I really like the new version.

I think the feaher earring should stay.
The front legs look a bit stiff. Give them more shape should thin them out and give them a more felxible look.
The hind legs need talons

Ugh, no. I loved the first suggestion, when it was more catlike. It reminds me of a fester now, with that big old beack. blech Take the one that you guys showed before and stick some talons on the front of it. The feathers in the ear are random and do not match the shade of brown of the rest of the body.

Not impressed. I think the artist could have done better. the things that need to be fixed are the legs and the beak and i think it would not hurt to make it thinner and a new pose!

You kind of have to keep this in mind. Every time there's a revamp, you compare it to things. I mean, it's nice that you all want them to look accurate but... it's an Aerie, not an eagle? I like the front legs. They're like if birds had paws! ^^ Whatever happens, good work on the artist's part. 8D

OMG ... i ABSOLUTELY Adore this revamp. I'd get one in a heartbeat and i don't even think i'd turn it a differen't colour. It's absolutely perfect just the way it is !!!

The front legs to me look like it's wearing stiff boots. Combined with the earring and expression it looks like it's playing dress up.

Other then that, I agree with the others on the problems.

I don't really like the bird-like feet of this revamp. I have always liked the feline type feet of the older versions.

I don't know. It's drawn well, but it's very bulky and masculine. I like the thinner body type like the Hydrus (which I personally think is the best drawn Aerie of all of them).

Those are talons. Four long thin toes, and very thin legs.

On a sidenote. The first revamp? shudders I'm really glad it's Not in the poll.

I think it looks great It looks very majestic. The only thing is that it's haunches look a little spread out - aka the legs are all wide open xDD The front paws need to be put in a little more. I love all the feathers though. So huggable.

Besides the fact that I fail to see the ultimate manliness of this Pet I think it's quite funny to see so many people complaining about it while it's all perfect and great when it comes to the contrary...Sheeta in its common pose would be a great example, I cannot remind seeing anyone saying that it looks too female now when it was revamped some time ago...well. shrugs

I think it should look more like This , This and This.

These have more elegance and bird-like grace that are shown in the first revamp. This new one... the art looks great; The detail is great; but the design is disappointing.

This is an absolutely beautiful piece of art. I had no idea it was an aerie at first, though. Not meant to be criticism, just a 'Wow, Blaze.'

And reading through the comments here, I really can't believe the nerve of some people.

The chest is too big, the head is too small, and the front legs are too bright a color.

Other wise, this is pretty amazing.

I whole heartedly believe that there needs to be a change to the Earie - but this looks WAY too masculine. Sure, it's nice that we get some larger - bulkier pets.. but wow. I think the front legs are too wide and heavy for bird legs.. maybe check on the width of real bird legs to get something better? Also - the lines that make up the back leg just look.. off.. and the paw doesn't look realistic. I also don't really like how the tail feathers mesh with the wing color so well.. It kinda mutes the pretty tail feathers behind the wing - maybe have the tail feathers laying on the floor - curling up just a bit? It'll add a bit more to 'im I'd think. The feather earing is -love- but I think the head is too small for those large ears. O.o; but.. that's just me. e.e;

I absolutely love it. Jag's creativity really shines. She kept the feathers from the first Aerie on the ear. I love the feathers on its rear, and the wings look great.

I don't see much fault in it, and would be glad to have this as our new aerie.

This is beautifully drawn, but I'm with the crowd who likes the old revamp better. It's a bit more fun, even if it leaves much to be desired. I prefer the colors on it as well. If the old revamp was taken and tweaked a bit (add eagle talons and an earring, plus a few other things) I think it would be fantastic. If the team does decide to go with this new one; however, It's ok. The beak kinda looks akward, as does the placement on the earring. Still, it's fantasticly drawn.

I absolutely love that but I agree, it could use some more elegance and the front legs should be more bird-like. But I'm not complaining, it looks a lot better than the current Aerie.

I actually like it quite a lot Subeta is choc-full of dainty little pets, and it's about time we had a bulkier choice. I do, however, agree that the front legs look a bit off... birds have at least one back-facing toe (two if you're referencing it off of a parrot), and gererally have twiggy-er legs

I love the idea of this revamp. The feel is much more mature and natural than the current aerie. However, from an artist's standpoint, I do see a few minor flaws in anatomy, nothing that can't be fixed, though. Never having been an Aerie fan much at all, I don't think this revamp will make me much more of one, but honestly that's just because I have a slight dislike for birds. XD

', 'User Information');</script> I like the wings on your example. The tails don't interfere with the wings when they look like that. The talons are a little better, still missing the fourth toe though. Front legs look better too. I'm not fond of the head at all. The beak looks weird. The revamp's head is really cute, and eagle-like. The way it should be.

Just wanted to point out that yes, big cats can retract their claws. The only feline that can't is the cheetah, which this is obviously not based off of.

I did prefer the original revamp, but this one is starting to grow on me actually. The front legs look too much like a paw/talon cross for my liking, but numerous others have mentioned it as well. I would like to see the green wings and tails from the original revamp back, it added a splash of color to the pet and made it a bit more interesting. And it would help tie in the lovely earring.

Here is my 2 cents...I LOVE IT! This is one of the few revamps that I have voted for without reservation or suggestions to change. Whoever the artist is, you did a fabulous job! 2 Thumbs way up!

the first revamp is hideous compared to the new one. the new one looks like a griffin and thats what the aerie is.

Overall it's a vast improvement but there are so many things I just do not like about this revamp, manyly the head is too small, i know the intent was to be small but I think it was slightly overdone, also the back legs are just weird and really don't resemble animal lages that much, i thnk it's most likely the toes, I did a redline just to show what parts I think could be improved on:

Oh, I just saw the fist revamp and I think it looks much cuter than the new revamp. The new one looks a little bit too... muscular to me :/ The first one was more elegant, I think.

I absolutely love its new look. I honestly really enjoy the brown colors, it makes it look rather natural and the green feather earring is pretty nifty. The wings are a bit small and the feet look just a bit wonky however but that's all I find wrong, I'm pretty much restating everything people have already said, sorry XD Btw, the tails look so fluffy -^.^- * snuggles *

It's way too stiff. I like the older revamp better, it looks more relaxed and fun.

And the colors and legs are a little off in my opinion.

What I think should be done:

Thinner front legs. It would still be able to hold the body up seeing as it's avian and they have light skeletons. Birds who fly have thin legs.
Longer/thinner toes on the front legs and add the fourth, backwards pointing, toe. Just so it's obvious that it's bird feet and not cat paws.
Add claws to the toes on the hind legs. It's hindquarters are from a big cat and they can't pull their claws in. And it would make the paws look less like human feet.
Bigger thigh. Thighs have big muscles and are bigger than that.
Less saturation on the earring feather's color so they don't stick out as much (with Photoshop it looks much better with -30-something in saturation).
