Oh hey we talked so much the last thread got closed :') Guess I'll start a new one.

My pity broke at 4.50% on the young heroes banner with a 5* Lyon. Got nothing else from the banner. Sigurd's legendary banner gave me a -atk L!Lilina after 9 orbs. I picked up some of the Golden Week Orb packs against my better judgement and got a -atk LChrom at 14.50%. There was also a Shiro on the circle (which is fine because I'm sort of merging him) but nothing else.

...I don't think i want to summon again.

That sucks :( At least it was leg Sigurd and not Xander? Yeah, I haven't really summoned on any of the banners recently, trying to save up orbs again. The golden week tickets gave me pretty decent results (none of the units I wanted, but 4 5s summons), but haven't been doing anything but free summons recently, so nothing that exciting. I'm enjoying 5x SP though.

Are you excited about Xander weapon refine? Finally, the DC weapons are out of refine jail!

Yeah, at least it wasn’t him, that’s a small comfort. My golden week summons were okay, I didn’t get anything from CYL 1 or 2 but got -atk Sumia from CYL from CYL 3 and BLysithea (-atk) and BDimitri (-atk) from CYL 4. I didn’t have Lys and another merge for Dimitri is welcome.

I’m stupid excited that both Xander and Ryouma are getting refines. I updated my Xander to celebrate and gave him a shiny new kit (he had qr2 equipped before I started, that is how long since I last used him lol). Trying to keep my expectations real though, unless they plan to give Siegfried to any L version of him and want to future proof.

I would have loved to spark a LRyo merge on his remix banner, but I don’t think I’m going to have the resources to do that unless I get super lucky on the free pull.

Still deciding who to use my Forma soul on, leaning on Larcei still even though I gave her a different specal today.

Not sure how practical it will be but I want to see how her Dull Ranged 3 and Distant Ward combo would work outside of the Hall of Forms.

- And then there's me waiting for a RE-Refine for Ephraim OTL Seigmund's refine is SO SAD compared to ANY weapon these days. OTL Maybe Flame Seigmund will eventually get a good refine that will actually serve OG Ephraim. I 4s summoned him with my golden week tickets. He's approaching +10! lol.

- Sounds like a fun combo, you should try to get her Barrier Blade too!

She's got Weapon upgraded version of her strongest weapon she would have gained naturaly.

She did have Blue Flame, but I swaped it to the special in her base kit. Hopefuly her Forma will keep both specials so I can swap between them.

She also has Smite as well (that might be her weakest thing in her skills)

Meenwhile Shannon has a unupgraded Balmung, Steady Breath, his natural special and Reposition.

So Creativity vs practical.....but Creativity is the likely winner here.

- Well, Balmung can't be refined, so that's as good as it gets. Larcei's Edge ALSO can't be refined, so I don't know what 'Upgraded version' you are talking about is.

I'm trying to remember if my Minerva Forma also was able to learn her base kit. I merged her, so she ended up getting them that way if she hadn't come with them. I'm not sure I kept her around long enough to even check. I'm unlikely to summon a forma who I can't +10 merge easily.

All these formas have really good PRF weapons, so it's hard to decide if I want to go function or 'fashion' for these guys. Mine all have their PRF weapons, except Shannon, who has Ninja Katana+ which is also pretty broken (he has his prf special though, which pairs wonderfully with the ninja katana! lol) my Larcei does not have her prf special, cus she got Aether and Flashing Blade 4 early, which also pairs nicely with her PRF weapon with it's -1 special cool down.

Double checked and I realized I was wrong on it being refined. Not sure why I thought it was x_x, maybe I confused it with a weapon I was tempted on giving to her or Shannon.

I prefer to try to give the Formas their unique weapon or a refinement of it when I can if they have one as I feel it keeps some of their identity. Otherwise if they don't have a exclusive at the time I pick them up or I can't get it to appear, I just pick whatever seems to suit them or their skillset.

My Hubert for example, beats people up with a Hp/Speed refined Candelabra and my Sword Rienhardt, while he can swap to his unique weapon, has a Hp/Res refined version of the New Years Camilla Bamboo blade.

Formas come with all of their default skills when you get them, so always worth trying to get a funky seasonal weapon if you can.

Would love a flame Sigmund refine, I run it on my OG Ephraim because it’s just so much better than his regular one. The original refines need to be redone, they are so outdated now cries in Fujin Yumi

- I still run him with the OG refine. I have the rest of his set built around it too (renewal, Sturdy Breath, Aether, att smoke, heavy blade seal) I find that too often with him I can't get the conditions to activate Flame Seigmund's effect, it's far more useful on pony version. I would very much like to see a refine on Flame Seigmund that is useful for both versions. Yeah, a lot of the first refines are just not good, base kit weapons these days come with more effects than those old refines (if, then, and... and ALSO...). Eirika's, thankfully, actually holds up pretty well.

:EDIT: Wow, just watched the vid for the new fallen heroes.... what the ACTUAL fudge? Those skills are bonkers, and no 4s drop, RUDE! No body wants Zombie Orson >.< but I guess we get him for free. I'm just like... wow, ok, this game is just for the whales now, brb, I'm just gonna go toss my phone in the ocean. (Edelgard's sprite looks hecka dope though, gotta admit)

Hah, yeah someone posted a graphic of every effect she has and she has like 10 or something from her weapon and prf skill alone. Fallen El is so ridiculous they actually coded for her (and F Dimitri) to not show up on PvE maps. Can’t wait to face her in arena :/

In other news, got me my nice refined Xander and Ryomas :3 Really happy with their refines, they are not fancy but they are what they needed. Sort of sad that I don’t have enough orbs to really get the spark this time on LRyouma’s Remix banner but guess have a new goal now C:

- Ryouma's refine is good, null follow up means he can double wary fighters (like Fallen Eddie >.<) I only have OG Ryouma, and he is -spd, so I probably won't invest in his refine. I'll pick up Xander's though, since I have him at +5, maybe spiffy up his set too, cus he's still running armoured blow and QR2. haha. Might get Camus' too, he is also at +5, used to use him a lot. I can only afford 1 of the refines rn though.

At least in arena she typically starts next to other units, so it's harder for her skills to active, I'm dreading seeing her in AR, where people can just stick her solo in a corner. >.<

Haha, I spiffyed up my Xander too ready for his refine and he had Death Blow 3 and QR2 when I went back to him. He's now +10 (I had the grails and feathers and hadn't decided on a new project yet so why not). He now has Steady Stance 4, Lull Atk/Def and I was a bit stuck on a C so at the moment he has close Guard (because he is a protective older brother after all) but I'll swap it out for a smoke skill soon, or a tier 4 threaten or menace if I can get one. Also trying to decide if I should sack my only Osian to give him Mirror Stance 3, since he will want the res buff as well as the guard effect.

I've been playing around with LRyoma and he is amazing, so much fun to used he made the arena quests fairly easy to get through. He puts up a good fight but he does fall to the abomination that is Hegemon Edelgard.

Speaking of, the final map of this latest chapter was stupid with invincible cav Fafnir running around and Edel being nigh on indestructible if she transforms. Ingrid and Mininerva didn't even scratch her, and Lynja did like 9x2 damage :/ Almost want to send feedback about it but they're not going to nerf her now that a ton of people have summoned her. So far the only unit I've found that can deal with her reliably is Bridal Micaiah - untransformed she's gets the one shot but she needs dominance once Edel is full monster-mode.

i'm lucky enough to have Bride Micaiah, but I'm also wondering if it's time to invest into Petrine so I can get a high merged beast killer.

- I dunno if I'll +10 my Xander... maaaaybe Camus, but I already have a +10 sword cav.

Between the raijinto refine and Bushido II leg Ryouma really shines now. I hope Leg Lyn gets a nice upgrade, she's the only legendary I have with any merges.

I haven't tried the maps on lunatic yet, but I am dreading it OTL. Before she was even released I could tell that fallen Edelgard would be stupidly hard to damage. She gets Wary up to 25% health, and +18 to her already monsterous defence, and guard so no specials, AND she heals 7HP after combat. So effectively, a melee unit needs to have 70 att to even get 1 damage on her. >.< idt IS really thought that one through very well. OTL ... shrug give it a year, she'll be obsolete, and 70 att will be the norm.

Defeating Edelgard on the lunatic maps is ridiculous...unless you slap a mystic boost sacred seal on Hel and end all your turns without attacking. No other teammates are even necessary...it's so broken to fix a character by using what looks to be an exploit :'3

- Hahaa, I hadn't thought of that, yeah, if Hel heals 7 HP at the end of each combat Edelgard can only get her down to 1 HP. I might have to try that, but I'll use my default team first to see if I can figure something out, more satisfying that way.

She's already wrecked my arena score 3 times though, and battling her in AR has also been a nightmare.

I agree, it's way more satisfying trying to take her down with a regular team. How in the world did this design get approved :'3 Like power creep has been around forever, but she's just so far beyond everyone else, haha.

Ahahaha yeah, fortunately I'm not a very competitive person so I only do the aether raids for the daily stuff...I haven't come across her yet, but I can only imagine, especially if she's been shoved into a corner by herself >-<

Sadly I don't have a Hel but that is a great idea! I've been experimenting with Petrine and she is able to one shot chapter 7-4 F!Edel before she transforms. After transformation... she takes a healthy chunk out but ultimately dies to her. She currently has a very barebones kit though, and no merges or dragon flowers though, so still a lot of work to do.

I've also seen Null Follow Up/Ruptured Sky baby Innes take her out transformed... I was wanting to build him anyway so seems as good as time as any. She also doesn't do so well against AOE specials so if you can get a strong enough one that should be helpful in taking her out.

In before LLyn gets a skill upgrade that makes her a direct counter to FEdelgard, haha. I haven't seen her in AR or Arena yet thank heavens but I'm really not looking forward to her being a bonus week character.

- Well, the broken one came home, with a good IV too -spd +HP Also got Dimitri x2, a 4s Seigbert, and 5s Percival, all in just my ticket summons. My historic bad luck with fallen banners has turned around maybe. lol.

Still haven't tried the lunatic maps, been focusing my stamina on the FB maps. Not looking forward to it. lol

That would be amazing, if she gets some null f/u and some extra base damage like ryouma got. I'm using her as my bonus unit in AR this week. Her current prfs are ok if you can get them to activate >.<

Looks like Lyn is up next for the remix so have my fingers crossed she gets something good!

I decided to yolo it on the remix banner to try and get a Ryouma merge... had to spark him but did get some great fodder on the way - Byleth, Julian, Takumi and also LEphraim on the last circle. Also got another Seteth merge, which was great. Did significantly dip into my orb stockpile though. Hoping I will get enough to spark on Brave houses rerun too but we have quite a few events between then and now so hoping I can do it.
