With the parchment invitation there is a permission slip for a parent or legal guardian. It would seem underage witches and wizards can't read the full slip; part of the trip is a surprise to be revealed later. Any parents with questions can contact the Headmistress directly. You are welcome to turn in your permission slip to Gaia or Harper.
((OOC: You are welcome to RP your response, where you are, and/or getting ready before going to the Leaky Cauldron. Please add this in spoiler tags - subject: GETTING READY. This will help anyone having different RP's going on or those joining in later.))

As you walk in you notice the sign on the entrance.
Main restaurant closed for special event. Bar still open for public.
"Welcome!" Gaia said with a grin, "I am glad you could join us! Harper will be out in a minute. She is taking care of last minute details in the kitchen." She was bouncing from excitement as she moved out of the way "We might have gone a little overboard with decorations, but please come in!"
As the room came into view you notice the palm trees around the room and colorful flower garlands wrapping the columns of the restaurant. It is then you are hit with the sweet and spicy aromas of the food being set up in the far corner, close to the kitchens, it is there you also notice a small stage being set up where a gramophone was being put into place.
Suddenly Gaia interrupts your thoughts "I know! The music is going to be A-MA-Zing!"She giggled "really, we worked on getting a good mix of muggle and wizard music together, but mostly we have some tropical music to set the vibe!" As if in cue an upbeat Calypso with steel drums started playing and the palm tress started swaying ((a little bit)) to the rhythm of the music. "I hope you enjoy! I will be collecting permission slips at the door and I will be around if you need me. Enjoy!"
Not too long after, Harper emerged from the kitchens and beamed at their first arrivals.
"Hi guys! Glad you could make it. Hope you are enjoying your holiday," Harper grinned widely. It was evident that she was enjoying hers almost too much. "Make yourselves comfortable, we're still waiting on some more people to arrive before getting things started. You can sent your jackets and other belongings at that table in the corner, if you'd like."
Getting Ready
Paddy read the note for the umpeenth time, trying to figure out what the bottom of the permission slip had said. Her parents had signed the slip without any questions and her Mum had offered to take the Floo with her, just so she didn't get lost. Just before she grabbed the Floo Powder, Paddy realised that despite re-reading the note, she didn't have a jacket with her. Running to her room, she picked the first jacket she could lay her paws.... er hands on, and ran back to the fireplace in the living room. Taking a deep breath, she threw the powder into the fire, yelled "Diagon Alley" and stepped in, hoping that she wouldn't end up in the wrong grate.
Opening her eyes, which she'd screwed tightly shut to stop any soot from getting in them, she clambered out of the fireplace closely followed by her Mum. As luck would have it, she'd actually arrived in one of the nearby shops rather than the Leaky Cauldron (she didn't want to have her Mum show up with her if she could help it). Waving to her Mum as she headed back to the fireplace to return home, and wishing that she had a smidge more confidence in using the Floo network independently without risking getting lost, she left the store and wandered over to the Leaky Cauldron. Outfit Not Found Gaia and Harper had certainly gone overboard with the decorations - there was a distinct tropical look to everything, and Paddy wondered what they'd planned for this summer bash. "Hi Gaia" she said with a grin at the way her friend was bouncing with excitement, "this all looks amazing! How long did it take you to think of all these decorations, let alone get them all put up?"

Getting Ready
Rosie had returned home for the term break with her Summer Bash invitation and permission slip. She had left the invitation on top of her mum's pile of post and gone about her usual violin practice. Later that evening her mother Joséphine had inquired about the party and satisfied with her answers signed the slip. Going to Hogsmeade was one thing she could trust her child with, but the Leaky Cauldron in London is quite another. Rosie had tried to act as if going out by herself wasn't a big deal, yet secretly she had been immensely excited for the party. Her mom had clearly noticed her feelings and found it adorable. Her daughter's eyes had flashed between clear blue and green whilst she talked about the group tour in Hogsmeade. Now her eyes were doing the same as she watched Joséphine sign her slip. She chuckled softly and prompted her to do her ballet practice in the studio. Whilst Rosie ran of with a big smile Joséphine read over the invitation one more time. Rosie would be unaware of the great fun awaiting her on that day.
The day of the party Rosie dressed in one of her comfy yellow skirts, a simple sea-green top and grabbed the soft cotton green jacket with the pastel yellow bow. Adding a big, very big, bow to hear hair and pulling on a pair of shoes she looked in the mirror of her room. Deciding a little sparkle was needed she chose a necklace and matching ring and ran down the stairs to the living room fireplace. She called out a quick goodbye to her parents and floo'd herself to Diagon Alley.
Somehow Rosie had found herself in Diagon Alley and had not made a mistake in her excitement. With a big beaming smile she walked down the street towards the Leaky Cauldron. As she entered her eyes widened in amazement at the decorations. She quickly found the gramophone and her smile brightened more. If dancing was going to be involved Rosie was sure to have the best day of her break. "I can't wait!" she laughed and handed Gaia her permission slip. She bounced over to the table in the corner and left her jacket there.
((this looks like fun!!))

Earlier
Millie had just returned home after working all morning in her mother's bakery. She had been looking forward to a nap. As she started to go upstairs to her bedroom, she father called out from his study. "Hey Mills, is that you?" "Yes, dad" she responded. "You got an owl" he told her. Millie sighed. She went into her father's study and smiled. He had the day off from work but was still working on a few things. He handed the note to her and she opened it. "Oh"
she said. "Anything good? her father asked. "Some friends from school are having an event at the Leaky Cauldron.
Can I go?" he nodded as he took the invitation from her to sign. She went up stairs to freshen up and picked out one of her new dresses. She grabbed a sweater before leaving her room and bounced back downstairs to the study. "Okay dad, I'm leaving. I'll see you later." "Have a good time. And don't hang out with the legal peers." he told her. This made her stop and call back, "wait, what?" "Nothing". Millie shrugged and walked out
The Tudor's semi-detached house wasn't far from Diagon Alley, so she opted to walk. She walked into The Leaky Cauldron and waved to everyone. She had been feeling lonely since Emmett went back to Durmstrang to finish his schooling. She hung her sweater up and joined the smaller group.
"Hi everyone!" she said cheerfully as she handed her slip to Gaia.

Fade’s family had been visiting his muggle grandparents when an owl flew in through the open window during brunch and caused a commotion. The looks on the faces of the people gathered were so hilarious Fade thought his sides would split with laughter. His mother however was unamused and stepped in immediately. Taking the letter from the owl with a thank you, she turned back to the room to explain how Fade’s school had been running an old post revival program, and that the owl was quite free of rabies and other mites. But when her father-in-law commented about “whatever happened to texting” she also cracked a smile.
In the end Fade’s mother agreed to let him go. She decided that she would accompany him only as far as the apothecary under the guise of needing to do some shopping. Fade could tell she was being overprotective, but the fact she was willing to step foot on a magical street was progress in Fade’s eyes. He couldn’t say no, even if every bone in his teenage body wanted to. She had quite the aversion to magic and such after her family had disowned her for marrying a muggle. But little by little she was coming back around.
Sputtering Fade stepped out of the fireplace and sneezed quite a few times. His mother was not far behind and began wiping the ash off his face before he could lift and hand to bat her away. “Mom, c’mon. I’m fine.” She narrowed her gaze at her son but soon cracked a smile. “I think you’ll need this.” She handed him his signed permission slip and sent him on his way.
Fade took his time strolling down the street. It wasn’t nearly as busy as it was days before school began, and he could actually see some of the smaller shops and vendors he had missed every time before. Eventually he made his way to the Leaky Cauldron and pushed open the door. “Hey guys!” He gave and a hug as soon as he saw them not really thinking twice, he had missed his friends terribly.
“Heya Harper, Millie.” ( ) He waved at the girl he didn’t know. () “Hi, I’m Fade.” He smirked and averted his gaze, no doubt his face was turning a bit red. “Looks great in here guys.” He decided to keep any coconut and grass skirt comments to himself.

Eros casually made his way downstairs, a phone in one hand and the other hand barely sliding along the banister. "Mom...," he said softly with a slight longing in his voice. There was no answer. He made his way to the coat closet and grabbed his jacket, putting it on. "Mom" he called again, this time louder. Still no answer. She either wasn't home or not inside the house. She was getting good at avoiding him. The teenager decided to check outside.
It was a clear sunny autumn day, but somewhat on the border between cool and chilly. Note to self, rake leaves, he made a note to do the chore tomorrow or whenever as his footsteps crunched through the fallen dry leaves. He made a lap around the ranch before concluding she probably was out doing errands. Or just hiding from him in general. He couldn't tell anymore. He could call, but decided not to. Eros went back inside and to the kitchen, grabbing a pad of sticky notes and a black pen. The boy left a note for his mother, although she already knew he was going to the bash thing today. After sticking the note where she would find it, he made his way back upstairs and grabbed one of the swim trophies, a portkey, sitting on his trophy shelf.
((ooc: will properly join after work))
Getting Ready
Keet was secretly excited when the owl arrived with her invitation. Although she was still rather new to the school, and so also a bit nervous, she was looking forward to seeing some of the new acquaintances she had made again. Her mother signed her permission slip without any hesitation, saying that it would be good for Keet to socialize more with the other students. Keet sent her response back immediately, giving the letter to her little red screech owl, Ophelia. She was very interested in what the remainder of the letter had said, but she had been unable to read it.
The day of the event, Keet reread the invitation to decide how she should dress. She braided her hair, and settled on a comfortable cotton dress and some pretty, flowery flats. She decided to add some sparkly accessories, and a little floral wreath, complete with an enchanted, twittering bird. She hoped the wreath wasn't too eccentric, but she adored the little bird! Glancing at the invite again, she realized that she had almost forgotten the jacket. Looking through her clothing, she picked out a white, flowery jacket, and got ready to leave. Hoping that the soot wouldn't spoil her outfit, she waved goodbye to her parents and took the Floo Network to Diagon Alley.
Outfit Not Found
When she arrived at the Leaky Cauldron, Keet straightened up her outfit and opened the door. Peering around, she noticed the colorful decorations and the palm trees. She smiled at Gaia, handing over her permission slip, "I love the decorations, it looks like you and Harper put a lot of time into them! I can't wait to hear the music you have picked out, thank you for the invitation."
Keet noticed that a few of the other students had already arrived. She smiled nervously, and waved to Paddy and Fade, who she remembered meeting before. She decided to put her jacket with the rest, and then debated whether to introduce herself to the students she didn't know, or to wait for them to approach her.
Harper beamed, glad to see a good amount of people had started rolling in. She was glad to see some familiar faces.
"Drinks should be out shortly! I was told the starters would not be too long either. I hope you are hungry!"
Getting Ready
It was no surprise when over breakfast five owls came around dropping letters. Magnus’ mum made quidditch supplies and keeping up with orders was always a bit hectic. However, Magnus got a fairly large amount of letters himself. Most of them were from friends, but one was from school. He read over it several times before he was beaming. “Looks like a party at the Leaky Cauldron may I go?” he asked his parents. They looked over the letter and signed it.
“Sounds like fun,” his mother said. “I’ll drop you off in the morning. I have several things I need to do so you’ll have to roam Diagon Ally for a while by yourself.”
The morning of the event, Stella Lee apperated with Magnus on the side into Diagon Ally. “Alright darling,” she said, “go and have fun.” She handed him some money and shuffled off to buy things she needed for her work.
Magnus wandered around the shops and bought a few things here and there before arriving at the Leaky Cauldron. The boy was pleased to see several of his friends already there. He put his bookbag over with the jackets (there was one inside for him if needed) and ventured over to the group. “’Ullo everyone, how are you all doin? ‘Aving a nice ‘oliday?”
getting ready
Elizabeth's break at home had been a quite wonderful time. She had spent some days with her best friend Lotta but also visited Diagon Alley as well to go shopping.
One morning, a letter arrived. Elizabeth quickly glanced over it and then handed it over to her mother, smiling sweetly. "May I go?", she asked. After studying the invitation for a while, Elizabeth's mother nodded. "Sure...I don't think anything dangerous could happen there.", she said. "Great!", Elizabeth exclaimed, "and can I take Muir with me?" Muir had been a gift her parents finally agreed on - a beautiful king snake. Her mother sighed, but her father nodded in approval. "I don't see why not." , he said and smiled. Elizabeth smiled from ear to ear. "Thank you! ", she replied and finished her breakfast quickly. Then she rushed to her room to get dressed properly. Stuffing some money in her pockets, she took Muir with her down the stairs to go to the fireplace that would bring her to diagon alley.
Private Outfit
Stepping out from the fireplace, she carefully brushed any ash from her clothes and made sure Muir was fine as well. He was still not full-grown and curled up on her shoulders. As she had visited Diagon Alley quite often over the last days, there was nothing new that caught her eyes. Therefore, she wandered over to the Leaky Cauldron. She noticed some familiar faces and waved her hand shortly before placing her coat on the table in the corner. The Leaky Cauldron looked quite neat and tidy. The scent from the food that was prepared in the kitchen was overwhelming, but in a good way. Turning her gaze back to the students, she noticed how little she had interacted. She remembered talking with some of them, though.
(OOC - didn't know whether I should ping Riptide as well and decided not to, due to the lack of post :P Don't want to rush anybody xd )
It was weird that he was heading to a summer themed shindig. For him, it was nearly winter and the London weather didn't do much to convince him otherwise . But as he approached the Leaky Cauldron, he could hear upbeat music being played, the kind of mood music that played in the background of tropical getaways. At first, he thought it was coming from the record shop next door, but it was definitely coming from the pub slash inn.
At the door, he saw the Gaia was collecting the slips that accompanied the invitations. He pulled the crumbled up ball of paper from his jacket's pocket and ironed it out with his hands as he reached her. He handed her the wrinkled permission slip, subtly stained at one corner from grease. "Hey," he greeted awkwardly, his eyes scanning pass her to see who else was here. However, before going in to join the other, he quickly kissed her on the right edge of her lips.
He smiled faintly and headed further in to join Harper, and the group that had already arrived.
((ooc: if i missed anyone, blame Anne, I copied the pings from her =P))
Magnus waved to the girl just entering. "'Ello," he said, "Er... Elizabeth, right?" He met her before but they hadn't interacted a lot. He smiled at Eros. "'Ow are you? 'Aving a good break?"
Millie's face lit up when more people showed up. She had felt embarrassed by the way the last term had ended. She had been so sleep depraved, she became an anxious mess and had to leave the last workshop early. "Hey Fade, Eros, Keet, Elizabeth, and Magnus. I hope you're all enjoying your summer. What have you all been up to?"
"I'm glad I didn't eat lunch at the bakery today. I didn't get the invitation until I got home and was about to take a nap".
Eros' gaze wandered to Magnus and stayed on the boy as he was greeted. "Just been catching up on video games. Helping mom out with chores around the ranch. Can't complain. Always nice to have my own room again," he smirked. "Feeling a lot of withdrawal from not getting to practice Quidditch as much though," he added, answering both Mags and Millie at the same time. "And you guys?"
Harper greeted Magnus and Eros as they arrived, but decided today was a good day to reach out to some unfamiliar faces as well. She smiled at Millie.
"Your name is Millie, right? Sorry if I've gotten your name before... I am horrible at remembering names! Anyway, I love your dress! I always love watermelon schemes. Not a big fan of the fruit itself though."
http://i.imgur.com/9amZoj2.png">/img "I am glad you came!" Gaia hugged her friend "Harper and I have been working on this for a while. Mostly the idea came during one of the workshops last term. It seemed like a good idea to put together and here we are!" Gaia noticed Rosie had come in and called out to her "save me a place on the dance floor!" ()
"It's good to see you Millie()!" Gaia waved and grabbed her slip. Soon after Fade () had made his way to the party "It would seem you are right on time, my good sir." Gaia laughed and winked at Fade. "I am sure Paddy and I will join you soon!"
"Hi Keet! () Love the outfit! Watch out for the birdy. I don't think the kitchen will be too happy if it flew in there!" Gaia laughed "I mean it would be fun for us." She giggled and waved her friend in. Gaia was excited to see so many of her friends arriving already. In that moment Harper () said something about drinks "Get me a passion fruit juice, please!"
Gaia starred at Magnus for a moment "I don't know about you, but is there something different?" She fake inspected her friend "something seems different." She giggled "the best holiday! I can't wait for today to be full force!" () Gaia waved as Elizabeth came in "Hi! It is great to see you! How has your holiday been?" () She didn't get to finish her full thought when Eros () made his way towards her. "Hi, how are..." It happened so quickly she had no recover time. "Well I guess that is how we say hello now" she grinned and watched as Eros went inside shaking her head.
((OOC: I have greeted everyone so far! I know some of you moved on already so we can move forward ^_^))
"Been 'anging out at various friend's houses, gone to the zoo, 'orseback riding, dragon sanctuary. Its been pretty good," Magnus said.
Magnus gave Gaia a quizzical look. "Different?" he asked, "er, not that I know of. You look good by the way."
Getting ready
Merlin have spent all morning helping his mother brew potions and had gone flying when his letter arrived. Since it was from school his mother opened to read it and panic. "The Leaky Cauldron? But that's too close to Knockturn Alley..I don't think I want Merlin there." She debated between giving him the letter or destroying it, it wasn't like he have never been on that location but never on his own. Just as she wondered her boss entered and she hid the letter thinking it was Merlin. "Oh, it's you Gabriel." She looks side to side and whispers. "Should I let Merlin go to this?" She gave him the letter.
"Why not? I'll take him."
"But..."
"Don't worry, he'll be with friends. He won't go to Borgin and Burkes or any other shady store." Alwina turned pale when he said that and sits down. "Al, it will be fine, let him go. Just sign the slip."
With a shaky hand she sign and then sighs. "If he gets hurt...I will hunt and destroy whoever lays a finger on him."
"Calm down, you sound really scary you know?" Merlin entered the room just then. "Hey buddy, guess who was invited to a party?"
"Are you having a date with Tams?" He smiles and wiggles his brows.
"Nope, you were invited to the Leaky Cauldron and I'm taking you." Gabriel smiled and Merlin clapped. "Seems like he wants to go."
"YES!" Merlin ran to get his backpack. "Let's go."
"It's not now silly, here is the invitation." They both laughed but his mother was still sulking.
"Thanks mom for signing the slip." He hugged her and went to pick what he would wear.
Merlin arrived at the Leaky cauldron with Gabriel and said goodbye to the man before he left. "Thanks Gabe."
"Have fun Merlin, say hello to the boys if they come." Gabriel quickly left and Merlin entered the location looking a bit shy. He looked around to see who has arrived and if anyone known was there.
