My feedback/suggestion is that the eyes on the new one look .... worried? apologetic? They look like a dog who accidentally bit you and then does that sad puppy scared face. I know nothing about "animal anatomy" to tell you how to fix it, just that I think it looks off, especially compared to the old happy face. And the back front arm (so like, the manchu's front right arm from teh perspective of the manchu) looks really smooth? Like plastic? Not necessarily the shading, but the fact that it doesnt seem like FUR.
I really dig the addition of the fluffy fur, but the colors on the new one feel a bit muted. I'd rather see the colors have the same brightness as the original.

Omg the new revamp art for this pet is sooo adorable <333 makes me think of spider monkey! <3
Quit this stupid dumbass site... YOU FUCKING SUCK
I like both actually. The new one is a lot sleeker looking though. I feel like the tail should remain just a bushy as the current one. That would be my only suggestion.

I love the new look! The pose is similar but different enough (to me it looks more natural - I never liked the way the older version's left paw was off the ground, as that looked awkward to me ;)). I definitely agree on losing the wing flaps, as they seemed odd in the first place :P The shading looks a load better, and the texture is great! I want to shove my hand through my computer monitor to ruffle the fur :P
If I was to suggest anything as an edit, it'd be for the tail to dip down a little over the back / between the ears, and be slightly longer, but even if the revamp stayed as it is, I'd actually consider getting my first Manchu as my next pet :D

I wish the revamp has a tilted head like the original. It just adds so much personality. I'm not big on the expression either. The old one looks mischievous (like the news post says they're supposed to be), curious, and tricky while the new one looks worried, confused, and a little glass-eyed.
I also miss the nice curve of the old tail. The new one is straight and boring.
I think the tail should be a bit longer. Thats my favorite feature about the manchu!

Contrary to my usual habit, I actually voted against the redesign this time.
The art is amazing, the pose is close to the old one (albeit a little bit less dynamic) and I love how fluffy it is, but I really disagree with the loss of those wing flaps. It's just my personal opinnion, but I feel that without them, the Manchu is just an oddly colored lemur rather than an original creature. It's what made it special.
If the wing flaps are added to the new design, I'm all for it. If you also make the new pose a little more dynamic and playful again, you are awesome.

I am another one who is not a fan of the head/expression. I think the eyes and the tilt of the head are what bothers me, and I prefer the old one. Love the rest of it though.
i love the redesign, but like a lot of other people here it seems, i prefer the wing flaps to stay and the ears altered. maybe you could make the flaps less "sheer" looking, less translucent and more like real gliding mammals...
This revamp reminds me of the fester revamp, though I'm kinda flip-flopped from my position on that one. I loved the old fester and was kinda super dismayed at the new design. I've never been into manchus and if the art was pushed as-is it would seem like an improvement to me, but even though I feel neutral about the manchu, and I really enjoy the new art, I am glad you guys have this thread for suggestions. Even if it's just the tiniest bit updated from this in the end. It sucked seeing the new festers lose the appeal the old one had, despite much improved art. So I hope you guys take the advice of all the manchu lovers on this thread! Liven up its face a lil and fix the ear adjustments, fluffier tail, its hands look a lil "detatched" from the fur around it but maybe that's a common look for irl lemurs idk?- - it seems small but it means a lot when it's one of your favorite pets on the site.(Idk how solidified you are on the wings, I really liked that design and agree that "realistic" fuzzy ones ala sugar glider would be cute, but sorry for complaining about that too much if you're already decided)
A+ art as usual, thanks for all your work subeta art team.
I think the eye issue is going to be a super easy fix; it's a matter of just rounding off the black lineart above the blue patch around its eye. Just using my fingers to cover those small areas changes the expression completely.
An earlier poster hit the nail on the head with the tail issue... It needs to come outward more starting from the base and perhaps make the tail longer and curled back like on the original pose. Either way, it's the base that's throwing it off. It's not flowing right.
I will not miss the arm flaps. I didn't even notice them until they were pointed out XP
>New one has bettre art >Old one is cuter and has more playfulness

I like the deeper coloring and the details on the revamp, but I prefer the eyes on the old manchu. Good job on the revamp. This is just my opinion.

I love the redesign :3 If they become a permanent thing I'm probably going to get one ^o^/
I think the expression is lost on the new one. And also the tail looks stiff. The overallness of art on the new one is better, but it looks a bit sad or worried and like it's stiffed up for some reason.
I like the revamp but the front legs feel /really/ stiff for some reason. I think the wing flaps should be kept, removing them goes from flying lemur to just 'blue lemur'. The head's a lot smaller and the tail's quite a bit shorter. Both things should be tweaked a bit, imo. Other than that, I like the revamp - the shading is beautiful.
