I love the banner! And I won't pull on it, haha. The new GHB character is super cool and I really can't wait for him. When I saw Palla I cried lol. THERE ARE SO MANY PALLAS HAHAHA. But the art of every new character is as pretty as even and I wish everyone good luck on the banner! Nott is precious too.

I love the banner, really hope I can get Palla and Nott (in before I get complete circles of colourless orbs). But it seems to be great fodder too, finally easier access to Swift Sparrow!

Awakening was my first FE, and for all its story issues Fates is very dear to me too. Currently working through the back catalogues as well, Sacred Stones was great but I need to pull my finger out and finish up Blazing Blade. Also have a Geneology file on the go, I find the game very intense so it’s taking me a while to get through it. I’m currently on the Silesse chapter... I’ll finish it one day.

The Midpoint banner looks really nice, but I’m going to make sure I have enough orbs for the Choose Your Legends banner. I want to free pick Brave Marth and spark (summon 40 times and pick a guaranteed neutral copy of a focus unit) for Brave Gatekeeper.

I’m a lot more excited for the refine for Karla’s Vassal’s Blade in the upcoming update. I have her, both versions of Bartre (normal and Spring), and the regular version of Fir at 5 ⭐ +10. I still want to get a copy of Spring Fir. I hope she’ll be available in the next Hall of Forms. I’ll be more than happy to grab a Forma Soul pack for Spring Fir.

- I'll probably do what I usually do for Cyl, summon until spark, and hope I get 2 along the way, and spark the 2 I miss. Last year I actually got 3 along the way, and I still have my free summon. I dunno who to pick. cus I'll probably just be using them for skill fodder. Leaning Lysithea.

Vassal’s Blade

Edited base effect: Accelerates special trigger (cooldown count -1). If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Spd +5 to unit and deals damage = 15% of unit’s Spd.

Also with the effect refine: +3 HP (the other stat boosting refines give +5 HP), if foe’s HP ≥ 75%, grants Atk/Spd +5 and neutralizes effects that guarantee foe’s follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit’s follow-up attacks during combat.

Edit: I decided to spark for Nótt since a sparkable Dark Aether Raids Defense slot-boosting Mythic is just too good to pass up and also, her name is too close to one of my favorite Dragalia Lost characters, Notte, the pink-haired fairy who I sparked for during the 2.5 Year Anniversary Gala Dragalia banner. I’m gonna make sure to save so I can still spark for Gatekeeper when the new CYL banner comes out.

- Hrm, that's a good point about the AR/MS extra slot and a sparkable leg unit... I really don't care for her design though :(

I saw you were talking about first games... My first was FE7 (Rekka no Ken/Blazing Sword) , then I played FE6 (also on gba) and cried ahaha... then ofc 8- I played most games (only missed 9 and Mirage) but my favorite is, no surprise here, 7. Even if I actually started loving it due to Marth and Roy in super smash bros melee.

I love this banner, I got Luthier, and I hope to get Palla too, she looks too beautiful...

I realised if an Awakening banner coulld happen during the fall, there could be a back to school banner and Vaike could be a teacher. /wishful thinking lol

yeah it was before FE7 was translated in my country, so I only knew Marth and Roy back then. I then found it in my favorite shop and bought it, along Golden Sun- yeah 7 is my favorite even tho 4, 5, 8 and Gaiden/Shadow of Valentia are really close. I don't really like 9/10 due to several elitest being very nasty to anyone liking other games then 9/10. I'm ok with both Awakening and Fates (I used to rp in the awakening fandom) and while I loved 3h, it's not "the best" in my book (I'm old school ahah).

Now I'm waiting for the summer banner... I'm not ready ahaha....

Back to School banner, lol, I could see Teacher!Vaike, Teacher!Miriel and student!Ricken all being on such a banner! Time to hit the books, literally!

- Yeah, elitist fans ruin everything. I played FE far before I played any smash game that had FE characters in it. (played the shit outta Super Smash Bros in uni, but never had access to a game cube to play melle). 9 and 10 were good games, and the first on big consoles to hit the NA market, but the other games are just as good. Do those fans that only 'like Ike' realize that they almost destroyed the franchise though? 10 didn't sell well in NA, and neither did 11, and 12 they didn't even bother translating for the NA market. They basically did a hail-mary with Awakening, if Awakening didn't do well that would have been the end for the franchise. Thankfully it did, it did better than expected in fact (I couldn't get my hands on the game until 3 months after it came out cus none of the game shops stocked enough thinking it would tank, I didn't pre-order it cus I thought I'd be able to find it pretty easy) I like 3H in that they more successfully did what Fates tried to do with the branching paths. Fates was such a flop in my mind OTL. The game itself was fine, but I like FE specifically because I like the story and characters, and Fates fell SUPER flat in that department. 3H has pretty good character dynamics, and not as many 'tropes'. It still has it's issues still though.

and yeah, I hope Vaike's not just an alt either but I feel like he scored his best in that "who do you wanna be a teacher" poll they ran ages ago and I feel like we haven't really seen a teacher/school banner to explain that poll (unless I missed it or the point of the poll idk :0) so I feel like his best chances to get in the game is to become an alt which is better than nothing I suppose D:

You mean Fire Emblem Warriors! I find it unplayable on the 3DS. I have sunk waaay too much time into that game on my Switch and did all of the endgame. It's nothing special but I loved the supports between all of the characters since they were voiced very well! I kinda wish they would make another on, but in the setting of FEH since it would really fit well and I would love to fight within all of these interesting dimensions with beautiful graphics and action combat! And poor you! Maybe we'll get a cool remake soon. Who knows!

Fates did suuuuper well tho! It's so crazy to me how they were able to rescue the series by taking such a big risk with Awakening and it bothers me sooo much that Fates was so bad because of the ridiculous marketing. I always loved the art design of that game, but ugh, those dialogues killed me. The maps were severely lacking too, but Conquest still is really fun to play if you ask me. Not only are the characters more interesting, but the maps don't only rely on the silly gimmicks. But yeah. I do love talking about FE. There is so much to say, haha! :D

What do you guys think about the current forging bonds? Any opinions on the dialogues or do you just skip it? ^^

- Maybe one day they'll make an emulator and you can find a rom OTL. I got the switch mostly for FE, but I've also enjoyed Yoshi's crafted world, Pokemon, Untitled Goose Game, and Mario Odessey. I have Breath of the Wild borrowed from a friend, but I'm not sure when I'll get around to it. Haven't even completed the previously mentioned games, or all the branches of 3H

- Warriors is another title I never played. I only had 3DS and heard that it was really bad. I got Smash Bros whatever the 3DS one was called around the same time that came out, and the smash bros one was pretty bad on 3DS, I heard that warriors was worse, so I avoided it.

I think Fates did super well mostly because awakening did well, and they did good marketing, like pretty art books etc. I actually bought the 3DS XL Fates version cus I love the franchise, and I liked the designs on the console.... which I had hoped they would make better use of in the game? But the dragon crest power thing was like only on the main characters, and were very gimmicky. (I only JUST remembered about those now actually, thinking about the 3DS XL) But yeah, especially the in game dialogue and plot were just like star wars prequel trilogy level of bad OTL.

My first FE was Path of Radiance...I was so happy when they gave us summer Rhys, haha~ He was always one of my absolute favourite characters. I was pretty young back when PoR came out though, and didn't really know what the heck I was doing lol. So I didn't really get back into the franchise until Awakening, which in a way kinda feels like my first FE as well, because I had gone so long not playing it. Sacred Stones, Fates, and 3H are among my faves, too~ Now I'm just trying to get older games that I never had a chance to play before.

Current +10 goal is Lyon (shadow prince), though I also try for Takumi whenever he's on a banner...like right now, but I spent all my orbs for bridal Oboro sob TuT but I managed to pull her within hours of the banner ending, so I was happy, lol. Although....that meant missing out on L!Eliwood AGAIN...the temptation of orb packs was strong this time around TuT

Does anyone pay much attention to the Feh storylines? I enjoy them, even though they're not super deep and the ending of book IV left me very .___. This chapter I found a little on the boring side...they can't all be gems, I suppose, lol~

- I forgot to say this about the Fb convos... Tatiana... hanging out with the healers. . lol. I'm a little sad she's not a healer, I might have built her if she was. As it were, I'm working on Ilyana as a blue tome, and their stats are very similar, so it would be silly to build both.

- I love my +10 Lyon. He's one of my AR staples, super useful against the likes of Leg Leif/Alm, Fallen Edelgard (any edelgard), Brave Lyn, Bramimond. I'd like to get him close foil or CC, for now I've got att/res solo 4 on him, which is also pretty great for baiting other mages/healers.

As for the FEH stories, I've been following, but they're kinda meh. I feel like the newer books (IV and V) have mostly just been an excuse to create more rando mythic heroes. I liked book III. I hope we will eventually make it back to Emblia and find out what happened to Bruno. RIP.

Exactly!! They are "IkeisthebestforeverandMicaiahtoo" and always fail to see that RD almost killed the series and awakening saved it (they have a super hate for it too, since it has become "waifu simulation" in their mind.... )

I been following the story, it's not bad but not the best either- I like the references to various names and creatures, but I don't like that witch/sage one bit.... sigh.

- FE was a dating sim far before awakening, those people just never played FE2 or FE4. lol. Awakening wasn't as much a dating sim as Fates though OTL. At least you didn't invite people to your bedroom for 'light petting' lol And at least the child units made sense in Awakening, rather than just a shoddy shoe-in (cus it worked last time!) like it was in Fates.

A lot of diehard fans also hate Awakening (and beyond) cus they made perma-death optional. But I think that was a good call, it makes the game a lot more accessible to people who aren't as savvy with the gameplay, and also those who want more of the story element than difficulty.

- I guess technically, PoR was my first FE game. I got FE7 when I was like 14, and I wanted to play it like pokemon, using all the units and keeping their levels even... and I never made it very far, I kept getting stuck like 5 or 6 chapters into Eliwood's story, so I kinda gave up on it. Then later while staying at a friend's house, we played PoR and they simultaneously had a guide open, and I was like.... the internet exists! Guides are a thing! After we played through PoR I picked up my old GBA again and found a guide for FE7 and finally finished it.
