I slept in.. well still a bit to early darn cats. Had a pj morning, wrote some last Christmas cards, had some blood drawn (just checkup), supermarket and now on the couch watching the Christmas movies I taped during the weekend

I had blood drawn recently and the lady poked me in a place that really did not want to be poked. I should have forced her to draw blood from my hands as the spot hurt hours afterwards and now I have a small bruise.

I am not easy to draw blood from as my veins like to roll so people think they have a good vein and then NOPE!

well they had to sick me 3 times as my veins kept rolling away and then went to my other arm and was done in seconds. Hope i woun't get a nasty bruise tomorrow

has anyone attempted to navigate the mess that is the cw sale? i'm loaded up with csc but haven't been able to get anything to load. had hubby here to tell me what stuff looked like but no love. i hope things settle down so i can at least get the stuff on my wishlist.

i love all kind of christmas movies. Favorites are: Home Alone 1 & 2, The Santa Clause 1 & 2. But love those cheesy ones to.

I don't have enough csc to get stuff and well i find it hard to find items. Gave up

i like those christmas movies too. i don't like the cheesy hallmark or lifetime ones. i think i'm a bit too cynical for them. lol

i don't blame you for not going to the cw sale. it's a hot mess. there are only 2 things i actually want and i'll get them sale or no sale. but i did go to gryphengrl's cw shop to see her bunnies but couldn't get anything to load for hubby to describe. :( plus the buttons to click had weird stuff on them that didn't make sense. i'm going to try again later.

oh, and more bad news. when i sprained my ankle at the end of october i did more than just sprain it. it wasn't healing so i saw the doc for it and found out that i ruptured my achilles tendon. called the orthopedic surgeon but he doesn't know when he can see me. i'm not happy right now. :(

So my cockatiel Jorah is actually female but we just call him he because we didn't know he was a female when we got him. Cockatiels can lay eggs without a male present but none of my birds have ever laid an egg before.

A little backstory before I go on: we've noticed that Navi hasn't been pooping like normal so when Jorah started acting odd we got worried. When he went to a corner of his cage and wasn't really moving and would actually allow me to touch him, we both panicked.

So...I was on the phone with an emergency vet place trying to figure out when we could bring Jorah in as I thought he was a few hours away from death. Just as I'm setting up an appointment for early this morning Brian goes, "Hey, Jash! Is that an egg!"

I rush over and sure enough Jorah laid an egg. So I'm trying to stop myself from laughing my ass off on the phone and explain to the person on the phone what was going on.

- omg, what a hoot! i can imagine your chagrin at the whole situation. i can see the whole progression from distress to relief . i've been there with beloved pets. i'm very glad jora is ok and that it turned out to be just an egg. :)

got the cw sale to finally work for me and got everything i wanted except 2 things. oh well, can't have everything...

ortho's office called and i have an appt with him on the 21st. hopefully they'll just boot it and send me on my way. fingers crossed.

- i felt a duty to ping you on all those because you'd been having a crappy week and i thought it would lighten your spirit. :Dyeah, i got the important things but i came across gryphengrl's shop and saw she had autumnal bunnies and i wanted one but didn't have enough csc for it. so i'll save up. i was surprised that the doc had an appt on the 21st. i thought i'd have to wait until february or something. nice surprise to get an appt that quick. :D

Now we just have to deter him from laying more eggs. We hard boiled her egg tonight and are going to start changing up his cage slightly. The latter is supposed to help deter birds from laying more eggs. Me and Brian don't want to remove Jorah's egg as he is highly protective of it, though it might help him stop laying more eggs.

And good job with the appointment! I've had to wait half a year for an appointment one time.

- wait. what? o.o you hard boiled jora's egg? how did you get it away from him? or is it a different egg and you're going to do a switch when he's distracted? sorry but this still has me giggling. y'all in a kerfluffle over it... i know nothing about birds except what's common knowledge for everyone. if you take the egg will he freak and lay another one? is that what the hard boiled egg is supposed to deter? won't he notice it's been cooked?

yeah, i know, right. it takes forever to get an initial doc appointment anymore. when i had to see an endocrinologist it took t6 months to get in. i'm hoping that i got the appt quickly because of a cancelation and not because the doc sucks and has no patients. lol

i went through the kindred spirits active users list and was surprised at how many there are. i guess they're all on discord?

I had a long day at work (short staffed so had to stay longer), went away in the dark and came home with dark. Dinner, shower and now lazy in pj at 7:30pm and not doing much as i have to work again tomorrow

it sucks but what can you do? And yes i do get compensated for it.

I am still waithing for my booster vaccin. Work is slow and still no email/letter, etc to get it. They told us we where getting it this week. It's thursday evening and nothing. It's ridiculus we have to wait so long for it..
