to be honest I don't think it's totally your fault any of this has happened. One would have thought that the staff members who choose the winners would take the time to actually check the pets on the day before awarding them with the Pet Spotlight. Considering you stated that you readopted the pet the other day, which means all of its stats and profile would have been deleted, they obviously didn't bother to check prior to giving your new pet the award.

Wow- Subetans is rather whiney...mistakes happen and perhaps the system needs a little improvement or a way to check a pet before it wins spotlight but that doesn't exactly merit so much tension...

What if YOU were the one who made the mistake- I'm sure you wouldn't like it with everyone making you feel bad and ragging on what a stupid mistake it was.

My, I should say that this has gotten rather out of hand. Yes, I am fully aware that there is an option to remove a pet from the queue. No, I did not change Thea's status the second I had her transfered and for that, I will admit, I am a bad person. You all have my sincerest apology for not making that my number one priority in life. I don't know what I was thinking at the time, god forbid I had to pee or something and it slipped my mind.

Please keep in mind I meant that with a grain of sarcasm :| You all need to get over it. A mistake was made on my part but that does not call for 279 comments about how unfair life is, since thats basically what the majority of the comments are.

Oh, and in response to a few of you who said it's bs that I'm bringing in my friends to stick up for me, I've never spoken to 99% of the people here. Not a single "hello" has been said between us until this little fiasco. So please, put your pants back on, drink some juice, and calm down.

If the internets is capable of upsetting you, please re-prioritize your life. There are people out there with real problems, such as being homeless, having no parents, or I don't know, living through natural disasters.... or... NOT HAVING THE INTERNET TO GET UPSET OVER IN THE FIRST PLACE.

The fact that people wasted so much of their time posting on here and getting upset over this is so saddening to me. Oh, humanity. I'm sure the problem will be resolved. Give staff a break. Give Meat a break. And in the mean time, go watch a comedy movie or something and CALM DOWN.

Tripp - I am a mother, a wife or a retired Iraqi Vet with PTSD, A college student, and an artist. I HAVE plenty of outside time- but I still am upset over something like this. I work hard on my pet profiles, I have the right to say I think the staff just needs to review these right before they go up.

I think this is more proof that pet nominations and queued pets need to be taken away automatically when transferred. I would probably forget to check this too when I just adopt a pet :/ (I won't anymore, but 5 min ago, sure)

i think the only thing meat did wrong was to say it was a mistake, because apparently that makes people think its okay to blame her for it. god knows this feature we've had for what, 3 months, is SUCH A BIG DEAL.

i get that a big chunk of pet obsessive people are fucking psychotic about their pets. but you dont see avatar-obsessive people whining at others for mentioning ugly avatars on WADYL. thats just rude.

Personally? Just another glitch/thing to fix with the system. It happens.

Only thing that confuses me is not how the pet ended up winning but why staff didn't do anything about it after it has been found out that the profile is blank (with this and the last pet where it happened as well). After all, the pets who had been owned by the same person and won in a row had been replaced by another pet.

Well, to go all the way back down to the first +15 comments, I think "boring" pets should be able to win too. The omfgz0rs drama and mud flinging from older users is depressing but then again, they are also some of the most famous names in Drama around here so I guess no one expects better of them.

I don't believe that it's Meat's fault. Yes, she could have prevented it, and maybe she SHOULD have, but come on. She doesn't have the obligation to do that. It was not her intention to take away some other pet's chance to be on the news page for a day. Do you really think that she left the settings on like that so she can piss everyone off? She probably forgot about it.

And I don't know if you guys know this, but not everyone cares about the pet spotlight, I'm pretty sure that some people don't even know that it exists. I know it may sound insulting, but it's the real truth. There's a new pet every day that gets their full 24 hours of fame. Every. singe. day. There's really nothing special about that in my opinion. I respect the people that do care about the spotlight, but a lot of people need to realize that some do not, and some might not even be aware how this pet spotlight thing works.

I do believe that the staff really needs to do something about this, though. If I remember, doesn't the pets that get accepted have to have some sort of requirement to win? I could be wrong, but I do remember reading about it before. They really need to check the random owner chosen if the pet fits the requirements before they post it on the news so shit like this doesn't happen. :/

Wow, I'm surprised it happened twice in two week.

But honestly, why so much hate over a little mistake? I'm sure it's going to take more than a week for things like this to get straightened out and all of that. The system is relatively new.
