're like, just scraping by paycheck to paycheck basically and I'm really just venting about it but like. Argh. EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE. Food is so expensive, and we haven't been going crazy! It's not like we're eating out all the time (or, basically, ever), we're not drinking or smoking, we don't go out really and do things that cost money.
like. I'm just. Stuck. And OFC it's the time of year that everything comes up, car insurance is due, homeowners will be due, taxes will be due, heating oil, etc. I'm just. ARGHHHHHHHH.
I feel your frustration everything here is so expensive too and as me and my Fiance are both on state benefits we are both on disability and hes just had his disability payment cut by over half the payment we are really struggling now and grocerys are so expensive and so is gas and electric ARGHHHHHH cost of living sucks and the goverment has billions they should help out more!!
I dunno. My lead teacher said when the principal stated that the other parents expected their children to be safe at school, the mom just kind of stared... one of those "my kid is more important that anyone else's kid" or maybe more accurately, "my time should not be spend dealing with this, why haven't YOU solved my kids issues" type of thing is what it feels like to me :P I am being very unprofessional saying that but honestly. Its how I feel in this situation.
And yes! OMG yes. EVERYTHING is soo expensive. And you have a larger family to deal with. Its just UGH. awful. Oh no Chelle, that is awful that he lost some of his disability. That makes it so hard too :(
Ok I can't stay on here. I HAVE to go do school stuff :( Ugh. I so don't feel it right now> Still not feeling well. Last night I could NOT focus and fell asleep on the couch trying to sort out my discussion post, woke up and went straight to bed. Then woke up this morning all congested and foggy feeling. Ugh. Long day today due to that.
EDIT 805pm Ugh. More than four hours later! I'm so tired. I did take a short break or two.... Did not get ANY school work done. JUST the ethics assessment.
Aww Kat im sorry you feel so rough especialy when you have school wotk to do but are too ill to do it but you have to put your health first, I hope you feel better soon and are able to get your school work done just take it easy and rest hugs
Thanks Chelle! I decided to stay home tomorrow - well - actually to go to the doctor. I found out today that covid is going around the school again, as well as flu and stomach virus. I have more covid/upper respiratory symptoms again so ... might let them run the covid test.
Just finished my zoom meeting for class. Although its tiring, its fun too most of the time. I did think we were doing our discussions this week, but she never said anything about them, so I went and double checked and its next week. eh Ooops. I'm already prepared for it. Oh well. Before zoom class, I also managed to complete my religions discussion post. So that is one more thing down. It is the study questions that are gonna kill me this week I think. I just don't have the time or energy. I'll do what I can I guess. :/
Edit: Good Morning All Oh I didn't realize. I got a forum point when I posted this!
EDIT: 1025am Just got home from the doctor. Negative for flu and covid. Out of pocket about $250 :/ Got antibiotic shot, steriod shot, and antibiotic/cough prescriptions sent over to pharmacy. Will get those either at lunchtime or when I go get Nathan, depending on if I feel like going to go get something for lunch or just make ramen noodles.
