Well lockdown day 1 here and it's busy on the streets! I live near a shopping center and it's as busy as normal. Hello.... lockdown... I am staying where i am...

Well i do need to take out my trash and post some mail but then back home.

- will those people going to the shopping center get in trouble since you're in lockdown? i understand why they're going but will the government be lenient and let them get their last minute things with out problems? i fear we're one step behind you with the lock down situation. it's getting bad here again but the powers that be are constantly touting the vaccine as the savior of all and keep blaming the rising infection and death toll to the unvaccinated. they completely ignore the break-through infections. how long is your lockdown going to be?

- poor little jora. at this point i think i would take him to the vet whether or not he stops laying eggs. i hope he feels better soon.how are you doing? still frazzled i bet. if i could i'd give you some chcamomile tea to help. :)

We're going to the vet on Tuesday, sooner if he seems worse. We made some calcium rich things for him but he isn't eating them for the most part >.<

I have millet in his cage just so I know he's eating something. The few parts of the day I allow him out to interact with Navi, he will go into her cage and eat from her food bowls. There are two food bowls in her cage as when Jorah's feeling good, he does tend to spend time in there so there can't be one food bowl or else it'd be a bloodbath.

I probably should be separating Navi and Jorah more but the only time he moves around, flies, poops, and eats food is when he's spending time with her.

I'm nervous. Taking more CBD than normal to keep myself calm. Think I drank too much tea today as I'm starting to feel nauseous now XD

Here in Almere it was pretty quiet yesterday. I had to hand in some books at the library and there was almost nobody in the city centre.

I have the feeling that the shortage over here is in many sectors. The vacancy I applied for was open for at least a month before I decided to apply.

well not precisely... they can go and visit the supermarket and pharmacy. And it's the same here as there with you, blaming the unvacinated but the vaccinated don't always follow the rules to.. Lockdown is until january 14.. :(

But they are haning around the square and chatting, etc and that is a nono. I went to the supermarket after work and boy it was busy, loads of people on the square, talking etc. We can't be more then with 2 persons at a time. How will they see this trough. Did see some police but they just hand out warnings... sheesh.

Oh just found out i missed a day of melody.. how could i forget a day?? Seems i missed out on day 9

- i figured it was like that over there but didn't know for sure. i fear what will happen when the pandemic related welfare/unemployment runs out and those relying on it will have to go back to work. they don't want to now because the relief pays better. honestly, i wouldn't want to go back to work if it meant a pay cut either. ugh. sometimes i'm glad i'm disabled. :(

- your country made our news this morning. your lockdown is being touted as an exampole of what will happen here if we don't stop our evil unvaccinated ways. i wonder what the politicians will use as a stick if suddenly everyone in the country was completely vaccinated. i hope your christmas plans haven't been messed up. how did you miss a melody? it doesn't really matter though because this year you can miss 2 melody days and still get the achievements. there was a news post and it was done because of the server crashes causing some to miss it. as for the items, you can probably find them for sale somewhere. i don't even remember what they were.

I can understand about missing a Melody. I've come close because I've been so certain I've visited her. Only thing that's saved me is that I like to get a few ornament boxes per day.

Jorah was moving around a lot more today and willing to spend more time away from his eggs. So hopefully that means no more eggs.

Clutches are 2-6 eggs on average so hopefully three eggs is his limit.

Hanging outside with a group is indeed against the rules. I sometimes see a group of young people outside setting of fireworks (also against the rules), but otherwise it's mostly quiet in Almere. My dog gets very scared of the fireworks though :(

I can understand not wanting to go back to work if you get more with the relief. I think many people would choose the relief over working.

It's been a tough times for everyone. I hope you are doing alright and the self care paid off.

Oh it was?! Wow. Well if not sure what they will use next time, but here we are about fed up with it all. I had no plans for christmas as i am working with christmas. Will have dinner at my parents. New years we used to visit family on new years day, but that is a no no so sticking home and watch movies in my pj;s.

@ I have no idea how i missed a day, i know i worked that day but no clue. And i saw the news post i can miss a day, lucky. No each day before i shop price (last thing i do before i logout for the day) i check (twice) if i did melody.

it's still busy here and way to many people. I can understand people are bored but stay home or go somewhere else. Not stick around the little shopping area here. I am only going to work and supermarket, other then that i am home.

Same here. I go outside to walk my dog or to go to the supermarket. I had to go to the library this weekend because otherwise I would get a fine for handing in the books too late.

ortho appt went well. achilles tendon did rupture but it didn't dislodge . ddoc said just to wear a brace (boot) while it heels and i should be right as rain in a couple of months. i'm happy. i was scared i'd need surgery to fix it. :D

- how are you holding up? how's jora? how'd the vet appt go? i'm glad he seems to have stopped at 3. :)

- this morning's news had a blurb that the pres was going to hold a press conference today about how the omicron varient is the dominant strain here now and what he proposes we do about it. it was said that the varient has given us crippling statistics as far as new infections and deaths are concerned. what was amusing was that the aide that announced the press conference stated very clearly that the pres was not going to order a lockdown. i suspect it will be more of the same - him (and all the others) pleading for the unvaccinated to stop their tantrums and get vaccinated so it will all go away. i'm glad the lock down isn't messing up yur plans too much. i think a movie and popcorn sound like a good new yearseve activity. :)

- oh your poor dog. :( i don't blame them for choosing pandemic relief over a minimum wage job. problem is, they're all going to be scrambling when the relief goes poof. suddenly the job market will be inundated with desperate people who need the paycheck now to pay the rent because the relief went poof weeks ago and they're late on their bills. thinking about that made me realize now is the best time to look for your dream job. a derth of competition gives you the pick of the crop.. :)

Vet said that Jorah is healthy and gave us some instructions on how to try and stop him having eggs. So hopefully that works. If not next time I'll send him to my regular vet.

haha, nope. I was actually kind of relieved the library was still open, because I could get books to read to my son now, so we'll have something to do now the school is closed. I got a book by Paul van Loon and reading it made me remember how I enjoyed his Griezelbus books as a child. He's too young for those, but he's enjoying the book we got.

Good that you don't need surgery! That must be a relief! You're right, it might be better to look for a job now. I thought real hard about my application and today I'm going to write them that I'll respectfully withdraw myself from the process. I really hate doing these things, I'm too much of a people pleaser.

Hi everyone. Hamilton was amazing live in person. Got to see the Broadway touring cast last week. Wow. I didn’t have a completely crying breakdown the whole dealing with the unimaginable to the end, tearing up just thinking.
Been sick and stressed which is usual for this time of year. Finished prepping for the holiday. Still need to do stockings on here maybe.

I love our library here. The website is great and I can put books on hold and they will deliver it to the car if I am having symptoms. Also has books I can download for free and audio books.

I disappear on here a lot. No problem. I check in on subeta every day and just say nothing.

- i was worried but now i'm relieved that they won't have to do surgery. i understand what you mean about hating to withdraw yourself but sometimes you need to look out for yourself.:)

- if the unvaccinated suddenly got vaccinated the powers that be wouldn't know who to blame for the continued break-through infections. right now they're trying to say it's all because there is a shortage of covid testing kits available. XD i'm glad you've got your confirmation. hopefully they won't schedule it for too far in the future.
