Those neighbors are...I'm glad the house I rent is just far enough away from neighbors so I don't tend to run into drama like that >.<

i will yell with you lol! If i don't know who it is i can't go to the housing boss. I can put down a complain but they won't do much with it.

i thought so to, need to keep all my neighbours close and not make a fight with them.

i don't have much trouble with my neighbours but we had some leave and got new people in the flat. Some people just think they can make noise whenever they want.

I did sleep better tonight, only the boys (cats) woke me up at 4am and then 7:30 am. I was not happy at 4am, did not mind 7:30 am as i had to get up for an online meeting.

I finally had contact wth the company of the product what gave me rash. Sadly i had to call them out public and they finally replied. They handled it nicely. Aplogize, need to send the product to them (did) and i got a giftcard of €65,-

We're having a blizzard! o3o/

It started about the time I arrived to work this morning, and I was only there for 40 minutes before they sent me home. Took me like 2 1/2 hours to get home, because it'd already accumulated to 2 inches and hasn't slowed at all. We're supposed to be getting an inch and hour and this is going to continue until 4.

I'm excited though. I've been craving a good snow xD

I'm great. I've been just chilling at home playing sims, mostly. We ended up getting 7 inches! That's the most I think I've ever seen us get in my lifetime.

glad you are safe. We haven't had any snow for ages/years. We do have sometimes bad freeze weather and the roads are bad but that's it. We did had snow when i was a kid but the last years we hardly get any snow

I'm in Florida so it's not really cold here. We had a few cold days in December but that seems to be all the cold we'll be getting XD

On Friday early morning my bird Peep passed away. We knew his health was declining and he'd probably pass away soon. Brian made a big deal about Christmas this year because he thought it would be Peep's last. We did our best to get him healthy but he is an oldish bird and we wanted him to pass away at home and not at the Vet's (Loki passed away during a vet visit due to a heart attack most likely due to a tumor that was more severe than any of us previously thought*).

Brian and I thought Peep would make it to Saturday which would allow our friend Kelly (that we refer to as Aunt Kelly to our birds) to see him possibly one last time.

Brian had been checking the parakeet cage every morning because he had been that worried. He came screaming into our room getting me up.

We're currently making plans for his burial. We hold a funeral for all of our birds.

Hi y'all, how have you been?

I was enjoying a week of holiday in lockdown. The schools were closed this week and I couldn't bear another week of working while also entertaining my son. We watched all the Hobbit, LOTR and Shrek movies together, as well as the first two HP movies, so it was a productive week, lol! It turns out that these movies are not so scary for a five year old if you tell them exactly what's going to happen in advance. Good thing I reread the Hobbit and LOTR last year, because I hadn't seen some of these movies for over 15 years. It's actually the first time for me watching the HP movies. I always refused to see them because they will spoil my image of the book, and I must say I do really like the books a lot better sofar.

I go back to work tomorrow, and I've planned to send out another application during my lunch break.

Oh, I love the Hobbit and LotR! Billy Boyd was at the last convention I went to and I got a picture with him. He also had a panel where people could ask him questions about working on LotR, and someone asked him to sing Edge of Night for us and he did. I really wish I'd had my phone on me in that moment to film it, but I was in line to talk to him as well and had left it at my chair.

The HP movies do a decent job at adapting the books. Though I remember when I first saw the Sorcerer's Stone I was confused why Snape was so nice XD

Having read the books multiple times I wasn't sure if the story completely came across in the first two movies. I have the feeling there's a lot of foreshadowing and background in the books and the movies were a lot more superficial in this regard. I wonder what it's like watching the movies if you have no prior knowledge of the books. Not that I didn't like the movies, but some of the scenes just seem really short in comparison to the books.

We had his funeral yesterday. After that I took a nice nap and later that night I got really bad acid reflux.

Had a busy/long day yesterday with an online meeting from 9am till noon and had an eveningshift ater that. Home at 11:30pm. In bed around 1:30am and my boys (cats) woke me several times and i gave up around 9am and got out of bed. Guess who are quiet now... oh man! Anyway another evening shift today and then 3 days off.

Tomorrow we have a new press con. with the new cabinet ministers (took them a year to get a new one) and we will hear if we are still in lockdown or not. Everyone is calling to cancel it as we are the only country in europe in a lockdown. It's nuts and they don't ave a valid reason anymore.

My harddrive failed yesterday. Turned off the computer Tuesday and it was fine but Wednesday morning it wouldn't work. Took a few hours of trying before giving up on the harddrive. My brother had another one which he wiped and put on windows for me. Didn't get it in a working form until about 11pm. Didn't help that I was running on just 3 hours sleep. I keep waking up between 3 and 4 in the morning but night before last I couldn't fall back to sleep, then had the computer fail and was out for half the day and then my brother was working on my computer the rest of the day/night. I hadn't backed up in ages so lost a lot of stuff. Have a lot to do to put everything that I can back. Fun times.

Been partly mia before yesterday because of packing up Christmas. We decorate a lot so it takes some time to put away. Nice to have it away now so we can get back to unpacking my mom's moving boxes and sorting that stuff, but also kinda sad 'cause the decorations make the house feel cozy. I think we'll be spending the rest of the winter cleaning things out for donations and selling (if anyone is still buying since everyone else did their clear outs the last two year).

Some of the press con information leaked already. Hair dressers will be open again, as well as some shops. Adults can do sports outside again. Sadly the restaurants and culture remains closed, and still a lockdown.

Having a hard drive fail really sucks. These days I put the important documents, such as a copy of my tax declaration forms in Google drive so even when my hard drive fails I also have them there.
