Not to mention that they are so desperate to release new items that they forget to revamp or remove older and outdated items. The wardrobe itself is being neglected because of the wardrobe. Do you see what I mean? I hope so.

Since the wardrobe/HA-making is my personal favourite part of the site, I can't say I'm viscerally upset about this, but yeah, it's pretty unfair to users who don't come here for that.

I don't mind mucking around in the wardrobe but why we need sixty recolours of the same item is just beyond me. [sub]also I'm probably totally biased but it just makes me sad when I realize that if a tenth of the effort that went into new wear releases was put into the bc, we'd have a scroll library and a cap raise by now.[/sub]

The wardrobe is the only collection I bother with, so I don't mind all the wearables. :P Still, I don't mind other things (plushies, stickers, etc.) being released.

I will say that I don't actually want to see the trading cards updated. We're always hearing about how much work everyone already has. The newer style of trading cards require a lot of art, and I'd rather that energy be focused elsewhere. (Like pet colors)

Mazes & Mahars has been abandoned anyway, and no trading cards have been released in years. I'm ok with them just fading into obscurity.

Artists and programmers aren't interchangeable, so this argument is never valid.

it wasn't so much an argument as a lamentation of that imbalance. :')

No, but budget is. This site has broken achievements, 'useable' items that don't work as represented, miscategorized items, inconsistent page templates -- all tell-tale signs that some help on the technical/coding side could be well put to use.

The last trading cards were released during, or shortly before Subeta's 10th anniversary. So, a little less than a year ago.

Revamping the trading cards and drawing pets are not mutually exclusive. Both can be done, but having the really ugly card backs as items does not give a good image of Subeta. They are confusing, and we all want Subeta to be more user-friendly. Having them being unique items instead of card backs would actually help.

These are some of the cards released last year. It's pretty depressing to see that old art in the news.

I agree on the imbalance part. I would also like to see more restockable and less event items. I added up the things: you need around 4.5k in trinkets for al the wears but only 600 or so lounge trinkets :/

I like the wardrobe but I started subeta as a pet person and most of my energy in general has been focused more on pets than avatars currently. I do agree that there has been a disproportionate amount of non wardrobe items released lately, and while I don't necessarily mind it because the artwork is indeed pretty I do agree other items that it'd be nice if there were non wardrobe items being released.

I loved when the site was doing all the minion releases simply because there was something at the time that was not wardrobe related that was being released. It was a nice break from having wearables being the items that were constantly being released.

I wouldn't mind if instead of restocking they released items into our vending machines like they do with holiday items (though we'd leave them there). Maybe they could slowly release sets of items to each machine and phase out the RSable items. I dunno. I'm bored with not getting more stickers and minions and such that aren't stuck in holiday shops. I realize wizard tokens are a special currency, but it's obtainable year-round unlike vesnali coins and etc.

Vending is limited, though, while restocking is not. Restocking really is the better way to keep a balance in what is too common and what is too rare, and there is less trial and error with this

Vending is a fine complement to restocking, but it shouldn't replace restocking! Subeta needs all of the money sinks it can get

Ah, I suppose that is true. I wasn't wanting to suggest we not put anything in the shops anymore, I should have specified. But think of how cool it would be, because we have that vending cap in place, to kind of "randomly" vend normal items not sold in the shops already. The idea sounds neat to me at the moment, but I am really tired ^^;

I think this is a really good point... I know that staff has to balance new releases vs. revamps, but the sheer number of really old wearables that don't look anything like the site's current style is pretty high. I would love for these old items to get revamps, because many of them are unusable in their current state because they don't layer well or match the other art. And on top of all of that, we're all still waiting for the beta wardrobe to be fixed/updated...

As someone who spends a lot of time and sP (and CSC) on my wardrobe, I really agree with the sentiment that there has been a bit too much emphasis on the wardrobe in the last few months. I love new wearables and appreciate how much work the artists put into them, but that's the most frequent news we get while everything else seems relatively rare in comparison. With the themes that have been happening each month, there seems to be a bit more emphasis on other parts of the site, but wearables are still on the forefront.

New pets, battle challengers (especially ones that are obtainable on site, not with CSC), NPCs for shops that don't have one, or art for other parts of the site would all be greatly appreciated. More items in shops like the Millionaire Center or Subeautique (or even restock able in the main shops) are great sP sinks. Even creating a pet species that you can buy for sP only (from the Millionaire Center or some other place) would be a great sP sink.

you are so right!

This year's Masq we got 5 beanbags and 5 plushies, that's it. Probably the same with Vesnali very soon.

tbh half of the new wears looks the same as older ones.. there's nothing really new about them. I prefer less clothes and more backgrounds, held items and the rest..

Achievements - no more tiers but more new achievements!

New lands - what about that?? time to expend and explore more..

I feel sometimes that the site has been stuck in a comfortable routine without changing too much..

I want more things other than the usual 50 shades of flavors in shirts/pant/shoes/wigs with boring item art*. I don't care if it's something like 5 clocks just in different colors. It would be something different. I'd probably want one or two of the clocks more than I would the 5 different odd colored shirts that I'd toss into my wardrobe, never use, and curse them because they're clogging my wardrobe up with their uselessness. My wardrobe is so bloated. I really want to remove a lot of the stuff I'd never use but it's too annoying to try and do just that.

Heck the recent marbles I have no problem over. I may not care for the eyes but I do love the marbles. They appeal to two types of users here. I can and do want to use them in a TC. I want more things like this instead.

*Is that what is called CI? I don't mean the wearable overlay. I hope I'm making sense. lol

I’ve been talking with artists about a few new things for the Sable Smithy. Right now, everything in that shop is used to make Genetech things and Keith wants to change the way we do genetech so it doesn’t make every item you use for it super expensive (because seriously once people find out how to make something the prices of the items generally shoot up and it’s crazy). I've suggested maybe some molds for toys or other things, though, so it isn't all just LET'S BUILD WEAPONS. Also there were so many waves to the Menagerie this year because there were some items left from last year. I’ve stated that we want to start doing less items but with high quality (like those portraits and stuff were amazing and all the lounge foods were beautiful and unique), which is why Survival had "less items" than what people were used to. Also those trading cards that were released last year were seriously added just so people could get the achievement that had been unachieveable up until that point. We’ve moved away from adding so many restockables to try to add items to different features around the site. Trash Can, Carnival Games, Forum Shop, etc. We want to get all areas some love which means for a bit some areas are neglected. We might not have had stickers in shops but we’ve had them in places like the Hustler and Quest Shops.

I’m pretty sure we are only missing the last SBQ set as an achievement? Which I’ve already posted I’ll be doing with our next release (which is happening like next week). Any others that are missed I'll make sure to get to as well.

The battle admins will have to weigh in on the lack of new weapons. I don’t want to put words any ones mouth so I can't really say much about this.

Spells Galore is highly neglected along with the Shouk. With our themed months, however, we plan on getting two these shops!

You'll be happy with our summer event then :x

I was going through the sets like 2Scare and Bonfire and I don't see them there at all. I knew you said you were going to add this past line to the next release, but I was talking about the ones that aren't showing up. If you didn't know about that that's alright. Maybe there was a mix up somewhere?

Oh, huh. I thought I added up to the last Professor New set (in January). I'll make sure to add 2Scare and Bonfire too!

BUT BASICALLY: We are trying to move away from doing a lot of items each holiday. The Masq was different because we did have items from last year left over that we needed to get out (we already paid for the art so). Survival was a good balance of items, we had minions/books/plushies/beanbags/wearables. Our Millionaire Center rotation had a little bit of everything. We are trying to hit neglected features like the trash can and carnival games (which I kind of want to update how those pages look haha). We try to add quest shop items periodically for those who do quests often. Mike and I are working on revamping the Blue Building, which will mean more items will go there (and they won't be as easy to get sorry!).

Our themed months are really helpful because it makes it easier to get items in those places. We've gotten new fruits for the space tree (andmore to come). We got new zapper exclusive minions (with more to come in the future). One of the themes we are hoping to do is going to involved the Spell Galore Shop (REVAMPS YAY) as well as get some awesome things in the Shouk. Believe me, I have a huge list of places I'd like to get items thrown into that I've shared with artists. If you notice with all the forum shop items and like today with carnival items, we try to get one of everything (beanbag, plushie, wearable, book, etc). One place I'm really excited for that we are going to get some new items for soon is the Delphi Museum!

We will be doing an sP sink soon that will involve a way for people to be able to get old restock war prizes, reading drive, etc etc so they can finish their collections. Still trying to figure out a way to get wearables out, though haha.

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread for feedback in general for things you'd like to see in other places around the site. I can't guarantee you'll get a lot of restocking things (though we do have some restockable items planned soon).

Thrift Shop event. Give X number of r1-r79 wearables = get a new wearable.
