Aaaand it is 3 months to go until december Let the suggesting commence.
General themes for luminaire -Winter holiday stuff -Snow and the snowtapult -Melody and the snow fairies -Vanya and nostalgic pets -General winter stuff -Coal
here's last years thread for inspiration Luminaire 2019 Suggestions
Some personal suggestions
-Gingerbread houses based on subeta landmarks (saggitarius' tower, the bathhouse, vanya's workshop) -A snowball held in the HA's hand -Board games -Paper snowflakes
Wreathed things that are not Fireside? Garlands like for Morostide already has, but not?
Fancy kinds of mince pies, including weird subetafruits ones
Regional Caroling books..
Direct-to-video holiday special movies (that are readable site books) either through the Carnival or the Hustler.
Collectible crystal snowflakes (toys). Or eat-able snowflakes in Icy Goods, because magic.
Driven snow overlay/foreground. We have some snowflakes that are falling quietly, but none at a consistent angle.
You know how last year we had some backgrounds in the Millionaire Centre that were based on the tree backgrounds? Well, maybe we could have some other backgrounds that weren't included?
And we could have more tree backgrounds too, ones that will match the trees more, like an Atebus background for the Atebus tree (probably Pina Park or something), and some more outdoor areas where there isn't snow for those of us who want to be realistic and have a tree in a place without snow.
Stocking or Glove ornaments Coal food items like Coal Cocoa or Candy DIY crafts like funky wreaths or poorly made presents Poseable Snowmen, Gingerbreadmen or something similar to

Would love deer items! And also more arctic/antarctic animal related things :)
I would love for Dungarde to come back as I was not on at the time and I do not have any of those achievements.
I also really, really, really want this guy to come back in some way(maybe a crystal shop item or even a free gift). That is my two wishes for Luminaire :)
This may be a bit odd of a suggestion, but for old Luminaire items...why not bring back some old challengers from that Luminaire plot, like Clive and Unstable Snow Fairy? And have them randomly drop some old Lumi goodies, like we have currently for Morostide and those old items?

Yeah?! It just dawned on me while battling earlier too. And the loot can be rotated, so next years loot can take from a different older set of items!
I don't remember if Fireside has old items or not. Not that we have much in the way of Fireside opponents anyways, aside Effigy, the carrot and the bandit thief guy.

Now that we're doing major body mods, I want Turkey/Green Bean Casserole/Huge Bread loaf to hold in front of your HA as if you would serve them. If it comes with sleeves then there should be room to layer an apron underneath.
Even though I got the achievements I'd like the Dungarde to come back so we can decorate his cave again and give him gifts.
Seconding or thirding Dungarde coming back, maybe this time he could be the one to do the quests if Jaxon and Ian let him decide on which items he would like. And maybe the prizes could either be old Pumpkin Patch items, or old Luminaire items (since they couldn't get the Wizard to do it last year and resorted to having Quentin do it for less than a week). Although last time I was put off by the inflation and only did one quest, so maybe they should adjust which kinds of items are asked for so we don't run into that problem?
Putting in a suggestion here for backgrounds—I’d love to see an icy landscape that’s cracked, similar to well as a few indoor backgrounds (holiday themed as well as just plain cozy ones) with transparent windows, like
It would be neat to incorporate elements of a Dickens fair or festival into Lumi this year! Dickens Fairs are like Renaissance Festivals, but themed around Charles Dickens and the Victorian era, and often held around Christmas. There could be lots of literary and Victorian elements, as well as some fancier clothes outside of the typical Masquerade fare.
Food Ideas: Victorian-era fancy desserts Even more fancy desserts More interesting/weird fancy desserts Fancy platters of veggies Bizarre yet fancy meat? dishes Beautiful roast fowl (festers/lain/mallarchies? lmao) decorative meat pies More beautiful meat pies Classic plum pudding - maybe a flambeed version?
Books: -Since a lot of Dickens' and other period authors' works were serially published at the time, it would be neat to have a set of pamphlets/newspaper clippings that tell a story over time via the item description. -Ghosts of Luminaire: Past, Present, and Future - a reference to A Christmas Carol -Humbugs and other Pests of Luminaire - same -A Tale of Two Demis - subeta pet version of A Tale of Two Cities -A book of Luminaire ghost stories (ghost stories used to be popular around Christmas)
Wearable Inspo
Misc -Santa Clawsion - could be a set of wearables, a beanbag/plushie, a book, etc??? -a foreground/ground layer items to match with and
Cool New Item Thingy!
Last year I suggested an openable advent calendar or candy box item, but I had an even better idea this year! Similar to the , what if we had a Christmas cracker (Luminaire cracker, obviously :p) item that could be opened to find a silly little prize or candy?
I would love to see more Hannukah (and other winter holiday) themed items! Technically luminere is not Christmas, but it does have an overwhelmingly christmas theme. It's fine since there are less people who celebrate hannukah overall but a couple more items for us would be amazing! :)
Reindeer bootys/legs
Arm positions so it looks like the ha is hanging up lights, or getting out knots of the lights, or just holding lights, or holding snowballs or throwing snowballs!
Reindeers as wearables.
Garlands around the ha as clothing.
I had another thought about old Luminaire items.
Since we have the Carnival giving out old TOT items now, maybe Cinthia could be changed to give out Luminaire items instead of those? But this could be done during any time that the staff have quest givers give out old holiday stuff.
I like 's idea of having items similar to the Moro Garlands but for Luminaire instead, either plain or with decorations on, and maybe if they do have decorations on, they could double as ornaments too?
Some Morostide stuff was already given out via quest, but apparenlty it is not a way to distribute the items in a way that suits the demand? Since Morostide stuff is given out via a non-quest game that Luminaire stuff given out via one or more of Subeta's other non-quest games. That way it can last as long as it pleasee staff to do so like the carnival still being all spoopy still.
I do not know if you are aware of them or not but there are already luminaire crackers on site that you can open. for example.
