The new one has the most boring pose I've ever seen in my life. :F has better shading and is better quality etc. etc. I admit, but I really wish it was doing something. Also spikes are a little more out of place than the old. Sorry for being so crtical of the new ones, but if we're going to replace, we should replace for the better.

It's kinda funny how a happy little petsite has become so tyrannical in its commenting process.

To where, if you have an objective comment, you can be frozen or immediately shot down. It's sad if staff/artists can't take a little constructive critism or oppinion of others.

I myself am an artist, not that well ... but, i can take critism, i'm not going to complain and i take it into account -- i don't get all pouty or mad or whatever just because of something.

I personally like the old Telenine, but i also understand that the old artist is not coming back ... So,o i understanding the revamping process is needed, but that doesn't mean i need to shut up and take it. I should be able to complain about it, doesn't matter if it doesn't matter, i want my point to count, or at least go through.

Well. If people want to get all angry about comments, take the box away. It was put here for the reason of public thought on the situation.

"It's greedy for people to leave just because of a revamp you don't like."

...what if you spent all your time and money on that one pet? Collected everything, loved it beyond beleif, and then everything was changed on you ... wouldn't you be a little upset?

I mean. Truly. If the .. i don't know, if the Fester was changed into a terradactal ... and you hate dinosuars, wouldn't you be upset? Ya'know?

...this site is oddly communistic, in my oppinion. If no one can get their thoughts out here, being told what to think or what to feel about something, is a little harsh.

...those are just my thoughts...

Okay, I know it's been a few days since this was posted and I've been puzzling over WHY I voted for the old one instead of this. But first I want to say I don't have a telenine and I don't plan on ever having one. So maybe my crit won't matter for much. Also someone might have already pointed this out, but I don't feel like reading 300+ comments to catch up and 'I agree with [so-and-so]'

The major problem I have with the look of this pet is its legs. Now, the new design and coloring is much better than the previous version. The darker shades are appealing where as the old one was kind of bright. But, the legs here remind me of an action figure toy. The dark shade at the top of the joint makes the pet seem like it's posable. And that is what's bothering me. 6.6

REALLY nice ref image :3 I like the fact she also pointed out the maw and the ear actually, it does look slightly better like that noddles ^^ anyhow, that ref imagine points out what I said.

Okay then - first off, I voted for 'new' however, I DO see a few flaws in the new one that made me shun away from it for hours. I took my time pondering this one as oposed to a few other revamps which I liked right on.

Here's what I think ^^ please take into account that I as an artist and in NO way insulting this telenine's art.

HOOOOOKAY!

First off, I actually like the standing up pose, however, the anatomy of the legs looks off; they are perhaps both too chuby and not angled correctly, because it make sme tilt my head trying to figure out what's going on.

Second, the line of the back makes it look too 'box' like, it should perhaps be curved down in coming out from the shoulder and then going up near the rump (Makes sense? XD unsure if it does) that would also most likely fix this whole 'spikes look off' feel

THe head looks fine to me, as does the neck and the actual chest fluff nod nods I hink it's just a matter of the paws and the back ^^ which can be fixed. Shading looks a biiiiiiit off near the top of the legs (where they connect to the body), it makes it look like a toy where you have the legs attactched to the body instead of them being 'part' of the body (again, make sense? ;____; <--- kinda spanish first lang, I'm not always sure if what I describe in english makes sense!)

Tail also looks really hot, I think ^^

And that's all I hafta say =D! Anyhow, as mentioned, voted new, because I think thu it has flaws, they can be fixed to make it look much nicer than the old version Salutes!

This is 958209842 times better than the old one. The old one was decent.. But, I hated it, really. xD;

This one is shiny. And the color is way better. And the details are awesome. And it actually looks like an animal, not a scribble.

I love the revamp for this! Very nice shading etc. It would be interesting to see how the artists would color such a detailed pet
Very nice!

BTW- When will the other revamps start going through? Iv been waiting for the Fester's poll to come through for ages. When should we expect the Fester and the other the newly revamped pet polls be coming out?

Oh, and Keith, not to sound like a suck-up, but I do agree with you in that manner. A neutral expression would give owners of the pet less of a chance to I guess you could call it "stereotype" their pet. Or something like that. : p

Personally, I think they both look great, the old and the new.

I'll be happy with whichever style is chosen.

If by the minority, you mean the staff then yes, we get to dictate what the whole site wants. Thats our job. If we allowed everything to be brought up with the users there wouldn't be any time to do anything else. We'd be polling the TABLE CHANGES IN USHOP.PHP for days.

There are, of course, other reasons for most of these revamps.

- These artists are no longer on subeta. Lycan most likely wont be returning ot subeta staff. So what does that mean? It means almost any other telenine isn't going to look exactly like this one, becasue lycan isn't doing it. And,god forbid we release something that doesn't look like a telenine.

- We are trying to get rid of the pets with huge smirks, or extremely happy/sad posture, etc. So that people get the pet and make their own personalitys, instead of it automatically having to be happy.

I got my Teleie because of that smirk, and actually it was the telenine that I first saw that made me want to join subeta so bad.

This new telenine looks ..... I don't know kind of short and stocky >_x; it is cute but.. just not what I'd want ):

Could be? Only a could, then? Telenines are limited edition and expensive to get. Revamping them because of their â€˜lack of popularityâ€™ is more then a little idiotic, in my opinion. They are quite popular pets and many people want them, but I donâ€™t think every one on the site can afford to get one to vouch for it. There might be elixirs but you seem to forget that not every one can restock well or afford them.

I think you just reeled off a completely pointless â€˜factâ€™ to try and put something behind this revamp.

Not everything is about consistency and 'styleâ€™. What gets me is that for people who are meant to know what users want, youâ€™re all so detached from how a large amount of us feel itâ€™s frightening.

The reason I wanted a Telenine in the first place was because of the devilish smirk and the way they came across. But now, for the sake of this â€˜styleâ€™ the site has Iâ€™m going to loose that. Brilliant.

Iâ€™ve disliked a lot of the current revamps. Not disliked, even, some times more then that.

They might be the same pet but they donâ€™t have the same feeling to them.

XD Wow, so many people aren't fond of this, but come on people. I think you've made your point. Think about the poor artist's feelings reading over this many posts saying "I don't like it. This and this and this is wrong with it". Jeezu.

Looking back at it, yeah, could tune up the anatomy, but I really think it fits more into the fold of Subeta overall now. It looked too cartoony before (no offense to the former artist). Reminded me too much of the blah artwork at other pet sites. So yeah... If the anatomy is worked on, I think it would turn out rather nicely.

I don't see what all the fuss is over. The artists just made it a little more detailed and gave it a better pose.

In my opinion, I love it. I only wish, though, that te plates upon his spine were a little bigger. I think Debonaire woudl be proud to be revamped to this. =D

I think that the Telenine Elixirs are pretty expensive could be the reason.

Okay the fact people leave over a revamp is kinda sad. Just save the image and put it on the pets lookups. its hurtfull how some people say if this happes thell quit. In my opinion thats a rather mean thing to say and makes the artists feel like there work is horrid when it isnt.

Its sad how subeta is taking a turn for greed.

Its a vote. The staff want to make the magority happy , and nomater what not everyone can be happy. sometimes its best to take good with the bad and not just focus on the bad. It seems the bad is all must sositys seem to focus on now a days Frown

I still prefer the old one over all, but Hanako that red line was a nice improvement.

I can't wait to see Tsume's "re-revamp" with our comments on it taken into account.

If it's being drawn again/touched up, does that mean this vote is scrapped and there will be a new one (with chances to re-critique it), or does the touch-up just get put into place based on this vote? That's the only thing that worries me...

Serialbiter I agree with you to some extend. I do however agree with some of the comments about the anatomical problems.
I think everyone has a right to give critisism about this. I think Tsume has done some really good work for this site, but I just don't like this revamp.
I myself really like the old one, especially the chibi one -pets Rude-. I really would hate to see that one changed. That is why I voted for the old one.

I particularly don't care for the revamp myself, but it appears to be winning the polls so can't complain. I prefer the older one's sloppy happy doggishness and expression to the wolfish looking new one, and hats off to the artist who drew them both. I like the newer one's shading, but will miss the expression on the older one. I think I will be a bit upset, however if the bloodred one is altered (much), however I think the shading would add a nice touch.

No Keith, not really. Apologies for not knowing how to quote. Polls, news comments, all good. But leaving what has turned into petty fighting between staff, users, and users and staff, makes the site look very split.

I am sorry but I have to say this.

As a fairly new user... you do realise how it puts new users off sticking with sites that have full blown slanging matches in full public view? The staff and artists tearing apart users and visa-versa?

I know this is a petsite, but I think some users/staff (no names on no sides of this, just a general view) need to really grow up. You are pushing members away with this.

As for the art, the anatomical problems I agree with, they are being fixed, I look forward to seeing what is next put forward.

The whole ---- owners only vote is stupid xDD Why should I not get to vote cause I don't own one. I may get one in the future, or I may thank that it looks good/doesn't look good. Next election, lets make it "only poloticans do popular vote. People who aren't in the government should have no say at all" So xP. Beyond that, it looks too realish...almost like fan art more than a pet on a pet site. Nice work, but I think the old one belongs here more.

About the Atlephore. I like it's cute face to bits.

I also think no sp should be given out. Some people vote for anything, just to get the sp, when they don't care for the revamped pet.

ANd Hanako, your corrections make a great improvement on the telenine. The revamp version seems to have eigher a) the legs bellow the backbone or b) the legs seem glued on the body.

revamps wouldnt be that bad if they just tweaked it a little bit, in the torrent, it looked all happy and smiley (which is good in my opinion ) and its turned into a monster, like something halfway through drinking a hydrus poiton, and this, its taken a whole new makeover, its facing a different way, it looks more realistic, and it dosent look like it belongs on a pet site, it looks like it belongs in real life, and thats bad if the old version dosent make a comeback and wins ill be devastaded

the torrents lost the poll im really sad all my fave pets hav been revamped, if people dont like them, they will avoid them, making pets less popular, some people may even quit subeta making things a lot worse, i gotta admit this, i absolutely hate revamps do a ghostly one and ill be quit happy tho but dont do a harvester revamp, and i like my keeto, revamp that and ill quit

if this carrys in ill quit subeta, the pets were fine b4, and I agree with NoirRaven, then i could have all the pets that havent been revampd and its got too much shading, its taking away the classic look of all pets on subeta, but wheather i like it or not, ill b extremely sad if the keeto has a revamp

I find this pretty sad personally. People are quitting and stuff over a revamp.

Now, I don't know about anyone else, but if someone left just because I drew something (to make it better), I'd be pretty down on my art.

Why is there even drama over this? The revamp is NOT that bad at all. I'm sure she would of drawn it sitting down if people GAVE her the input to do so. But no. People just say rude things about it after it's done.

Why didn't anyone post about this in the forums? Like "If the telenine is revamped, can we have it kinda like the old one still".

...

I'm sorry but I find this all very sad. Very.
