Oh that reminds me. Does anyone know why RD was such a weird game? I mean it was the end to PoR which genuinely was great! The storytelling is by far the best in the series if you ask me. Super interesting world, great convos, fun world. I believe that the DS emblems ultimately would have killed the franchise because of, again, very questionable marketing choices.

They did everything right by making it optional and leaving to enjoy the game how they want. I am glad the whole difficulty discussion after the souls debacle got to an end. Pheonix mode in Fates on the other hand felt very weird to have. The dating sim vibe was more then creepy and it was obvious what they were going for with all of these sexy units. I am so glad 3H decided to go in a different direction.

- It's because it was the sequel to PoR, but then it didn't have the characters that people expected from PoR for like half the game. I think that's what killed it. lol. They had that marketing gimmick where if you played PoR you could port your game and give stat buffs to the same characters in RD... and then those characters didn't show up until like halfway through the game! And I think it kinda ticked people off. Along with the weird branching paths, and having to change your team every other map, the game didn't really play cohesively. Plus they got rid of support conversations which was very :( for me. It was still a great game though! But I think it didn't live up to the expectations of the fans of PoR. (Have you noticed that the 'Dawn Brigade' isn't in FEH yet, nor have any of those characters been doing well in the polls? It's not cus they're not good characters... it's because they aren't the Greil Mercenaries. Nobody wanted the Dawn Brigade... and still no one does. OTL)

Yeah, I really disliked the whole 'dating sim' aspect of Fates. The whole game was very played up for the fanservice. The character designs, the hot springs, and the towel outfits, and the fact that some of the units had abilities to remove other people's clothing.... like just ugh, why? I am also very glad they went in a different direction with 3H. When I first heard there was a time skip I was concerned they would try to do the 'child units' thing again, and I was very much DO NOT WANT! I was very happy to learn that that wasn't the case.

AH yes, Fire Emblem Warriors! I suck at that sort of gameplay and easily got bored of it. ;3;

I paid more attention to book 4 then hiatused during book 5, came back and no clue what is going on in 5 and mildly intrigued :0 I think book 4 wore me out, it was too Alfonse focused and I disliked how it ended.

@ fates dating aspect, ugh that was overkill .___. I didn't like how they explained the children either, just felt like making more units for the sake of them and copying from awakening. I wasn't a big fan of children units as a concept anyway in awakening. I'm glad 3H did not continue that trend.

From what I got from some interviews it seems both Tellius games were not liked in japan, not really know why, from what I remember of the interview it said that japan ignored completely the tellius games.

Telling you the true, I actually wanted that part of fates, maybe it's due to me playing alot of otome too (various not only visual novels) , it was made to attract some more people, to not let the whole series to die-

I agree that the child units makes no sense. Sadly, since I liked some very much (like Soleil, Ophelia, Shigure, Ignatius, Sophie, Selkie, Caeldori).

Oh yes, that was it! I wonder why they sold so badly. I believe many people didn't really like the GameCube too which turned the whole project into such a mess. I still love the games and I really hope that we will revisit the stories and the games eventually since I found the many characters mostly quite interesting and not too one-note.

But what I wanted to ask you all was what you think of the current state of the game. What does it need and how they could maybe get in some more traction. I am still very much in love with the crazy new aesthetics they are bringing to the table. I mean the recent story chapter felt a bit rushed for me and I am a little sick of Loki, but do you think that we will fight Thor and the other gods eventually? I really loved the cinematic though. The art of this game is what mostly keeps me hooked right now.

Yeah, game cube was a weird console, I don't know many people who had one. It would be nice if they re-released those games on the switch, now that the franchise as a whole has way more fans and support.

Hello! It seems we got new shadow figures! From what I can see, it's probably more 3h heroes (one looks like Caspar) What do you see in it?

- Yeah, I definitely see Caspar on the right, lots of people are saying Ashe for the left, I can kinda see it, but those arms look pretty feminine (but i guess Ashe is kinda feminine lol) Ashe and Caspar are best boys, definitely have to save up for them if it is both!

I have mixed feelings about this banner... one the one hand kinda mad it's a clean 3h sweep again, and for the same theme! How boring. :( Also another hilda alt so soon? (Plus Marianne who will have another alt come Brave banner) And blue duel cavalry 4... ugh. Knew it was coming but not looking forward to seeing all the reinhardts in the arena again. Rip. (At least he cant pack dual db if he has bdc4) But on the other hand, Caspar, Ashe, AND Leonie? Those are basically my three favoruite characters from 3h... plus leonie is free, and caspar is the 4s, so I cant really be upset about that. I may even build leonie.

I decided to do a couple of summons on the new summer banner to try to get the final merge for my 5 ⭐ +9 Merlinus, but got the Summer Hilda/Marianne duo (+Def/-Res) instead! :D It took less than 15 orbs! I’m going to make out like a bandit and stop while I’m ahead. I’m going to have fun using the duo in the Tempest Trials+!

The only 3 Houses student missing in FEH in any shape or form is Ignatz. I hope he gets some recognition at some point. I was still surprised and happy when Raphael showed up in the Plegian banner as a 4 ⭐ to 5 ⭐ focus. I managed to +10 him in 404 (orbs not found) orbs. Plegian Raphael is one of my favorite armored units in FEH!

- Congrats on your +9 Merlinus, and Hildanne! I have still only summoned one 4s Merlinus so far, and he's -att OTL His Heroic Ordeal was a pain in the butt!

Wow, 404 orbs, I could never save up that many (and refuse to spend money on this game) Probably wouldn't have even managed to get him to +5 in that either. OTL. When I was summoning to try and get Henriette on the Devotion banner, I spent over 250 orbs, and in that span I only got 3 Alphonse, and nothing else focus from the banner. OTL I've got the worst luck (though someone showed me a twitter today of someone who summoned no 5s enough that they got the guaranteed 5 5s summon circle.... almost guaranteed that if I made it to a 8.75% pity rate (again, cus I've been there before they made the guaranteed summon change) though that I'd end up with a 5s pity breaker on the last summon before the penultimate 5s super summon)

Ignatz :( I guess I truly have the most unpopular opinions when it comes to my favourite units, cus him, and the 3 new guys that showed up on this banner are my top picks from 3H OTL. (still lowkey hoping that when/if they introduce normal Caspar, they introduce knuckles as a new colourless melee weapon type, we've got colourless (and coloured) of everything else now!)

Got Ashe early, what a good boy. Caspar was a little more stubborn, but along the way I got Hector, Sonya, and a Fallen F!Morgan, so I guess it wasn't so bad. Ashe got a great IV too. He's such a good boy. I'm going to build Leonie I think. Her art and stat line are pretty good, and I have no other mounted bow prospects atm. Briefly considered Python, but ultimately decided against it.

Christmas Fae, Summer Lilina and Larum, I don't have as units.

Larum is getting the most interesting skills but last I heard Christmas Fae is pretty strong on her own right. Lilina is kinda just there but she's still a contender with what she's getting.

Not as hard of a choice as last time but still not a easy one....though chances are high I'll walk away with Fae after this event. Christmas Units tend to be the holiday units that give me the most trouble on pulls.

- I've been trying to focus on Winter Fae, she's gotten DC and Dragons Ire. If I can get her a save skill for her C slot I'll splurge and get her, but so far the best I've managed to get her on C is joint drive res. And she hasn't gotten any good special options either. Since I was focusing on her, the rest of my units have been sorely neglected. Larum only has dance. lol. Brunnya's doing ok with only having SS3 and Lull spd/res. Lilina.... man, even with good skills she is quite useless. I gave her one of the horse SE daggers and Lull spd/def, att/res push4 and she still can't take out even green ponies in a single hit. OTL I hit a road block at level 22, I can't seem to get past it! I keep getting bad RNG luck. SO MANY kinshi hinoka! No one on my team can deal with her. Lilina's too slow, Larum is too weak, she ahs too much res for Brunnya to take out, and Fae keeps getting wrecked by her SE against armour weapon. I have also encountered an abnormally large number of falchion users OTL.

I was sooo happy I got Caspar and Ashe! I do not really care for yet another Hilda. Mercedes looks gorgeous but I have no idea what to do with her, so I was very happy with getting my two best boys quite early! Leonie looks wonderful too! I kinda hate it when characters come out as seasonals prior to their normals release, though. Especially Raphael felt more than weird, haha.

I've only just started and all the numbers are super overwhelming. I'm just working my way through the story with a few units I've been able to get in the current banners.

Marianne + Hilda was the first one I wanted and I managed to get them with the free orbs I collected through the story. They're two of my favourite Golden Deer students so I'm so happy! I'm running a full GD team with Claude, S!Leoni, S!Lorenz and S!Hilda+Marianne. I have no idea if thet're viable but I'm having a blast. I managed to pull S!Ashe as well but I can't break up my Golden Deer team. I'm waiting on Ignatz now though.

- Welcome! I can't imagine starting out with this game 5 years in OTL. Seems like you've got a pretty good team going there though. Those are all good units, although, it's all ranged attackers and mostly colourless, S!Ashe would be a good addition to round the team out a bit. (If you don't want to break up the Deer, Winter Hilda and OG Hilda are both on banners right now too, either of them would also be good additions!) I'm also waiting for Ignatz. Hopefully the wait won't be too long, he's the only 3H student we don't have in one form or another now. (would also be a good addition for a 'back to school' banner! lol. I low-key really want this now! lol)

I kept meaning to join way earlier but I was playing so many games I just couldn't start another and it kept getting put to the side. I just wanted more FE story hah. I probably won't do much arena so I'm not too bothered about min maxing. I keep thinking about changing out someone for Ashe but I don't know who! I love them all so much ha.

- The struggle is real OTL There's a few new games I want to play, but I have no space on my phone.... or time in my life, so it's probably for the better. I've been playing FEH since day 1, it's so much fun to just have an army of all my favourite FE characters in one place. The competitive these days is a real struggle, it's hard to get anywhere without spending lots of money, even for the veteran players. But hey, the whales are keeping the franchise alive (have you see the amount of revenue FEH is generating for IS/Nintendo?? it's crazy to me how much people are willing to spend). I'm a (mostly) F2P player and have managed to stay in T19/20 in the arena most weeks, so I'm pretty happy with that. I mostly just do the arena for weekly free orbs. Just pick your favourite units and build them, and give them nice skills when you get them and you'll get there eventually too. There's a lot of good new units to pick from in the 4s pool/grail units, I think that has made the game pretty accessible to new players. I'm still running a book 1 team though cus I've grown with them, they are slowly becoming obsolete though, even with resplendent forms and 4th level skills and dragonflowers, the power creep is real.

Next Resplendent is Merric. He's supposed to be from Nidvellir... I don't really see it. He's got the same shoulder thing with the gear on it, but mostly.... he just looks like The Dark Magician (from yu Gi Oh) lol. Reminds me of ye old argument is it steampunk: you can't just glue a gear on a hat and call it steam punk.

Gosh you all are so lucky ;;; Ashe is still avoiding me, and I don't have more orbs... please tell him to come home...

I got a free Bernadetta from that banner, with another -att IV OTL. I fed her to Summer Leonie for her lull spd/def. It was very fortuitous, I was about to use a bunch of divine codes to get the manual version of her, so it saved me 4k divine codes!
