Removing the main shops is genuinely the stupidest idea I have ever heard this site come up with, and there have been A LOT of stupid ideas.
Make the shops more interesting, put items into more sP sink heavy shops like Magic Box and ATG, combine shops like Weapons Warehouse + Defend and Conquer together etc etc. There are so many ways to revamp the main shops without axeing them for a new and bizarre system.
THE FEEDBACK FORM WORKS NOW. Those were the questions being fixed to have actual scales instead of the old scales.
The people on this forum (feedback) typically are way more vocal than most users. Already the feedback coming in paints a different picture. 70% of people so far have answered 1-3 on the how much time question. I'll obviously be interested to see it progress over the next few days.
Data just paints a different picture of the number of users who restock, so while I feel bad for making changes to a system that there are users who have an attachment to and really enjoy, it's just not something that most users participate in.
I never said we were removing main shops.

This is a brilliant point, is that taken into account in calculations?
Yeah, I answered 3 for how often I restock. If you asked me how much time I quest, my answer is 0. If you ask me how much time I play games in the game room, my answer is also 0.
So, 3 is relative.
For sure, I think that this will be pretty unscientific except for the boxes where you can write in things. Those are always interesting (... a lot of users answering BHH for "what shop would you like to have more stock in" right now... sigh)
We also have our google analytic tracking data that shows what pages on the site get the most traffic, and how they funnel there. So it's absolutely possible to extract when people go from shop -> shop search -> buy item in same shop from step 1. I'll set up that funnel tonight and start tracking data from it, that's a really good point !

Your posts really make it sound that way so you may want to clarify a bit more.
This makes it sound like main shops are going to be removed and replaced with currency/point based shops or whatever.
I think that moving away from restocking is... not wise. I do not see the value in removing a feature that people enjoy (and how the hell would we get the items for questing if it all moved to a more holiday/special shop thing?). I like having the event shops because it does drive participation, but what are we supposed to do the rest of the time?
To be quite honest, the site has been boring enough for me as it is. All the events are the same grind rinse and repeat. The minion zoo is more grinding that is duplicating the battle system and I have no interest in it. So a++ for just making the site more and more monotonous.
[edit] Ah, I see the clarification that the change is the trend for new items. That is slightly better so my feedback above is slightly not applicable; however, I do think that leaving the main shops to rot without new items is stupid. Why have a feature you don't update?
That's where we're trending for the majority of new items, sorry!

My question for that is - how does restocking change that / make it interesting?
💖 ✨ 🤗
Well, I do work for a survey firm! So naturally, I learned things about that in the five years I've been there.
So I feel like the survey is ok, but could be better, considering it's going to be hard to scale how often people restock compared to other things.
Meaning, I restock a lot more than I quest, vend or play games, but I restock way less than I take part in events, or resell from the cash shop.
See what I mean!
But why is a revamp of the current shops not possible? Combining shops and adding more items into the higher sP shops seems like a decent way to remove some sP. Even if not a lot is going out via main shops, I kind of worry about losing that extra sP sink if people lose interest and start going for the point based things only.
(to be clear - I love the quest shop and other currencies, just don't want to see a part of the site sacrificed for them!)
I like the unpredictability of restocking a lot! I find it fun and excited to try and catch new items or a rare. And when 90% of subeta these days seems to be the same old grind, that helps.
By why is that different than releasing them in say... the MC? Or skitters? That way people who have the sP can buy the items that they want (items don't get removed when purchased).
So far the two biggest suggestions are getting rid of the 5 second rule entirely, and making it so that items in the main shops have hovers.

^ this.
Thank you for the feedback survey - I really, really hope restocking sticks around. I like the competition part of it, it's part of playing the game.

Tbh I thought that's what everyone did. To outright buy from a main shop without double checking it if it would be cheaper in a user shop or not, is foolish, and not how restocking / making money from restocking works imo. Keith seems to have overlooked this, but then again I'm 99% sure he doesn't play this site like a regular player, nor does he restock, himself.
From a sink perspective it's no different, but it removes a way for people to actually make sP off buying the items =/. A lot of people don't like questing and chopping down an aspect of making sP that is reliable and has been around since the site started doesn't seem like a great idea?
Though I will say I've been wondering for ages why the MC isn't used more for items, it's a great shop and I kinda feel like the SBQ makeup should have been based in there instead.
I'm not Flux, but I can answer that : Skitters and MC have niches that do not fit every item I'd like to see onsite!
Millionaire Center is good for high-range items, but for more mid-range items, it's not an option!
As for Skitters, he's really niche. If it's not dead, rotting or in pieces, it doesn't belong there!
I think the 5 second rule should stay, it gives a better chance at those with slower computers. As far as the hovers go, that could be interesting :)

Yeah, Ariel and I don’t decide when to bring those back. We always talk with the Battle Admins first and let them do their thing haha. We aren’t going to do more wearable books, sorry! We do plan on changing all those items (sry nicole richie) to items You’ll still be able to get items from that shop, it’ll just be from a different place rather than the shop :x We are getting rid of the shop because we hardly ever add anything to it. It’s been years. There are other areas of the site we need to focus on, tbh. We have so many restockable shops and some of them are horribly neglected and will continue to be. it’s better to focus their stock somewhere else really. That isn’t our thought on it at all. Would you rather the shop continue to be neglected or actually get cool space-related things? We have a lot of things planned for stargazer and things we can continue to add to it. Atebus shop is the last one we planned on removing! I don’t agree with you on the useless items list. I know plenty of people that love foods (and very angrily get upset when we haven’t added some in a while haha). Collections are a big thing for some people just like pets are a big thing for others or wearables.
I would actually like to see smaller restocks of the main shops, (I thought about it after I submitted my survey which may or may not have glitched on me). It is kinda annoying to have like 79657534 items in there... maybe clearing the stock a bit more frequently? Not sure, and this is probably an unpopular opinion.
I would like hovers, mainly so I could see the rarity of the item, but really I don't think it is that big of a deal.
I don't think the 5 second rule should be removed, though.
For the form feedback - I would like hovers to be added since it takes like 1 second to shop search it and get the hover in a new tab anyway. Just removes an extra annoying step :P. I would like the 5 second rule to remain or perhaps be lowered to 3 seconds. People shouldn't be able to buy entire stacks of items instantly.
