Jorah (youngest cockatiel) really missed me. He got all huffy when Brian did the good night routine while I was gone.

You never talk about your Mom. Does she live a long ways from you? I've heard birds do that. They really bond with one person, don't they? They tolerate others but they love their person. Cats are similar.

My mom lives on the other side of the state so I don't see her that much. Both her and my dad basically use me to help themselves be reassured about whatever is bothering them. Both continue to emotionally abuse me. I do prefer mom over dad but she still seems to think if I exercise enough my asthma and tendonitis will go away.

I honestly don't talk about my family that much to the point someone knew me for years and didn't realize I had siblings XD

And, yeah, birds bond. My other two birds didn't react as badly to me leaving for a week. Ghost (parakeet) is Brian's bird. Navi (older cockatiel) sometimes prefers Brian and sometimes me.

- kittens are so much fun. what kind did she get? poor jora. he just missed his mom. :)

- i'm feeling better. the tendonitis is resolving itself. the torn tendons and ligaments in my other ankle are knitting back together thanks to the torquemada-inspired boot. another 3 weeks and i can ditch this thing. :) how are you holding up in the heat? :D

Sometimes family can be so hard to deal with. I'm lucky there. Bet your bird was happy to see you! :)

Brian has surgery in a few hours and I could've put the birds to bed earlier except still finishing up doing their sheets.

mornings so far are a bit cold. Afternoons are nice warm. But hot weather is coming back but not that hot as we had.

Brian had shoulder surgery. I was running off of 3 hours of sleep and coffee for the majority of yesterday XD

He is back home safe and sound. In a little bit of pain but that is normal after a surgery :)

Glad Brian is ok. Hope he heals quickly. :)

Doing ok here everyone. RL keeps me busy!! But it;s sunday and i have a day off. Woke up way to early and well let's say my house is clean and smells nice lol!

Just found some maggots on my balcony, yuk!!! Made a round amongst my neighbours and they are comming from my direct upstaris neighbour. He is busy with compost and well he promised to clean and look better after it. If not i am back at his door... yuk!

OMG disgust! Ewwwww... I've never seen maggots in compost.

yuk indeed. Me neither but some of them crawled there way to my balcony. If i see them again i am calling my landlord

I would! It sounds more like the neighbor's apt is filthy not that he's making compost. And if he is, he's not doing it right. Oh I HATE maggots! Oh ewww.
