Evil Vampiric Penguins! I now has needs!

I'm not big on zombie fiction unless the characters stand out. Do love Shaun of the Dead.

But I don't have a favorite.

The book World War Z is one of the best pieces of zombie fiction I've read. Will not see the movie because it's nothing like the book. The book is unique and the movie is standard Hollywood fare.

I'm sorry my tree isn't well behaved. But it makes sense that a tree owned by a raven wouldn't be well behaved XD

oh my goodness now I have vampire penguin in my head. The empire kind waddling after us oh, dear.

I don't like zombies but I watch some of the less gory horror stuff. I sometimes freak out during survival. It is bad. I go full anxiety attack when they did/do commercials for the walking dead. Yuck.

most of the time i don't even notice it goes dark but just some days when it's gloomy it gets dark sooner i think. And my parents doys always run over the christmas tree and i think my boys will do to, lol!

Meez (my red cat) just gave me a scare, gave hi mand mooz anti flea stuff in his neck and Meez ate the cap of the pipette. Called the vet as cats don’t trow up easy and it’s plastic. I had to come so they first can give him some food and then some meds to make him vomit and hopefully he will be rid of the cap. Now Mooz is home alone with me and he misses his brother and is looking for him. He is always close by me but now more closer. Waithing fort he call about Meez.

Update: he is fine! The cap is out of his body, it did not even had chew marks on it. He is home still a bit groggy and smells funny (they used a bit of anesthesia to get the meds in). Keeping a big eye on him the rest of the day.

Started working at a new daycare today! o3o/ I'm there right now, actually. I get to have my computer during nap, which is cool. Been a good first day so far, granted definitely got the first day anxieties. >.<

Ay, it's now dawning on me just how very close Christmas is though, and I have hardly any shopping done...and no money. I need payday to come quickly!

- rofl! that's exactly the kind i imagined. you should make that as a cw. i'd buy it. lol i know zombie flicks aren't for everyone. the flicks i would avoid involved spiders like arachnophobia or demons like in jacov's ladder. could not watch either of those movies at all. o.o
- what age group did they put you with? little kids can be so funny sometimes.

- now you've done it. hordes of vampiric penguins taking over luminaire... what ever will melody do? never saw world war z or read it. i'll put it on my list. i don't watch zombie movies for the plot. they never have any. i watchthem for the wanton distruction. watching a huge helicopter scythe through a horde of zombies was cathartic and amazingly funny.if your tree keeps misbehaving, you may find a pile of coal under it. :P i noticed you changed your forum title. how did you get that one?

- poor meez. i'm glad he's ok but that had to be scary. poor mooz wondering where his brother disappeared to. having pets is so much like having kids. you have to watch them constantly and they get into everything. you know, i had to look up what you were referring to when you said cullen in reference to vampires. i had no clue. i've never read the twilight series. i saw some reviews that said the vampires sparkled and i just couldn't pick it up after that.did you like it?

off to stuff more gifts under trees...

I have kids from 1-5 years old. They really are! I have several funny stories from my years in childcare. xD

28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later are both good zombie flicks. Both had solid characters you could root for. The helicopter kill came in the second one I think and, yeah, it's awesome.

I know there were plans for a third but with so long since the last update and the fact the world is going through a pandemic...I can understand if a possible third movie is delayed even longer or if it never happens.

As for Twilight. Is it a good book series? No. But it falls into the so bad it's good niche. I've read the series multiple times. Breaking Dawn is my fav in the series because that's when the writing gets really insane O.O

I never read twilight. I try to have some standards XD. But I did read the first books of the extremely cringeworthy series called The Atlantis Grail. If you're ever looking for another bad teenage drama...

I'm halfway through the next wheel of time series book (the eye of the world). It reads a bit like a D&D campaign, so I'm loving it!

- you have the patience of a saint if you regularly work in child care. there were times when wished i could duct tape my kids to the wall. never did it but the duct tape came out of the drawer a few times... lol

- thanks for the correction. i always get those two movies mixed up. is twilight enough of a train wreck to be worthy of the audibles credits? i kknow that i've read some abysmal stuff but i don't want to spend money on something if it has no redeeming qualities other than being so badly written. thanks for looking that up. i wasn't playing subeta then so that's why i didn't recognize it. :)

- good luck on your job interview tomorrow! eye of the world does read like a d&d campaign. probably why i liked it so much. i also like trying to match the cultures in the books to cultures in the real world. i'm glad you're enjoying the book. :)

Twilight has vampires and werewolves so it's not just bad teenage drama. There's some fantasy element to it. Vampires aren't impressive but the werewolves are good. Minus the imprinting. OMFG!

The only bad non-fantasy ya series I watched was Pretty Little Liars. I started watching it and couldn't stop.

I've read the series multiple times so if you're interested, at least check out the first book. There are some good elements to it. Alice Cullen is awesome throughout the series. Leah (a werewolf) is good but...she is sadly abused and misused in the series.

I have read all the Twilight books multiple times, saw the movies multiple times and well i love them First book and last book are my favorite.

Had a nice day at work until 2:15 pm. We had a temp to work a eveningshift as we are short staffed. Long story short i have never been in my life so mad at someone within 5 minutes! She was rude, did not listen, did not want to work when she found out where we wanted here, she was threatening to leave and well more. I had to call my boss and help me. She did stay at the end but already pissed of all the day and evening staff. Will hear more about it tomorrow when i work with the people who worked with her yesterday.

Oh and today i locked myself out keys in the door on the inside and the spare key would not fit. Had to call the housing manager for help. 1 hour later i was in the door. Pff i need a break of this week!

I've been told that a lot. xD I've been an early childhood educator for about 4 1/2 years now. It is really frustrating at times, but it's gotten easier with time as I've learned how to better work with kids. You never know what to expect from them though xD

Is anyone ready for the holidays? I've hardly gotten any shopping done! Running out of time! D=

- i'll add it to the end of my list and may even read it if i can get it for free somewhere... yeah, i know, don't knock it 'till you try it but aside from you guys i've heard nothing good about it.

- i'm gladmeez is ok. he may be a nutter of a cat but he's your cat.sorry you had such a rotten 2 days. hopefully it'll get better from here. i always hated when the home health sent a temp nurse because most of the time they were rude, incompetent, and acted like i should be thankful anyone showed up at all. sad thing is that complaining did little good as they needed the temps to fill in when the regular nurses had days off. i still complained to everyone hoping that the right person would eventually hear me and do something. do you have to work the weekend? if so i hope it goes smoothly. :)

I like Christmas trees and decorations. I'm ready for that but for everything else...meh...

Back when the original Twilight books were coming out it was popular to say bad things about the series without reading it. But recently people are being less harsh with their criticisms about the series.

- lol, i know. you have to watch kids like a hawk because they are little imps. all my holiday shopping is done. got the last item in the mail yesterday. as for decorations, i used to be the driving force behind my family decorating. now that i can't see the decorations no one bothers any more. last year no one bothered to wrap their gifts either. it was the most un-christmas christmas i've ever had. that's not going to happen this year. no decorations maybe but we're going to wrap the gifts this year, darnit.

- i'm going to give it a serious look when i'm done with anne rice. forgot how ... eh...sensual...her books are. i must be getting old. rofl i'll take yours and emory's words that it's worth the shot.

Have you delved into her Sleeping Beauty series (think it's a trilogy)? Now that's kinky stuff right there that I'm probably not going to read. Mainly because the Prince doesn't wake her up with just a kiss. He goes further O.O'

I think Rice stopped writing it because she became frightened of how much her fans like that series.

I had crap few days since wednesday. And still crap as i have a darn cold and my head is about to explode due a headache. Took a covid home test, no covid so just a cold (no temp) but no fun at all. But still woring this weekend with evening shifts, paracetamol helps.

Meez is doing fine, thank god. The temp did stay but she was not a happy camper, nor where my co-workers.

Did not lock myself out anymore, thankfully.

I need this week to be over and start the new week with fun stuff. Not sure what for fun stuff but anything better then this week.
