I like that you call it "she". I do, too. Much the same as cars and machinery, b/c that's how I grew up. They were always "girl/she/gal" and I'm pretty happy about that... even if it's just a car. :P

Oh crap I forgot you were renting. Well, that makes things a lot harder. But I've seen some that are small, but several levels, up against the house. Not attached and moveable with two people, so that works for renters. So maybe sometime you can build one, or buy one already made on Craig's List. Do you have that? Used stuff for sale? You might find one really cheap that way. :)

I actually have a nice amount of wood from previous bed frames or pieces of plywood that I was given that I can cut up. Mostly I just need more fencing and screws. I have the tools! ;) Oh, stapling... which honestly is the bane of my existence. I love cutting, but I have a circular saw so my cuts aren't very accurate and it puts me off at times.

Oh, awesome! Design it with what you have, buy some chicken wire, staples, and something for a roof, and voilà you have a catio! It doesn't have to be perfect. The cats won't care as long as they have ledges to sleep on and something to watch outside. Oh, and no splinters. :)

- i have tendonitis in my left foot. all the doc said to do for it was to ice it and stay off it. how do you deal with your tendonitis?

- i'm glad too. i may walk funny for a bit but at least it's healing, finally. ;) sorry you've got a crap schedule right now. i hope it gets straightened out soon. :D

I enjoy the outdoors and want to teach my son how to leave no trace anytime we are out walking around or at the park. I've heard "she" being used for a lot of things like you mentioned and always Mother Nature is she. Where i live our weather is all over the place for the most part..except summer time, so I call our state a she lol.

Foot braces when I go out and night splints when I sleep. And if I forget the night splints for a few days...yeah...I notice O.O'

Takes like an hour or so to start walking normally if I forget my night splints for a few days XD

Edit: I'll also use biofreeze from time to time.

Just saw my GA is about to run out somewhere tomorrow. I am so used of having a GA, mainly to autoprice my shop and do extra quests.

And i hope some events will happen here in july, august & september as they are always so slow and boring.

It's a great thing to teach. In NJ most of the state parks have paper bags at the entrances with a sign to carry out what you carry in, so we started learning it at an early age. Though still some don't learn that respect. Never seen a sign like that here in Ohio.

Hopefully someone has a buddy GA they could share with you! I know quite a few KSrs subscribe and likely have extras. A couple keep me topped up. Hopefully they read your need. ❤

That is cool they put out the bags for everyone to use. It is helpful. I've seen those signs at every national and state park that I have been to. I haven't seen any of the signs at the local parks though, there should be some also. We're talking about going camping once the weather cools down and I can't wait :)

- bio-freeze? is that like icy/hot? or aspercream? do you use an ace bandage at all? i'm asking as the tendonitis in my left foot is in a specific spot, and one i'm not even sure how i got tendonitis there... the area effected runs from the knuckle of the pinky toe joint down the side of my foot and stops right in front of the ankle bone. i know that there is a metatarsel that goes from the pinky toe knuckle to the tarsels by the ankle but can't figure out how the tendonitis is so very localized. any advice you can give is very welcome as the doc was no help at all. 😔 what kind of foot brace do you use? :)

- my weekend was very sedentary. lol i played couch potato and watched supernatural on netflix. :)

- stinks to have a messed up schedule for so long. don't tire yourself out, especially in this heat. on the news it said it was supposed to reach record highs in temperature in the uk so i'm guessing it's just as hot there. i'm so glad i have air conditioning. :D

UK was a bit hotter then us but not by much. This heatwave is nuts! Had an afternoon/evenung shift on monday, day shift on tuesday and today again an afternoon/evening shift. My poor body is a hot mess!

Trying to keep it cool and stay safe. Sadly working and no fan or airco at work. We did ask for it but they are just looking at us.... driving me mad.. At home i closed everything and once the sun is down i open stuff, to get some cool air but at 10pm it was still above 30 degrees celcius.

- do you have a fan in your apartment? if you do, then you can cool off the place using a trick i learned from my grandmother: get a bag of ice from the store. place it in a shallow tub, like a tub most people use for washing their dishes. place the fan on a sturdy surface, like a kitchen table. place the tub of ice in front of it so the fan will blow air across the ice. your apartment will cool down noticeably. granted the hotter it is the more ice you'll go through but in the evening it's a good trick to cool things down before sleeping. :)

That's something we've always called a 'swamp cooler'. I forgot about it, but we're going to do that too. It works!

- i don't think i've ever heard it called it that. i don't remember what my grandmother called it, though. she was born and lived in minnesota so i doubt she called it a swamp cooler. :) it is really effective. i remember her doing it right after dinner so the house was pleasantly cool to sleep in. for some reason "swamp cooler" makes me think of new orleans/louisiana... lmao 😂

Oh, it's definitely a Southern name! lol I live in Texas. I would think that most everyone here, add in Oklahoma, and then all the way across to the Atlantic Ocean would instantly know what you mean if you say that. :)

- i was curious what a "swamp cooler" was called by my grandmother so i asked my aunt. i described what i was talking about and she came right out with the term "swamp cooler" for it also. she said that that's what my grandmother called them, too. at least she couldn't remember her calling them anything else. so it looks like my faulty memory is playing tricks with me again. 😆
