errr The first leg I mentioned should be the "front right" - but same thought on the hind leg too. I think it's those extended lines that make the limbs look humanly-long and thus a little poster-girl.

My first thought, too, was "too anthro female, a bit suggestive." About two hours ago, my (male) kitten was in this pose but got up to investigate my camera when I got it out to take a comparison shot. :-p

Here's what I think may be causing some of the "problems" at least for me.

Take out that strong defining black chest fur line, and also take out the left leg's body-attachment line so it looks less like a human arm. Tone down the same line-definition on the upper portion of the left hind leg. I think if it were repositioned a little differently too, with more fur on both of the back legs, they would look a little less "bikini pose." I would like to see a little bit of "white space" between the head and the tail. I think the muzzle could also be just a bit bigger, about the proportion of the old one.

The art is really smooth and the stylization is otherwise quite nice.

I feel so bad for the artist because the Feli is so popular it practically gets a ton of feedback/complaints when it comes out XD; Feli has a cult, I swear.

Personally, I like this new version a lot better. True, it's not perfect, but the old version always bugged me. It's hind legs were in a very awkward, unnatural pose, and the line put behind it's shoulder made it look twisted and skinny.

A couple of points:

A lot of cats DO have 'fur-boobs'. For example, my cat.
They are known to sleep in awkward, odd positions. Like this, and this.
Am I alone in thinking that this is more suggestive? And that's Garfield.

I personally love the revamp. (Although, as someone below me pointed out, the nose does seem a little squished. But that's all. ^^)

I'm voting for old. The pose is odd, and the shoulder is way too small. It does look somewhat like an anthro, and I don't like the fact the the tip pf the tail is blocked. No way.

The chest does seem a little strange x) But I only noticed because it was pointed out in one of the comments, so it's nothing worth changing.

I like the pose, because it's nice and cat-like, but I think another one would be better...I just find that with so much more of the body showing, and the markings made smaller, the Feli seems more plain. Maybe move the tail so that it comes around or over the Feli's legs. That'd spread out the little bit of colour more, and would get rid of the general awkwardness of the tail as it is now.

I....I think this is hilarious how offended people are getting by its general pose. Have you ever monitored your cats acting and general lounging? You do realize all cats lay like this at some point? My cat does it often and she doesn't even do it for whatever reason you're having a little hissy fit over. She does it because, oh I dunno, they have their limbs differently jointed than ours are and find it more comfortable laying in a position such as that? Dogs do it too. Oh and yell at someone because the pose SOMEHOW offends you, it isn't their fault you have different views on it. Pff, I draw furries and such all the time and I didn't even think this pose was remotely that of the suggestive sort until I saw everyone whining about it. I actually applaud the artist for getting this pose down so well as I have yet to get it right, awesome job

Love the shading, but I think the body is twisted badly, and the head doesn't look placed properly.. That's what would stop be from getting one. Apart from that I love it compared to the old one.

No way! My feli is not in heat! I see the new version is getting the most votes so I'll be looking into an elixir the moment the change is made. I just can't stand the new version. The face is adorable, but my God that pose is horrible! Those fur boobs are idiotic! The left hind leg crossing over the crotch is not appealing at all. If you have to change the pet why not keep the face and start over? All this one needs is a pole!
(remember that other poll we did not too long ago? Remind me again how many kids under 12 are on this site.)

I just asked my 67 years old mother what's her opinion is for this picture... she said it looks as if someone drew a cat in a pin-up girl pose.

Er. I see nothing wrong with it. Well, nothing you could change that would drastically make a difference. As for being "Sexy".. I'd have to go with Kabuto, I just don't look at toon animals like that. :s

Personally, this is just about the best feli I've seen yet. Which is really saying something, considering I've been a die hard fan of the kitty pretty much since I've joined.

My only small quarrel about it would really be shading on it's left forepaw (The one laying on top of the other front paw,) and that's only the shading on it. It doesn't seem to be going with the same light source as the other paw, and to me it would look better if it was shaded from the other side.

And as far as the boob thing goes, I honestly didn't notice that until people started freaking about a cat having boobs. Which is kinda saying something, seeing as my mind lives in the gutter. Naturally now I see it, seeing as the idea of a cat having boobs is etched into my brain, thanks.

I still don't really see it as a big deal, because this is a magic cat from fantasy land, and if it has an uber fluffy chest, then it has an uber fluffy chest (Which, in fact, it's always had so I fail to see the big deal.)

I'm sorry but... I just don't see the whole "LETS YIFF ~~MURRR~~" expression everyones talking about... Maybe I just don't look at animals sexually enough 8C
and.. having seen the cats I foster take up this pose on MANY occasions I don't see that flaw either... I still don't understand what happened to the last revamp but again, this one is another MASSIVE step up from the current... although... the 'fur boobs' everyones mentioning is deffinately valid... I've... never seen a healthy cat have its fur go into to elongated separated lumps like that on its chest before D8;

First I thought, wow, a revamp, will be great... then I saw the revamp and.. well... I don't like it.
It's not bad, but there are some things, that are looking wrong.

the right foreleg and the angle of the shoulder seemes not to match, I don't know how to explain, it just looks uncomfortable and painful to me.
the hole thing looks more like a furry than a feli to me, it's to long and the posture is more humanlike than animallike.
I miss that upwards looking, innocent gaze from the feli. with the position and that look it's more like a cat-girl looking for 'fun' =(

Hope your not getting angry now, but it just seems wrong to me and doesn't look like a feli.

Yeah, the kitten like bit that defined the Feli is gone, i do agree with NoirRaven in that. I would prefer that to be kept personally myself. There are already cats that are not "kitties" on here, the Feli was a Kitty.

Don't mind the chest fur, but the hind legs make it look far too anthro. This is a pinup pose, not a cat pose! I'd say either have it sitting on all four legs (kitty meatloaf style) or stretch out both legs -- the top leg being folded like that is what really makes it pinup-like.

Whats wrong with a sexy pet? I see girls squirming around Skelly and Phoenix and enjoys that, but when a pet vaguely shows some character it's "evil"? I don't see anything sexual about the rewamp xD
Maybe it's because I do' have sex on my mind... I don't know.

But I really like the feli, it really feels more like a cat, playful (in a non sexual manner)! ^^
And it's always nice with a pet that displays some charater then just sitting there like a lump! x3

One thing I must admit I kind of see what others are saying, but I personally don't dislike it. It's the "fur boobs" as it's been named as. I think the reason it gets to look like it is because the fur line is more centered and long. I haven't tested it myself, (because I like it as it is) but I think it would be less that way if the line is put more to (our) right, in line with the neck line, and maybe shorten the line at the bottom just a tad.

But as mentioned, I love how it is now, it displays character, and I think those who see something sexual about it are really trying to see it.
I think it would be fun if there were a playful pet in a teasing manner here, so maybe sex it up! AHAHAHAHA 8D

I voted for the new pose cause its cute, but I really do prefer the wide eyed innocent look of the old feli. In spite of the votes in favor of the revamp, I hope they dont change the feli. You should actually do a revamp on the Malticorn, because the plushie is so much cuter than the actual pet.

You say we're complaining for no reason or meaning, well you're wrong.

The thing is... The Feli is already a CUTE species. You can't remove that basic element, call it a Feli and expect no complaints.

Same thing happened with thee Tigrean. When it was revamped, it was too cute and fluffy for a big pred so we complained and we had a right to. Someone had to fight to keep the big cat from turning in to a cub.

And it's the same thing with the Feli only reversed. You've taken the "Aw!" out of the kitten and turned it in to a cat. The Feli has always been a kitten-like species, it's what we like about the species and what makes it unique, more so than the chibi horns and wings.

Also, I don't understand the need/desire to remove what makes a species special/unique, throughout it's basic colors. Special features (like being cute as a kitten) shouldn't be reserved for a handful of special colors; especially if that species is cute to begin with.

If the species is already cute, make it's revamp just as cute, no more no less.

cats usually have more of a triangular sorta chest fur sticking out rather than 2 rounded shapes It doesn't bother me either way on that part, but that's why people see that. I was thinking the hind end of the body is sorta off from the front, the chest doesn't curve enough to meet the belly. It's not bad (I can't believe I am saying that about my favorite pet revamp, that's actually quite a compliment ) It did lose it's innocent look though, and does seem to have a loving purr-ness exuding from it, which I am okay with, it IS a cat after all...lol

Sexual or not, I don't like it. The shoulders don't look right at all, there's no mass to them. The head looks too wide and almost like it has a bald spot ontop, sinve the rest of it is fluffy, while that is not. The eyes are a but too happy for me, too, though I like the detailing on the cheek above the mouth..
What really turns me off from the Feli is the lack of connection; the back and the front look like two totally different Felis; As if the front half is one Feli closer to us and leaning on something and the bacl of the Feli is another that is laying behind it on a table, curled in one of those... flexible cat poses or something.

Oh and for all those who are complaining about the tail position... What is your problem? Obviously it's in mid-swing. Cats flick their tails up that high all the time when they're lying down. (Admittedly it's usually when they're annoyed.)

However, if you guys want that changed, try editing it WITHOUT enlarging the image dimensions. Not only will it make the edit seem more doable but you'll actually keep the image within the proper dimensions.

Exhibitted: How can you say that previous revamp is ugly? o.O It's actually really good and frankly, I prefer that revamp to this. All it needs is a few cosmetics.

Omigosh, this pose is even MORE PERFECT for my Xev than the current one! Though I actually don't think the pose looks that sexy... it just looks like a cat... but I gotta admit it would be easy to edit it to look that way evil grin All my pets are edited anyway, so I don't really go too crazy on wanting to red-line something if I like the pose, cause I'm gonna change it anyway

Though to be honest I prefer the old head, this one looks a bit... round.
